Someone once cracked a joke that a wedding ring is the smallest handcuff and you should choose your prison wisely.

It sounds absurd calling marriage that but realistically speaking, marriage used to be 'a once you're in, you stay' thing, but now it seems that the beauty of marriage has dwindled, and wedding vows are just like mere words in a storybook....especially for our celebrities that should be our role models. Regretfully, they are the ones our children are looking up to!

A lot of them are using assault as an excuse, like seriously? Almost all the female celebrities that are getting divorced are claiming they were being beaten...is it like a celebrity spell or something? Or a virus? If it is, how come it has not affected people like Omotola and the likes of them?

I am not saying they are lying but are these women so into the fame, the thrill of being popular that they seem to forget that once they are off the sets, they should go back to being dutiful wives? Maybe...we cannot be too sure. But please, if this is a virus that is spreading, they should find the anti virus..

This is Nigeria and all in the name of 'open eye', we shouldn't destroy the dreams of those yet to be born,and give them short of something to look forward to. As a woman,imagine your daughter telling you she wants to get a divorce because that's what's in vogue.... Please choose your husband wisely and stop turning your personal lives to Nollywood movies...

Young model, Linah Keza, took part in the Miss Africa beauty contest, 2010. Three years later, the body of the 29-year-old model has been found in a pool of blood, with her three-year-old daughter crying next to her.


A Rwandan national living in London, she was pronounced dead immediately her body was spotted while her child is being taken care of. According to sources, a man has been arrested in connection with the murder.

Linah, who had worked as a model and studied social work at the University of Wolverhampton has attracted quite a number of sympathizers, especially on her Facebook page where torrents of heart-breaking comments have poured in.

This is really tragic, may her soul rest in peace.

This is very shocking indeed. Who says the world is not coming to an end. Aswad Ayinde, 55, is an award-winning director but is currently undergoing trial for fathering children with his daughters. Of five trials, a second trial just recently sentenced him to 50 years imprisonment. Already, he had been sentenced to 40 years imprisonment in a first trial.

Mr. Ayinde was found guilty of raping his second daughter as far back as when she was eight-years-old. The depraved man fathered four children with his second daughter. In the first trial, it was revealed that he was trying to create a 'pure family blood line' to survive the apocalypse.

Mr. Ayinde’s former wife said he was trying to create a ‘pure family bloodline’ by impregnating his daughters. He even claimed during a pre-trial hearing before the first trial that 'the world was going to end, and it was just going to be him and his offspring and that he was chosen.' According to court records, he also fathered 12 additional children with an additional three women.

Mr. Ayinde is known for directing the music video for the Fugees 1996 smash hit ‘Killing Me Softly.’ With his wife too afraid to confront him, Mr. Ayinde carried out his evil plan without hindrance even while directing the music video for the Fugees 1996 breakout hit ‘Killing Me Softly, for which he won ‘Best R&B Video' at the 1996 MTV Music Video Awards.

He was said to have hid his face with a piece of paper during his sentencing.

On a more serious note, this young girl is Carissa Yip and in just three years, she has moved from being an ordinary learner of the game of chess to being an expert at a younger age than anyone since the U.S chess federation began electronic record-keeping in 1991.

She has been called an intimidating player in an ironic way, because she’s far short of even 5 feet tall.

Her father, Percy, who taught her until she began beating him within a year, said she could reach master level in as soon as a year. “Some never reach master level,” he said. “From expert to master, it’s a huge jump.”

But she also set a goal for herself this year to reach the master level and also to one day, become the first female to win the overall championship.

Okay...came across this question myself and I thought to ask you. Have you ever served in an orientation camp that had daughters of senators and politicians, governors and the President? If no, is it that only the children of non-politicians are supposed to be serving the Fatherland whilst the rest of 'em rich politicians send their children to school abroad, without coming back to observe the one-year compulsory national service?

If they actually do come to serve, are they usually posted to the villages too? Or rather, do they even have PPAs at all? A friend of mine, a serving Batch B corps member tells the story of how a certain Governor's son in his orientation camp was allowed to sleep on a whole bunk of bed on his own without any bunk-mate.

Some of us had certain ideas about the Mrs. "who" that we have always wanted to be. Behind, Behind names always come to our heads but do we always end up marrying a guy with a Behind surname? Many considerations usually come into choosing a life partner but as funny as it is, there are also some seemingly trivial ones that might even have disqualified a prospective one in the first place- like the surname of the guy that just introduced himself.

As Punch reports, mother of first lady, Patience Jonathan was on Monday, involved in a ghastly auto crash along Elele road in Rivers state at about 4pm which claimed her life.

Mrs. Iwari-Oba, who is from Okrika Local Government Area, was said to have been on her way to Bayelsa State when the accident happened.

A member representing Ogu Bolo State Constituency, Mr. Evans Bipi, who is a relative to the deceased (through his aide), confirmed the incident saying; “Yes! She was involved in an accident and she died. Her body has been taken to a mortuary. Bipi was among those who took her body to the mortuary,” Unconfirmed report indicated that her corpse was taken to Kpaiyama Mortuary by a team of policemen and a member representing Ogu Bolo State Constituency.

When contacted, the State Director of FRSC, Dr. Kayode Olagunju, declined comment on the matter, saying, “I cannot say anything on this matter now until I get full details." Effort to also get reactions from the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Angela Agabe, proved abortive.

This is the second time the first family will be mourning over a close relative at Aso Rock. May her soul rest in perfect peace and may it be the end of all such...(Amen).

Growing up was fun....whether you are Behind or from the "paco" side of life, games must have been a major part of your growing up years.

I can remember playing Mario computer game on Family Com to such an addictive extent that my mum almost banned us from playing it. Those days, the moment we heard her footsteps by the door, we would switch off the game-set hurriedly and make a dash for the room. Of course, the hotness of the television and the game-set always gave us up on the fact that we'd been in front of the television, playing game all day. You can guess what finally happened...the game blew up one day (hehehe) and "our eyes finally came down".

And oh...there were generations of those computer games. The days of Family Com to those of Nintendo, Sega Mega and the PS generation. How can I forget "Game Boy"- the one that defied the availability of NEPA's electricity to provide unending fun...Those were the days mehn!

Who has ever broken a neighbour's windshield before because of an insignificant football match with some other kids? A neighbour's broken winshield is always less, compared to a broken knee or something similar. My brother once turned our dinning table to a tennis table when there was no other option...and the handible house paintings were the make-shift bats.

Some school exercise books just would not last long enough because of paper games; the likes of "any name, any name", "what did I write?" and of course, the paper soccer too. Many of us spent countless hours doing "tinko tinko" and "ten ten"...perhaps there was something energizing about the rhythm of the claps that made these games irresistible.

Oh...the days of no worries; when life was just sleep, wake-up, eat and play...at least to the best of our knowledge!

The little girl was caught by the surveillance camera. She came in with an older girl but to me, seems it was well planned as the older girl seems to shield her from the view of the shop attendant. Immediately she stole the it and was about keeping it in her pant, she quickly and smartly went to the back of the lady she came with to properly hide it

Take short, frequent breaks. Getting up and moving around for a few minutes can reinvigorate you. Spending a few minutes with the lights off, your eyes closed and your feet up also can help you recharge.

Cut back on activities. Scaling back can help you get more rest when your workday ends. Consider doing your shopping online or hiring someone to clean the house or take care of the yard.

Keep up your fitness routine. Take a walk after work or join a prenatal fitness class, as long as your health care provider says it's okay. It can help boost your energy level.


Go to bed early. Aim for seven to nine hours of sleep every night. Resting on your side will improve blood flow to your baby and help prevent swelling. For added comfort, place pillows between your legs and under your belly

Dreaming

It is said that babies have rapid eye movement in the womb in the later months that indicates that maybe (just maybe) they are dreaming. What does a fetus who has never seen anything dream of? Probably the world where they come from…

On a more serious note, the fact that babies do all of these while still in the womb goes to show that they are alive even while yet they are not born. Pro-abortion activists should take note.
