https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6ko8j9I72g Amazing feat by a pregnant basket ball veteran woth 10-year WNBA career span and whose due date for delivery is Nov. 8! The Minnesota Lynx clinched their second WNBA championship in three years, led by several dominant performances from 31-year-old, eight-months pregnant Rebekkah Brunson - you read right. She is a 6-foot, 2-inch tall, 215-pound power forward who recently entered her third trimester, averaged 26 points and 14 rebounds in the series and was by all accounts the Lynx’s biggest threat on both ends of the floor. “Rebekkah was really the difference-maker, there’s no question about that,” said Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve, adding that Brunson’s low-post game has drastically improved since putting on 40 pounds over the past few months. “She did it all—blocking shots, snagging rebounds, and absolutely dominating in the paint. And I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player just blow through the lane like that. No one could guard her.” “When she threw her weight around down low, she was unstoppable,” Reeve continued. “Rebekkah was boxing out every other player on the court to get rebounds, and to do that against a team as good as the Dream was really something special.” Furthermore, many analysts said the highlight of the entire series came when Brunson knifed through three Dream defenders during a fierce drive to the basket, which the eight-months pregnant forward finished with an acrobatic teardrop layup. “She was just on a different level,” added Moore. “No one saw this coming at the beginning of the season when she was still suffering from morning sickness every day.” http://www.tutubranch.com/2013/10/heavily-pregnant-woman-bball.html Follow me on twitter: https://twitter.com/TutuBranch

The annual musical festival which is in its 7th Edition and dedicated to late Nigerian Afrobeat music legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti Felabration, took off last night with stellar performance from a mix of old and new artistes led by Afro-Juju music star, Sir Shina Peters and treated to an amazing night with different genres of music from traditional to the contemporary. Felabration, which started with a symposium titled: “Movement of the People: The Fela/Bob Marley Perspective” on Monday, had thousands of music lovers thronged the New Afrika Shrine in Alausa Central Business District, Ikeja, Lagos for the concert aspect of the festival. Performances were also by some rave artistes like Orezi, Rayce, Shank, Flowsick and others More pictures after the cut Olamide, who just came from United Kingdom where he had a sold out concert at the O2 Arena, was the star of the night with the YBNLgeneral, giving out hit after hit including Badoo, Durosoke, Go Down Low and his latest single, Yemi My Lover for about 30 minutes with crowd yelling for more The Africa’s numero uno DJ later took over the wheel of steel and for one hour, he thrilled the audience to a non-stop mix of old skool tunes and ended it with contemporary songs. Afro Juju music creator, SSP, rounded off the concert at around 5 a.m with his fast-paced beats. Sporting a black blazer, white shirt, white jeans and black skull cap, SSP had everyone including some Caucasians on their feet, dancing and sing along most of his hits. Meanwhile, Kymani Marley, son of reggae music legend, Bob Marley, is one of the top acts that will be performing at this year’s Felabration The high point of this year’s festival will be the 20 October performance of Femi Kuti and Kymani Marley on same stage. http://www.tutubranch.com/2013/10/in-pictures-performances-by-olamide-and.html

Hate or detest this okupe, he sure know how to do the dirty job for any of his paymaster! What a brilliant, well crafted response that befits the likes of Tinubu (I can't seem to pronounce this name any better). Who says opposition is not good? The national conference debate was being watered down by major media houses until Tinubu came from his overseas medical trip (of course with all the billions they claim to have spent on lagos hospitals, they know they only fit for human chickens to die there), and 'helped' to bring out the spark on the issue of NC thinking all yorubas and Nigerians are gullible to take his rubbish hook, line and sinker. Condemnation from anywhere and he used style to defend his stand. Let's bring it on! |
So hapi for her |

It so sad how issues of sexual harassment and abuses have permeated our societies Madonna now 55 (looks and perform on stage as if she is still in her late twenties) in a cover story essay for the November issue of Harper’s Bazaar 55 revisits an old trauma some fans may have never known; she was brutally raped at knifepoint on very first night in New York City after arriving as a scrappy unknown from Rochester, Michigan. with enormous dreams of stardom. This alone could have made so many women who had similar dreams or even greater dreams to become hateful and resentful for life! “New York wasn’t everything I thought it would be. It did not welcome me with open arms. The first year, I was held up at gunpoint. Raped on the roof of a building I was dragged up to with a knife in my back,” writes Madonna, who adds that she “had my apartment broken into three times. I don’t know why; I had nothing of value after they took my radio the first time.” As Madonna acolytes know, back in 1978, the future megastar dropped out of the University of Michigan, where she had a dance scholarship, to move to the Big Apple. Arriving in New York, she says, “wasn’t anything I prepared for,” she writes. “Trying to be a professional dancer, paying my rent by posing au naturel for art classes, staring at people staring at me without clothes on. Daring them to think of me as anything but a form they were trying to capture with their pencils and charcoal,” she continues. (Some of those drawings later made their way into Playboy magazine after Madonna became a star.) “I was defiant. Hell-bent on surviving. On making it. But it was hard and it was lonely, and I had to dare myself every day to keep going.” After several very lean years, she signed a deal with Sire Records in 1982, with her debut single, “Everybody,” coming out that October. The predecessor to Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and many others writes of her first few years of fame: “When you’re 25, it’s a little bit easier to be daring, especially if you are a pop star, because eccentric behavior is expected from you.” Ten years later — with her Sean Penn divorce, the explicit Sex book and plenty of high-profile romance behind her — the Grammy winner says she grew restless. “At 35, I was divorced and looking for love in all the wrong places. I decided that I needed to be more than a girl with gold teeth and gangster boyfriends. More than a sexual provocateur imploring girls not to go for second-best baby. I began to search for meaning and a real sense of purpose in life. I wanted to be a mother.” Now a mother of four — biological kids Lourdes and Rocco, and adopted children David and Mercy — she reveals in Harper’s Bazaar that her decision to adopt son David Banda in Malawi was “an eye opening experience” and “a real low point in my life.” I later dug on information about this legendary act from Wikipedia and this is what i got: Madonna has sold more than 300 million records worldwide and is recognized as the best-selling female recording artist of all time by Guinness World Records. Time considered her to be one of the "25 Most Powerful Women of the Past Century" for being an influential figure in contemporary music. Madonna is the best-selling female rock artist of the 20th century and the second best selling female artist in the United States, with 64.5 million certified albums. Considered by Forbes and other publications as a cultural icon,[she is often referred by the international press as the "Queen of Pop". In 2008, Billboard ranked her at number two, behind only The Beatles, on the Billboard Hot 100 All-Time Top Artists, making her the most successful solo artist in the history of the chart. She was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the same year. In 2012, she was crowned the "Greatest Woman In Music" by VH1. As of 2013, some sources report that Madonna's net worth has crossed over one billion dollars. Forbes magazine named Madonna the fifth most powerful and the highest earning celebrity of 2013 with net earnings of $125 million between June 2012–13. “One of the many things I learned from all of this,” she concludes of the ordeal. “If you aren’t willing to fight for what you believe in, then don’t even enter the ring. http://www.tutubranch.com/2013/10/madonna-recount-rape-memory.html

Most hate Nigeria for several reasons: Boko Haram Infestation, high dosage of corruption, incessant ASUU strikes, dilapidated infrastructure, unemployment, bad leadership and 'polithieve-cians' etc Would you want to go for vacation in iraq, syria, Afghanistan, Somalia, N.korea? Or would you prefer absconding to syria? NO, then why you still here: you have not yet committed suicide after all the victimisation you experienced. The smartest answer is HOPE! .keep your hope alive and help fix Nigeria. Enjoy the independence celebration. NOTE: the writer here has not seen light from PHCN for six weeks in my area and it can so annoying frustrating especially when you are a to get a good job! |
These are bloggers that make people to create impression of "jobbless bloggers" when blogging is a full time work and also very challenging! Spotted with the car doesn't mean he owns it..see the distance he was to the car as if he was afraid to go near it and even the fool will do that. As sensation only for copy and paste bloggers to make this a new...sad! |
Seriously, there needs to 'moderate' these so called MODS. When u are mods of forum like this, u leave ur personal sentiments, interests and selfishness in ur house and do the job u are employed to do! I don't know the sins of sezkills or whatever his name is (for popularity and resolve of ppl here to be this much, shows the person has really been worse!) but when mods are giving tribalistis, political affiliation expressions on forum and thread, it gives people impression of sentiments and favourtism (as if its also thoughts of oga Seun). Justified u can't satisfy every one and also, everyone is entitled to express his or her own opinions, but in forum like this, once u are 'employed' as a mod...do that job and let ur oga find another way for them expressing their opinions without making it appear in their names for neutrality sakes! Same thing is going on in celebrity section where some people are favoring posts of who they know to make FP and remove, drop and delete those whom got the authentic info before those of the 'favored'...and even publicly supporting the 'favoured' on the forum...that not fair to those who are also working hard to get the posts ahead...we need to be fair even if we are Nigerians! This forum despite my own very tight schedule is where is visit not less 50 times a day....they should kill theis gigantic dream and hardwork cos I know the sacrifice this take! |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_YPKzEW5Z0 This is not a funny scenario as it shows the contempt western powers especially US have against this Zimbabwe leader - he has been in power since like forever- as US delegates walks out in disgust during his UN speech However, President Robert Mugabe once again hit out at the West on Thursday for their imposition of ‘illegal and filthy’ sanctions, during his address to the United Nations in New York which prompted a walk out by US delegates This same scenerio has played out when former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was famous for this and his speeches at the UN largely saw delegates from the US, UK and most European countries walk out in disgust. “Shame, shame, shame to the United States of America. Shame, shame, shame to Britain and its allies,” Mugabe ranted. A political commentator Bekithemba Mhlanga told SW Radio Africa that Mugabe has lost the aura of a great orator and invincibility that helped him dominate his African rivals, emboldening an emerging crop of young presidents to shine on the world stage. “Mugabe speeches at the UN have since lost the element of surprise. His speeches have now lost the element of shock and awe. He has become so predictable that it becomes very difficult for anyone to take him serious,” Mhlanga explained. However, our dear President GEJ had his UN speech highly commendable! http://www.tutubranch.com/2013/09/us-walk-out-on-mugabe.html
