Let me run a quick background here, i didnt even know we'll be applying to relocate to Canada till Monday June 7 this year, we have always wanted to move to Canada but the plan has been via Express Entry. Due to age constraint, we decided we should go via school and then we had the UK option too but the plan was to leave Nigeria by December 2022 at worst case scenario. Left for me, the process would probably start around June next year lol but my wife was much into the relocation plan. The funny thing is that i am "agent" and i worked with one of the leading agencies in Nigeria even heading Abuja's branch, students are always asking, bro when you go comot Naija, you wey dey help us, you no wan comot abi..or students asking have you been to all these countries before? lol me wey be say na only Dubai i don go, for some i say yes i don go (i lied), some i tell them the truth that i'm not ready yet.
Fast forward, i applied to school and admission came 2 days after. Deposit was made and we went for upfront medicals, did IELTS and Police Character. We gathered documents and finally submitted August 30, it is pertinent to state that this application was God's grace. I told my wife we should fast and pray every Tuesday till we get approval and our prayers points were specific:
1. God should perfect all the imperfections of the our application in the eyes of the Visa Officers 2. God should not allow our application be delayed for too long. 3. God should have mercy and compassion on our application. 4. I had a dream the 2nd week after i submitted the application that i was approved, so i started praying that God should make the dream a reality and let us get approval as a family.
My church has been about having testimonies in the month of October but 2 things happened that stood out for me. 1st, when i saw Jay316 approval last week Friday Oct 15, i noticed on his timeline that he submitted a week before us, immediately, i keyed into his testimony and approval that God should please let us have our PPR this week. In church this Sunday, Oct 17 we sang raise me up and tapped into Jehovah God raising my family to Canada. Pastor also said someone in the service would testify next week, I also tapped into it as I expect our Canada visa approval this new week in Jesus name. Then this morning around 7:30, NSSPD Pastor Jerry said someone will get the email they have been expecting in 1 hour time and good news before 6pm. Lo and behold, i got 2 emails from IRCC at exactly 8:10am, without checking who sent the mail, i started saying this is IRCC, this is IRCC and when i opend my mail it was IRCC oo, thats how i started dancing and praising God before opening my portal declaring that yes the word of God have to come pass that its going to be approval and when i logged in, i went straight to the bottom and i saw the golden messages CORRESPONDENCE LETTER & ORIGINAL PASSPORT REQUEST, while checking my own, the mail for my daughter came in and 2-3 minutes later, the mail for my wife dropped too. Na baba God do am ooooo, people help me should 3 powerful Hallelujah.
As someone who has been in the study abroad industry for a while, i can boldly say that i got lotta information from this travel thread, thanks to all the gurus that share important information. I didnt do anything anything special but God is his infinite mercy gave us the approval, he made an ordinary application extra ordinary. The only thing i would say to prospective applicants is to take their time to study the thread well and be detailed in their SOP/LOE.
Who did it guys? JESUS...Oh My God...Woowwwwwwwwwwwww What God cannot do does not exist!!! This is a very big testimony. All thsnks to God. Congratulations to you and your family. |

sim2003: I have been refused three times since last year. The last one was in July this year; the visa officer sighted lack of financial status and asset as his reason for the denial. I need help seriously. Someone has suggested that I should apply for gmc note... Please get your gcms notes first before reapplying again. |

Ketima: Yes, in the IMM forms, put your UCI where required. Then for medical and biometrics, when filling the questionnaire, were they ask if you have had biometrics and medicals done at IRCC recognized clinic, click yes. In the end, u will have where to upload it. Thank you. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by ganiruogene(m): 11:07am On Oct 07, 2021 |
Anon123: Yes, you have to input the previous UCI number in one of the IMM forms, check well and you will see it. By doing that, you wont need to pay for biometrics again.
You are not to input your biometrics number cos the UCI number is encryped with every detail about you, from biometrics to final decision.
Attach the previous medical slip when submitting your application. Thank you. |

I also want to get the affidavit of support.
Can someone please recommend and tell me how much I should budget? you do not need a lawyer for these documents. You can draft them yourself, get the required people to sign then take it to the court to notarize the documents for you. you can check online for samples of both documents. |

ifeo123: The first time, I applied myself and left out a lot of things (silly me). After I got a refusal, I called Maple Education Canada (An Immigration Consulting Firm). Then I started gathering documents and submitted May 15. So I used them for my application
I got my gcms notes May 30 ( the officer noted lump sum, stated that my family & i weren’t established and stated that my bachelors was higher than the certificate program).
It’s risky to apply without checking your gcms. I only did that because I knew where I went wrong.
Also Note
I changed school and changed program within the 2 weeks of my refusal haha.
It might be different for people but I changed my school and program from Conestoga to Okanagan College & Certificate to a Diploma program.
I also put my parents 3 land documents and business documents to show they were established because I’m still young (20). I also added their employment documents and promotion letter as well as payslips.
Then explained the lump sum was from matured treasury bill using a letter of explanation.
I was involved in the whole documentation process but my consultant didn’t give me access to my page
It has ended in praise sha. Thank God Thank you for your explanation. Please I sent you a mail. Congratulations once again. |

ritzzybaron: Hello Gani! I remember that we were in the same situation too. My GCM note arrived over the weekend. Infact based on your notes, I think it’s the same VO that is both working on our applications.
These reasons are not hard to address. You need to explain all lump sums again in your account with evidence, asides from the gift deed, You need to establish your relationship with this person, provide a support letter and evidence of what this person does or evidence of their income.
and also declare why your studying in Canada is a reasonable expense. It is advisable that you have funds in your account to pay for your transport back to Naija and that you will have some money left upon your return.... And also, what you stand to gain here from studying your course and the opportunities here that are attractive. It is well Thanks for your response |

Enjay316: did you pay your 1st year school fees in full? and who paid the lump sum?was it your sponsor? No I didn’t pay the full fees. I paid only the tuition deposit of 1500CAD. I am self sponsored and the lump sum was paid in by my spouse. I used a gift deed to explain the lump sum. |
