Pls if you applied for an appointment with your passport bearing your maiden name. Do you need to change the name on your passport to that of your husband's after marriage for the interview? Thanks
No

Family visas collected yesterday to the glory of God. I will sign off of this thread but before I do, I will share everything I have learned from this process starting from the time we applied to the time my family got their visas. It will not be the usual interview transcripts, I believe there's enough of that already. When I have some time I will type it out and post it here.

Thank you to everyone who supported and answered our questions through this time. God bless. Cheers to a new dispensation

Thanks.
I also suspected that it’s a second interview but needed to confirm. I have been in a heated argument with the Ausländerbehöde here for the past 3 months. So they didn’t contact me again. Alas they have responded the embassy.

Meanwhile, have anyone gone for a second interview ? What as it like ?

Secondly, how long from second interview to getting your visa ?

Thanks
Second interviews are not common. They probably need some more data or something about your verification/first interview did not add up. Just hope this second one is concluded quickly

Thanks, I just want to know the reason for the email. If they require another interview from her after 11 months, then it’s just funny how they treat us.

I mean, why would I need to verify my marriage? Why these suffering ?

This wasn’t like this 5 years ago, everything was easy and smooth.
I wonder what changed suddenly?
They're only doing their job, nobody is treating you anything. If they require further information they ask for it. If they require her presence she should go.

Thank you for responding.

I didn't submit a new one. But I mailed them that I had earlier submitted one in August last year. They didn't respond to the mail though.

I just want to know if there is anyone here who made use of a courier service that was 7 months old.

The DHL told me that the envelope is obsolete and I should buy another one. But the embassy isn't saying anything. I'm confused.
Oga call them and ask.

Good morning people.

I have a situation at hand please. My interview was August, 2021. I submitted a DHL envelope with my documents same August.

Last week, I was asked to submit my passport and courier envelope. I only submitted my passport and insurance. I didn't submit another envelope because I had submitted one before. I can't track my envelope.

Please help me answer this question o. I'm so worried.

I called the DHL to help me but they said the envelope is obsolete and that I cannot use it again.

Has anyone used a courier envelope that is seven months old with the embassy before? Will they deliver my documents?

Or do I need to get another one?
If they said submit another envelope, it would have been best to just submit another envelope or call the embassy and tell them you submitted one before.

Call the embassy or email them. They will clarify if they need another one.

When the embassy says you should give a space of 10 days for traveling date, is this 10 straight days or 10 working days?
Does anyone know the answer?

Has anyone here ever filed for an appeal at the Administrative Court in Berlin before? How long does it take and what is the process like? The immigration office in my city wants to deny my wife's application because I am a student despite knowing several students whose spouses have joined them on reunion visas. Has anyone (student) experienced such before? Your general advice are really needed right now as My wife and I are emotionally and psychologically drained embarassed embarassed embarassed
I have submitted a rental contract, unlimited work contract, payslips and even a blocked account confirmation of €10,300!. My city is Bonn!
Get an immigration lawyer. That's the only advice I can give you. They specialize in these kinds of cases. Talk to one ASAP.

Thank you Sis
but my hubby haven't been called or mailed yet can he still contact the office in his state, and can i also mail the embassy here too.
People who have waited enough don't usually ask these questions lol

To answer you, your spouse should just walk in or email the auslanderbehorde in his city.

Answers still needed please
1. Ideally, yes you could. There's the fast track process.

2. Ideally, you don't, but your partner will have to sufficiently prove to the authorities that you guys are the real deal and that you're not just hitching a ride to Germany.

A. A work visa is for people who already have a job contract.
B. Read the entire thread. It's your first and best point of research.
C. Read the entire thread.

Find a job first.

Hello, Good Peope,
Thank you for your contribution to this thread so far.
As anyone recently applied for the blue card with a job offer in tech(Fullstack software engineer)? but without a University degree in Physical science?
The salary is about 70k PA. I have my first degree in Microbiology, but I'm not sure if this qualifies for a blue card application and approval.
I would really appreciate any feedback or information. Thank you
To my understanding, you'd need a bachelor degree. There's no hard rule that your degree must be in tech. Your salary is sufficient so I think it should work. That said, it's largely subjective, meaning it depends on who you ask. Different states have their own interpretation of what you need. So, find out from the embassy website what documents you'd need for a blue card and provide those documents. Nobody here could tell you what the outcome would be. Just pray they don't slap you with a long waiting time before you apply.

Has anyone traveled to Nigeria recently? What are the current COVID-19 rules for entry?
TravelRe: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by Ganesass: 11:47am On Mar 13, 2022

Thank you very much. I will do exactly that. Please what email should I write to?
Use the contact form on their website. Provide every relevant details to your case:

Passport number
File number
Date of birth
Full name

etc

Ask important questions. Don't ask them when they will send you visa approval, they probably won't respond. Tell them something like your spouse has gotten email from auslanderamt regarding approval, and that the lawyer has emailed you about verification completed, so what is the problem with your application, do they require further documentation, etc.

What was your appointment date?

Good evening people. Please I have a question.

When the foreign office sends a mail to the spouse in Germany that the application for family reunion is considered already, how many weeks will it take the consulate in Lagos to communicate the decision to the applicant in Nigeria?
In our case it took 3 weeks. I would suggest you write the embassy and keep writing them. Your spouse in Germany should also call their German line, calling the English line is useless in my opinion. I wish you all the best.

It has been over 3 weeks I sent documents to the auslanderbehorde and they replied that they have approved my family's visa. I have not heard anything from the embassy. Does anyone know how else I can get the embassy's attention or what could be wrong at this point? I call them everyday, apparently calling them does not work. What can I do?
Could someone please help with suggestions here

Please did you submit your documents online or did you have to go to the Auslanderbehörde? And did the Auslanderbehörde contact you by email or call? I live in Düren NRW, I hope my wife's own will be fast too.. Congratulations once again
I'm not sure about NRW, but I was contacted by email and I forwarded the documents by email too.

Cases are different. No two cases are the same. If your spouse has been contacted and your verification has been done, normally, the response from embassy should not take time. But my spouse has been contacted for more than 3 months and I am yet to get a response. Yet, I have seen people whose spouses were contacted in February and they have gotten visa already.

What state are you going to in Germany?
Have the lawyers completed your verification?

What are you talking about? I live in Germany and a PR holder.. Don't come here and deceive people..

Your German language must be at least on B1 level... proven by studies (if you are attending high school) in Germany or studied BSc/MSc in German language...

To study these courses in German requires minimum B2 level..

Don't say what you don't know..
You could literally Google this instead dragging nonsense.
2 people I know got PR with A2. I have a PR with no German language certificate. Difference for me is that I hold a blue card and I waited 3 years instead of 2 because I did not write B1 exams. It depends on the applicant's job situation.

I will not say anything further on this. Everyone should believe what they like.

As for the second question, Yes, you need B1 level to apply for PR in Germany
Ermm... No, you don't. It depends on the situation and type of job one has.

My advice is don’t don’t bother doing this, it’s a waste of money, either ways you will get the visa, in my case, my spouse almost did that, but the cost was just unreasonably high. Hence we skipped it.
We ended up registering our marriage in our city when I arrived without the said cost.
Like someone had said, it only changed the status from single to married and doesn’t influence or facilitate your application in any way. Sorry in my opinion I don’t see how it does.
How did you register your marriage when you arrived Germany, please?

The visa fee depends on the current exchange rate.
When i went mid December, it was 35,000. I'll advise you take 40,000 incase it changes.

Please go with the verification fee of 150,000 too.
Have you gotten feedback from the embassy after your interview?

Your story is very inspiring but I think there is something else you are not telling us. You got your citizenship in like 3 years. This amazing. Is your spouse a German or an EU citizen? If your spouse is a German citizen of course it will be easier
Why do you feel you're entitled to that piece of information?
