Biafran4life: You are correct in your own way too. The point is that all three four companies mentioned so far are controlled by the same individual, and that alone is a big risk. The transaction between UCAP and Heirs Insurance reportedly took place in 2020. Why are we being informed briefly about it in 2022 Q1? What are the indepth details of the transaction? who and who were involved? What are the long term implications to UCAP's top and bottom line? Why the insurance sector? who is it related to UCAP's core business? its just that Nigeria is a failed state. If not, someone should be facing SEC for this transactions Why Heir holdings? A company controlled by the same man Anyways, you know why you bought bro. Let that reason be your guide and may your trade be profitable. 4 Likes |

Wapgod: You never knew? UCAP was a subsidiary of UBA before CBN intructed banks to divest from such subsidiaries. Elumelu still owns controlling shares of UCAP |

Wapgod: Meaning Elumelu bought shares from himself for N2.5B and got 25% equity This is intra-human transaction Yet, you want investors not to be wary When your companies are always buying shares from your companies 4 Likes |

Biafran4life: You are right. If they want to do that, then they should let us know that they are changing their business structure by filing a corporate action. This is a PLC, not Loco and son's enterprises. I think you should see unaudited financial statements for what they are; Management's report card, graded by themselves and presented to the public for approval. Its just like a babe about to go out. She will Makeup for attention until bathroom audits her. 5 Likes |

Biafran4life: Biafran4life opens a business and registers as a terrorist facilitator. Now, this is his primary business and what he has told the world he is good at. Along the line, he engages in side hustle of armed robbery, kidnapping and herdsmen stuff. These are side hustle and not his primary business. Because these are side hustle and not registered as primary lines of businesses, Biafran4life is mandated to also report the income from them as a consolidated entity which means that the income from terrorism, armed robbery, kidnapping and herdsmen stuff are reported as a group while he also has to tell us how his terrorist facilitating business is faring separately. In Q1 2022, Biafran4life reports that the group income from terrorism, armed robbery, kidnapping and herdsmen stuff increased by 100% but that his income from terrorism dropped by 50%. Overall, Biafran4life has done well as a group but what about his primary business? This can mean that he has started deviating from his primary business, which is a very dangerous signal to his shareholders (who were told that he is primarily a terrorist). I hope you get the point now 2 Likes |

Heishere: Well, that is your own opinion. Everyone looks at financials differently and you cant generalize for them. Fees and commission cannot be the engine room in a Group-Subsidiary relationship sir. UCAP is a company. Heirs Insurance is not its subsidiary. Going by your explanation, I will sell my UCAP if I have any and watch for more clarity because you just justified that there is an abracadabra that has not been explained. Not surprised sha. Its Elumelu and his group of companies 4 Likes |

seyisanya: I think they are probably dumping for one or both of the reasons below; 1. They have information about the company that we do not have at the moment, or 2. They are evaluating the result deeper than we are doing here right now. If you look at the results properly, you will notice that group financials grew, while the company financials dropped. Now, thats a warning sign. The company is the engine room. The koko of the business Such a drop in the profitability of the company signals that something went wrong in Q1 but that they were able to pull income from other sources (which we need to find out), in other to boost the group's results. In other news.... This 27million units wedge @ N7.7 in UBA is looking like its going to be there for a long time (MANIPULATED STOCK) Fidelity just exhibited the quality I was talking about a few days ago about the shenanigans on NGX. How can you explain a single transaction of 40million units at above N3.3, just a few days to result release Someone obviously say the result before everyone else and traded on it. Zenith/GTCO are presenting a great entry point for interested individuals. People who rushed in because of dividend are stuck in it right now as they are sitting in a net loss position post-dividend. Before they can make a profit post div, the stock has to trade above 24.3. if you buy now, you already made 50% of the dividend. You can also wait for it to fall further and make more. By the way, I see a pattern reoccurring in UBA. I don't know where it will fall to but that stock will test supports soon. DO NO BUY IT AT CURRENT PRICE! That's a fluke. If you sort orders by price, you will see the wedge holding supporting the stock from falling. That's obviously a market maker and not a true bid. Saw same happen last year (I wonder why they don't bring new tricks every year) Once that wedge is taken off, it will fall like others. MIGHT trade as low as N6.5 or less but no guarantees. Do your due diligence and have a reason for buying. 4 Likes |

Do not buy or sell any share on NGX or any other exchange, because someone you think knows better recommended it. The true analysts are just humans like you. They look out for trends and predict based on it while others study the financial statements and economic outlook. Even more, the self acclaimed analysts do none of these. they accumulate a stock pile of posts with recommendations on all the stock in the exchange, so they can fall back on them and say "I recommended it before' later. Get out of your ignorance. Study the same trends. Study the Financial statements. Come to your conclusions. Buy that stock because you have a reason to. That's called due diligence. Even when they crowd dislikes the stock, if you see a reason to get it, buy it! When the tide turns green, your reason will justify your efforts. If the tide goes against you, always remember your reason for buying and that will help you get through the reds. Shalom 8 Likes |

Market is trading sideways now, you will never see all these fake analysts coming out to quote their previous posts. They have all muted their keyboards and are viewing the thread as guests. Even to render common account number help is now taking 2 days. Let small bull surface, they will show up and start quoting posts of 1960 with epistles longer than chapters in the bible. Funny enough, they have previous posts on ALL NGX stocks to quote about ALL the stocks in NGX (ALL NGX STOCKS ARE RECOMMEND IN THE APPROPRIATE WEATHER ). las las, una go dey alright! 3 Likes |

The Nigerian leaders always know the right thing to do in other to move the country forward, but they will never do it because they will lose the gains of the rot they are presently enjoying. Tell me why a bank will have to submit its result to CBN for vetting and approval, before its release to the public? Also, why must company results be submitted to SEC for publishing on its disclosures website? If you think the banks are flouting rules in their financial reporting, why not set up hefty fines and sanctions, and punish them when they are found guilty of manipulating results? The reason is simple! CBN wants their cut from the largesse. SEC also wants their cut too Now, a bank sends in results. CBN staff "vets" it and sees the result before everyone, and then if the result is fantastic what happens? The staff gets some for their self, informs friendly colleagues in other departments to do same, notifies their family members to do same, church or mosque members, et al. And when they get their fill, they forward same result to SEC to repeat the same process, before the result is published on the disclosures website. Effect: Huge short-term trades before and after the release of results that profits individuals who never invested in the company whereas there are people who invested their money in the companies for long term and whose value is being depreciated. How it should be: First, companies should have a direct access to the NGX disclosures website and should upload disclosures directly from their investor relations or corporate office. No other eye should see disclosures before the public apart from the directors of the company, who also should be monitored for insider trades from time to time. Finally, banks should upload their disclosures and results directly to the NGX disclosures site after audit or release. CBN should investigate and vet the results after release for discrepancies. If any discrepancy is found, then the bank should be fined heavily and the directors sanctioned appropriately. BUT... will this be implemented? Oga at the top no go gree because money go commot from him table Bad condition!!! 11 Likes 1 Share |
