In my considered view, sound interludes during administration are not spiritually healthy if they become a tool for emotional manipulation rather than divine encounter. When preaching depends on musical cues to stir response, it risks substituting the conviction of the Holy Spirit with sensory stimulation.
Genuine spiritual impact should come from the power of the Word and the presence of God, not atmosphere crafted by keyboards. The early church, Christ, and the apostles preached with fire, clarity, and transformation—without soundtracks.
When used sparingly and reverently, music can complement. But when overused, it dulls discernment and breeds performance-driven Christianity.

Some believe that once saved, always saved, while others argue that a believer can fall away. Hebrews 6:4-6 warns about those who “were once enlightened” but later fall away. Yet, John 10:28 says no one can snatch believers from Christ’s hand. So, is salvation permanent, or can it be lost through sin and unbelief?
The Bible also speaks of enduring in faith until the end (Matthew 24:13) and warns against backsliding (2 Peter 2:20-22). Some say these verses refer to those who were never truly saved, while others argue they prove a believer can turn away and forfeit salvation. If salvation is eternal, why do scriptures warn about falling away? But if it can be lost, does that mean salvation depends on human effort? What do you think?
balaclava: Using the threat of Death, you will Cry and Beg to make people change is not the gospel, by the way with the state of thing all over the world especially in naija, people are already dead, crying and begging, so it won't even work
The gospel is called the good news, what you have share up there is bad news, the most it can do is get you temporary fearful conversion. It is only genuine conversion last.
You useless lost soul, you shall die painfully and be cast into the pit of hell unless you repent and give your worthless life to Jesus Christ, so you’ll have a little worth. Don’t think running ur mouth will save u from the judgment to come
CountinBlessins: I said it. After looking for phones to steal at the busstop and they beat you black and blue now you are here begging and opening stupid threads on Nairaland.
Jobless thief. Better go find work 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You can use all the accounts in the world to keep quoting me, shows how troubled you really are, poor boy. Ehhya Everything i told you back then still stands, go back and read my posts to you. I still challenge you to drop your info. Number, picture, name etc let’s see where you’ll end up by the end of today.
Stop running your mouth little baby boy and drop your details, if you won’t do that then remain frustrated in life. You’re nothing and never amount to anything, f you think I’m wrong drop your details
CountinBlessins: Yes, we all wanted a different candidate during the last presidential election.
If you stop a million Nigerians and ask whom they supported, their responses would be as diverse as our individual dialects. But having said that, one candidate stood out the most, and the majority of Nigerians supported him. That candidate is Peter Obi. But alas, Nigeria happened, and he didn't win. Elections have come and gone, and here we are. Nigeria remains, while the election sponsors have all recouped their investments, irrespective of whether their candidate won. It's we, the citizens, who are left feeling the harsh economy of the country.
No matter how much Kwankwanso cries, he doesn't suffer the way you and I suffer. The same goes for Obi, Sowore, and Tinubu. All these politicians do not suffer like you and I.
What is my point? We need to help ourselves by paving our path. If we remove Tinubu today and Peter Obi enters, Tinubu will never suffer. Someone who loses elections every time is not suffering and will never suffer.
Peter Obi, who was robbed in the last elections, has never and will never suffer.
My brothers and sisters, we need to have a mentality change and start thinking more about home.
Yes, I know none of us have ever enjoyed Nigeria the way our parents enjoyed it, but this is still our home.
Let us learn to buy more Made in Nigeria goods and support our Nigerian companies. Forget that mentality that foreign is better; it's not always the case. Yes, foreign goods have great standards, but I can bet you if you look well, you will also find a Nigerian-made version that does the same thing.
Tell me one imported product that you can't find a great Nigerian version of.
Toilet Duck = Harpic Digestive Biscuits = Okin Biscuit or Carbon Foreign yogurt can't beat our farm-fresh yogurt made in Jos here.
You’re a very useless boy, why can’t you find someone to do with your life. Time wasted is lost forever
LocalFARMERS: Before a regular Police convert to Mobile Police force. There are process he/she must go through. The major obstacle is Tear Gas endurance.
This process is determined by how a regular Police is able to withstand the heavy smoke from a Tear Gas. Any Police who is unable to endure the smoke, is automatically disqualified.
sweerychick: ... Not that im defending these Chinese people, but I've been to China and I know their tradition, Chinese people are extremely discreet, they don't like sharing anything with you. That's why they live in clusters, Chinatown. You hardly see Chinese people intermingle with commoners. And they do it to everyone including Europeans not just blacks alone. I think it's an Asian thing. I believe why the restricted Nigerians there is fear of their safety, because from the report it started January this year and it was this January that dollars started skyrocketing and food stuffs increased astronomically. So they feared that Nigerians might want to loot their shops or do something sinister to them..
Your choice of word “commoners” is derogatory, if you’re a commoner not everyone else, everybody is king in their own world. More so, some ppl here in Abuja have Chinese working for them as foremen or laborers. Be guided.
Dee60: I wonder. It may be true and it may not. They need to investigate the matter before people start to jump into conclusion. This world is evil. Who recorded it? The lady wasnt acting alone.
I observed it too, the videoing was premeditated (in that it was anticipatory & timely) and for the sole aim of embarrassing the said pastor. It could be daughters of the underworld at work or it could be true, in any case, let the Will of God or justice reign.
Does anyone care if the accusation is even true? Also, where does this lady come from and what is her state of mind, I personally don’t like Redeem church not that I hate them too, but my point is that we must investigate facts and ask questions before judging. The church should carry out a thorough investigation, this is real bad market for Christianity in general.
Tohsynetita1: Think of farming, farming of tree crops majorly. If I say farming, don't think of maize and cassava o. Not your regular farming. You can do the following, castor, mushroom, sunflower, jathropha, cricket, stevia. You don't even need 100k for an hectares of castor for example, Around 30k should go for seeds for an hectares and and hectares should give you almost half of tonnes after 3 months. Half of a tonne currently is around 1million naira. All these aren't something you can just see anywhere. they are scarce and very profitable. Only those who research, read, will know how profitable those stuffs are. Also, you can learn export business, with just 50k there's something you can send overseas that you will gain like 450k. So, don't think those stuffs are money intensive. Only that most don't read, research.
Kalatium: Hey goal getters, as the year comes to an end, here are 5 things I’d advise you to do before the year runs out.
1. Reflect on Achievements: Before the year ends, take some time for introspection. Reflect on your achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement throughout the year.
2. Start Setting Goals Now: I know this may sound cliche, but the earlier you set the goals, the clearer they are. Use the facts from your evaluation to set clear goals for the coming year.
3. Strengthen Your Network: Networking is a powerful tool for career growth. Reconnect with colleagues, mentors, and industry peers. Attend networking events, join professional associations.
4. Work-Life Balance Assessment: Take a close look at your work-life balance. Assess whether your current work schedule and responsibilities align with your personal and professional priorities.
5. Financial Planning: I know we’re getting to that time of the year where we spend a lot on festivities. It is advisable to review your financial situation, spend wisely and set financial goals for the coming year.
Which of them speaks to you the most?
vicious circle, just live one day at a time and lead a good life and pray to your God everyday.
I can’t keep mute on this, I lost my brother to in a ghastly accident in September 2013, it was a very painful and difficult time for the family, the first time actually I’ve lost someone so close, the trauma that came with it though! I was the last to see him after he borrowed my laptop to use and also the first to see him at the morgue where my own blood brother lay helplessly with flies patching all over his broken/open skull.
Another twist to it was that he never liked coming back home, that was the very first time he touched down in a long time. Only God has all the answers! I pray for healing for any unhealed trauma and masked deep wound on any member of my family.
Has anyone else noticed this new trend of women begging for financial assistance at every little opportunity they get, this has been a norm but certainly this new administration has made it worse.
In just this wk alone, I’ve received over ten messages on WhatsApp from women/girls I barely know seeking for financial help with all kinds of stories. The worst is that when you don’t respond to such often funny messages in time they delete their messages.
Some of these women are ones that I just casually met randomly, one was even stranded and I helped her, we exchanged numbers and as usual I don’t save, then I moved on, surprisingly I saw her chat but instead of even appreciating the help rendered to her, she started begging, I was wondering if she was mentally sound or that she saw me as a moneycow to milk I just tire for this gender
