News just reaching me confirms that the family of Tastee Fried Chicken (TFC) boss, Mrs Olayinka Adedayo, has been thrown into mourning as they have reportedly lost their only child and son to the cold hands of death.

Olubunmi Adedayo, who was an executive director at TFC, reportedly died on Tuesday, the 24th of September in the US.

According to reports, Adebayo’s illnesss started in Nigeria and was subsequently flown to tne US for treatment but didn’t make it.

He is survived by his parents, A wife and two children.

So so sad and may his soul rest in peace.

We all know how workload can be usually 'killing' however, working efficiently is important for any business but getting snowed under is a too-familiar situation. A well-structured workload is key to good time management and will increase your productivity. Find out how to prioritize tasks

1. The to-do list. Don’t keep it on different post-it notes or in your head — at the beginning of each day or week, write on a sheet of paper what you want to get done and
by when. Rank tasks according to importance or urgency to plan your day and focus your mind.

2. Review your workload regularly. Is there one task that always ends up at the bottom of the pile? If you find you’re avoiding it, can somebody else do it? Consider delegating whole projects that you don’t need to be involved in or allocate a specific time when you only do your admin, for example.

3. Remember the 80:20 rule of workloads. It’s very simple — 80 per cent of our work contributes to less than 20 per cent of its value. Concentrate on the most crucial 20 per cent of your workload, because performance would still be strong.

4. Set realistic deadlines for your tasks. Look at your to-do list and estimate the time each task needs to be completed but don’t be overoptimistic. Be honest of what you can achieve in a working day or week so that you don’t feel overwhelmed from the start.

5. Allow time for interruptions. If you need to finish a certain task at a certain time, only deal with urgent queries during this time. You can then quickly pick up again where you left off.

6. Structure your workload. Avoid picking up a job, doing a bit and then putting it back on the pile. Deal with them one at a time and finish each one before starting another. Your mind will be clear and ready for the next one.

7. Don’t let your inbox drive your workload. If you get 50 mails per day, this means 50 interruptions to your day. Don’t check your inbox every time a message arrives. Switch off instant alerts if necessary and allocate a time when you will check your inbox.

8. Fun, fun, fun. [/b]Ticking items off your to-do list is great, but are you concentrating on the quick-and-easy ones? Tackling more challenging projects first might mean more time, but also that a major task is completed and a weight off your shoulders.

[b]9.Keep multitasking to a minimum. Starting a number of jobs simultaneously means most of them won’t get your undivided attention. Think of multitasking as dealing with more than one task during a day, not at the same time. That way you focus on the project in hand.

10. Keep a log of your workload. If you’re unsure how long things take, how often your focus shifts or how many times you get interrupted, keep a log of your working week. This will help you plan your week in future

This is nothing but noise making by ignorant people. We need 50,000 megawatts of power in Nigeria to have uninterrupted power, Lagos alone need over 10,000 mega watt which one correct power plant can produce that. Not these 47.35 MW gas turbine generator we make noise about. I work in a company were the power requirement offshore is 4050kilo watt of power, we get that from on small gas turbine in the generator room. To get 10,000 mega watt is just to increase capacity, not a rocket science.

i wonder how ppl will say eko oni baje with this noise of less than 50 MW of electricity...how many places will that supply?

Its simply impossible! How can one survive this scenerio as seen in the picture when its not a movie?

This happened to a Chinese who woman made a miraculous escape after her car was crushed by a giant container as she was driving alongside a lorry carrying the huge, orange box, which suddenly listed to one side.

The container fell off the side of the lorry, flattening the top half of the car which came to a halt on the road in China.


Firefighters were called to the scene just 1pm on Saturday, but had to wait almost twenty minutes for a crane powerful enough to life the container off of the car.

Rescuers and members of the crowd which had gathered were then astounded to hear a voice from inside the car shouting for help.

They were able to cut the car open with tools and pull the woman, who had sustained no serious injuries, to safety.

What a miracle...am speechless!

While CNN was recording a tape, Obama was standing up after the event and asking the man next to him if he had given up smoking, but the man returned the question to him.

This man must really be angry for him to have use his hand to destroy a £100,000 (N25 million) BMW M6 with a sledgehammer and axe because of his frustration with the car’s ongoing problems (as seen in the video)

The man by name Pourmohseni Hadi said he was so fed up with his BMW M6 after more than four years of problems that he staged a bizarre rage-fuelled protest by smashing up the car outside the world’s biggest motor show – the annual Frankfurt Auto Show.

Mr Hadi and friend Thomas Brunner were filmed hacking and hitting the black BMW, which he bought in 2008 with crowds gathered around to watch the dramatic incident unfold

He claims that he has had to deal with persistent problems including vibrations, rattling and shifting jolts during gear changes.

Mr Hadi, who lives in Italy, said that he had taken the car to a number of Italian BMW workshops but all of them failed to fix it.

Speaking to German newspaper Blid, he said: ‘BMW Italia and the Munich headquarters have pushed the responsibility back and forth. I have written BMW a letter – no response. Now I answer! With this action!’

A BMW spokesman has reportedly said the company would look into Mr Hadi’s case.

When spectators are not showing up to come watch match at the stadium, the Swiss outfit FC Luzern had to come up with an interesting way of trying to raise crowd numbers this season – employing strippers to entertain before kick-off.

The idea was raised by Luzern’s 68-year-old owner Bernard Alpstaeg, who wants supporters on top form before matches get underway and says he is willing to do whatever it takes, even if it includes hiring a number of scantily clad ladies to remove
their clothes and dirty dance before their fixtures.

Alpstaeg has already chosen the ladies he wants, and has now submitted the proposal to the Swiss FA to get final clearance for the act to become a regular thing.
‘We are doing well this season and we have a great team, but we want to be even more attractive,’ said Alpstaeg.

‘I want a show before kick-off. I want scantily clad strippers and sexy dancers to entertain fans before the game.
‘The stadium would be full – that’s guaranteed!’

The show would likely attract more fans, but would alienate their younger audience, with mums almost certain to stop their kids from going to cheer on the local side.

The rapper was charged Friday with attempted grand theft and misdemeanor battery related to a scuffle he had on July 19 with a paparazzo, LA city attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan said.

The incident was caught on video by TMZ and as seen in the footage West was seen walking past a bunch of photographers while staring intently at Ramos, who was trying to
engage him in conversation.

As West reached his car he lunged at Ramos with the photographer saying West threw him to the ground, causing serious injury to his hip.

Los Angeles prosecutors declined to press felony charges against West, but city authorities decided to go after him for the misdemeanors.

If convicted on both counts, West could face up to a year in jail, or a $2,000 fine.

The pictures, which have gone viral, were created using a still of her latest music video, Wrecking Ball, which sees the former Disney star writhing naked on a building site and licking a sledgehammer.

In the first 24 hours of its release on Monday, the video was viewed a staggering 19.1million times. By the time of writing it had reached over 70 million views in four days.

This is one of the most horrible things have encountered. Not only was the execution done publicly but in-front of children (you might say women are adults). The executioners were rebels that oppose the regime of Syrian President Assad and butchered human being like animals similar to Boko Haram style of killings

The public execution was the last of four that took place on August 31 in the town of Keferghan in the north of the country. The pictures forms part of a set taken by a photojournalist - whose identity has not been revealed in order to protect him - who was given unprecedented access to the gruesome proceedings.

Moments later, the executioner raises his right arm, slashes downwards and the prisoner is dead. The whole barbaric episode is watched by a crowd of jeering men, many of them armed.
And sitting on a low wall only a few feet from where the wretched captive died so violently is a line of young boys.

Among the other photos are an executioner lining up his sword before delivering the final blow as his victim kneels in the village square - and a victim's head being held aloft by a jubilant fighter.

Below is an edited account of the photographer's harrowing experience:

'The man was brought in to the square. His eyes were blindfolded. I began shooting pictures, one after the other. It was to be the fourth execution that day I would photograph. I was feeling awful; several times I had been on the verge of throwing up.

But I kept it under control because as a journalist I knew I had to document this, as I had the three previous beheadings I had photographed that day, in three other locations outside Aleppo.

The crowd began cheering. Everyone was happy. I knew that if I tried to intervene I would be taken away, and that the executions would go ahead. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to change what was happening and I might put myself in danger.

I saw a scene of utter cruelty: a human being treated in a way that no human being should ever be treated. But it seems to me that in two and a half years, the war has degraded people’s humanity. On this day the people at the execution had no control over their feelings, their desires, their anger. It was impossible to stop them.

I don’t know how old the victim was but he was young. He was forced to his knees. The rebels around him read out his crimes from a sheet of paper. They stood around him. The young man was on his knees on the ground, his hands tied. He seemed frozen.

Two rebels whispered something into his ear and the young man replied in an innocent and sad manner, but I couldn’t understand what he said because I don’t speak Arabic.

At the moment of execution the rebels grasped his throat. The young man put up a struggle. Three or four rebels pinned him down. The man tried to protect his throat with his hands, which were still tied together. He tried to resist but they were stronger than he was and they cut his throat. They raised his head into the air. People waved their guns and cheered. Everyone was happy that the execution had gone ahead.

That scene in Syria, that moment, was like a scene from the Middle Ages, the kind of thing you read about in history books. The war in Syria has reached the point where a person can be mercilessly killed in front of hundreds of people who enjoy the spectacle.

As a human being I would never have wished to see what I saw. But as a journalist I have a camera and a responsibility. I have a responsibility to share what I saw that day. That’s why I am making this statement and that’s why I took the photographs. I will close this chapter soon and try never to remember it.'
