dalongjnr: The case of plateau state was clear and the reasons for the judgment herein was correct. You can't known more than the learned judges. Go through the certified true copy of the judgment and you will know better. I told you that Mutfwang will win his case, which came to passed. The position of the law was clear! For Nasarawa state, the case was clear and proved so well at the tribunals. The case of plateau was political as the supreme court went beyond their jurisdiction to save muftwang.by right,he should be removed.nassrawa is a formality as the apex court has already settled the 21 days issue |

dalongjnr: Nasarawa is PDP's to take. The broad daylight robbery of the people's Mandate by A.A sule, can't be allowed to stand. That's dangerous for democracy. You inflated your votes and subdued your opponent's votes. You even rigged until, the numbers of vote cast is more than the numbers of PVCs collected! That's not just a rigging but robbery. Now you are banking on a 21 days filling of case and misfiling of the case to saved your Ass*! The court is for the truth, let the truth prevailed. Sortu sir, with what happened in plateau, all governors will be returned |

nazicartel: States like Rivers, Abia , Delta didn't have any case at first. Why they went to court is what I don't even understand. I'm still confused on Plateau state, don't know how they managed to sack all PDP members and left the governor. Now, back to Nassarawa, PDP should get that state..... As far as they didn't sack plateau, they won't sack any |

Why do you think Shaibu can not convince anybody to support him against obaseki
People are tired of recycled politicians, oshomole buried ize iyamu by himself That's what I am saying.he was demarketed in 2016 and 2020 which killed his career and image.he can't recover |

TheCeasar: happy new year.. The only esan agenda I keep hearing is online based on events in ground nobody really cares about zoning now, even APC has adopted that everyone should contest their primary.
Let's say in the events ize iyamu wins the primary, how far do you think are his chances in the coming election? His chances are low based on his last performance.someone that lost his lga.see, online noise works in Edo politics as seen from Edo no be Lagos, obi winning edo.if APC must win,it has to be someone from the central |

Apc should not go and bring ize iyamu that is still talking of homeboy matter, it appears that guy is out of touch totally
Apc should first stroke this equity matter before dem go get level ground challenge asue popularity Exactly.once APC brings an esan candidate, his popularity grows |

Indispensable85: Ighodalo is not a threat at all. He can't win this election unless APC gifts it to him with their selection. The election is September, so there's more than enough time.
This election is for the APC to lose. All they need to do is simply give the ticket to a grassrooted esan man. That's all.
Okpebholo will blow Asue away in esan land, he's well loved by his people. Oshiomhole will deliver Edo north and Edo south will be shared. It's a very simple election.
If they don't give it to an esan man they'll lose. The esan agenda is beyond the esan people. It's a clamour for equity and justice which majority of Edo people across board have bought into. How popular is osunbor, onolemenmen and col imuse |

Indispensable85: It's called democracy for a reason. And for that fake list of votes by senators the surfaced online is clearly a fake news and many senators have since refuted it.
It wasn't an open ballot so how did you know who voted for who? It was a secret ballot voting. Think about it You have a point.honrstly,APC needs to hurry and unveil it's candidate to match the growing popularity of ighodalo |

Politics › Re: Supreme Court Reserves Judgment In Nasarawa Guber Legal Battle by garfield1: 11:07pm On Jan 16, 2024 |
Eriokanmi: Nasarawa in history has never voted along ethnic or religious lines. Christians had always voted Muslim leaders in the state, check it. So, your claim that Sule is from a xtian majority side doesn't hold water here. Same people voted him the first time, remember.
The issue of religion came to the fore this time simply because a christian aspirant seems to be having an upper hand, which was quite unprecedented in the history of the state. Muslims had always led them, despise being a Christian dominated state. The governor according to Nasarawa people hasn't done well. The loan obtained by almakura his predecessor couldn't be accounted for. They're not seeing what he's using the allocation for. On insecurity, they said he's done nothing to curb it. It's not an issue of religion at all. Both Christians and Muslims voted the pdp guy Oga,the election was divided along religious lines.muslim dominated lgas voted APC while Christian dominated voted pdp.the governor tried his best, the problem was the quest for a xtian indigene to rule and the division in APC.ombugadu simply benefited but he didn't win.if he won,it would have been outright like in zamfara and abia.insecurity has always been there.nasarawa isn't a Christian majority state but 50 50.if christians are more,it will be by a slim majority |

fergie001: How do Judges of the Appeal Court or Supreme Court make the call. Most times, the lead is the PJ. They usually have what they call a conference a day before the judgement where they bring the arguments for or against within themselves.
Most times, they defer to the ones they believe are the strongest with respect to this kind of issues. Some are very strong constitutionally: Ngwuta, Nweze, Odili, Kekere-Ekun, Okoro, Garba..that's why most times, you see them take the leading judgements.
Tijjani and Agim are very very strong. The new set coming in Nwosu-Iheme, first pick...Ogbuinya, 2nd pick. Strong in the sense that they will give judgements others will be afraid to make.
See, someone like you who have followed these Judges from the lower Courts can decipher when the judgement is spearheaded by them. I agree but this case is straightforward as the apex already decided it.the appeal court went ahead to destroy the overvoting aspect which I complained about and also found that the governor wasn't given fair hearing which the dissenting judge touched on.i am still pained by the apex court decision on plateau |
