And in the 14 years of the past 20 of our current democratic rule that Southerners have lead (Obasanjo/GEJ), I guess Nigeria became Eldorado?

woodcook:

I would think that Brugge's argument is in order. Just like I asked someone few minutes ago "If we keep handling the north's violent tendencies with levity at what point will the north turn around?"

I strongly believe in having this discussion no matter how uncomfortable it may seem. As long as we keep shying away from having this conversation we will keep having problem as a nation: problem in which a section of the country thinks that they are above the law, while the other half thinks it is their responsibility to bend backwards to please the other half.

I am not saying that the north's violent tendencies should be condoned, but the needless provocation and puting the lives of your breathren at risk is not a path to tow. Is chest beating or egocentric enough price to pay for the lives of millions of igbos scattered across the north and other part of the country. The sad part of this is that most of the people making this provocative statement are those that have not set foot outside the East and those outside the country in europe and asia making wrong use of the internet. If the igbos want a country of their own it is so easy to achieve without insulting anybody. They have 15 senators and over 50 members of the house of assembly, let them stage a walk out from the house and see if other nigerians won't take them serious, at town meetings they should tell every igbo man to relocate back home and start their country from the core igbo land without wanting to include people from the SS and NC, if the they run a succesful country I am sure the so called Igboid people in those zones will opt for their motherland

I have said it and I will say it again, no one should be revered. Why is Buhari being revered?
Did he find cure for HIV/AIDS or a permanent solution to malaria that is raving Africa?
On what ground should he be revered; for throwing our economic into recession twice?
You should stop promoting stupidity. I will not sit back and watch you encourage the north to ride on in their cycle of stupidity. If not today but someday this stupidity you are promoting will come back to bite you in the ass or your generation that will come after you.

The OP is a realist and you are probably far away in europe or asia spewing this fantasy. The same mistakes your parents/grandparent made in 1966 when Sardauna was mudered and they made fun of it which led to the progrom in the north is the part some Igbos are towing again and its better some sensible ones come up to condemn it. If you have been to the north and see the level of igbo population and their establishment you won't want to put their lives in danger for some silly ego trip. A word they say is enough for the wise

ztapi:

hence the call for true federalism, the need to bring power closer to the people so they can effectively hold their leaders accountable, how can 1 person steal $3M like its nothing, and if not for EFCC no one would notice, but nay, the enemies of progress aka northern power house as usual are against change because they are the ultimate benefactors of the corrupt system we practice, quota system, unitary style where they receive undue allocation from the resources of other regions based on phantom population and land mass, and what are our reps doing about it?nothing...

Must you blame the north for all your life's problems? A governor steals the money meant for his state instead you are here blaming the northern power house, if you can't hold your governor accountable now is it when you have your so called true federalism that you will? You better emanticipate your self from mental slavery and stop listening to your corrupt and incompetent local leaders who blame all the failures on northerners. Is northerners that have refused to pay teachers salary in bayelsa state? Is PEJ a northerner that chose to build a hotel and. Kept 50 million dollars in her accounts instead of using the money to build a modular refinery in her state. It high time that youths in the south realise that only they can make their region great and stop the hogwash mentality that the so called north is holding them now

So in your opinion making the helmsman of an operator in the industry the DG of the industry's regulatory body is a fair practice??

He is not currently a helmsman but once was. I made reference to that to buttress his pension industry experience to the OP who claimed he lacks experience. And as you can see from the article above, she was once a beneficiary of nepotism and should not cry when she is been served
Politics / Re: Pencom Dg’s Sack: Staff Allege Ethnic Politics, Threaten Showdown by garsul: 10:34pm On Apr 16, 2017
All those making comments for the sacked DG ought to go back to the controversies sorrounding her appointment during GEJ. She was practically forced on Pencom by the then SGF Pius Anyim, because she had served 8 years with the former board and ought to have gone with them coupled with the fact that she does not have any requiste qualifications nor experience as she was appointed as secretary to the former board straight from school out of nepotism during OBJ. You need to read the CV of the new DG to know that he is round peg in a round hole, an astute banker and pioneer MD/Chairman of premium pension

Well I have not used it for soak away before and can't advice on it for now,as the joint might not be totally seal, but the material itself will not allow water to come in between, that is why it can be used for cooler boxes. And on the issue of collapse or giving way it has been proven that after use in a road construction, it retains its shape only about 5% compression in the ground after 30 years.
Maybe what I can do is to send a mail to the manufacturers and if they have used it they should send me pictures of it, which I will upload here

Can you please show more picture of where it is used for paraphet and its cost comparison with concrete. Also do you do the fixing or only sales. Can any mason fix it

Thank you o bross. I think polystyrene is a very good material, it is a matter of time before people start using it in large quantities.

I have an ongoing job that I am the consultant and I proposed the use of the polystyrene for the slab (waffle slab) because of its light weight and cost effectiveness.

I am also working on a large scale low cost housing scheme where polystyrene will be sue for the flat roof and some interior designs at these stage we are still looking for investors to key into this initiative.

I am ready to go into detail discussion with whoever wants to use polystyrene for any type of work.

Please can you do a cost comparison for say a standard 4 bedroom bungalow paraphet using concrete and using polystyrene

It has remained a vitriol because of Nigeria's existence. The day Nigeria disintegrate, it will be an all out war amongst the various ethnic group whose elite have mentally enslaved, that their lack of development was caused by another ethnic group. What good has ruling Kogi state brought to an average Igala man, and what good will it bring to an average igbira or okun man if an incompetent tribesman rule the state. And this goes round the sorry continent of Africa,

Out of 33 citizens of a country they make us believe we are one?

It is obvious and loud as that, that Buhari's govt is a clear war against the Igbos as earlier feared.

Why wont they allow the Igbos to leave then? Why!

And who is stopping you. You can start by asking your brothers and sisters to voluntarily vacate all non igbo land and returm home. The last time I checked, the ratio of igbos to non igbos living and making their livelyhood in places outside their locality is about 8:2. You guys instead of thinking about how to put food on your table, you get carried away in the frenzy of ethnic and religious bigotry created by politicians, as if the president decides to pick an igbo man for the trip it will be u or any from your immediate or extended family if you are not one of the oppresive political class
Politics / Re: Senators’ Allowances Nine Times Higher Than Basic Pay....punch Newspaper by garsul: 9:17am On Jun 23, 2015
I think the salary and allowances of N24M per annum is fair enough as that is the average salary of a senior manager in a bank and some of the multi national companies. The main problem is the payments being made to these legislators on a quaterly basis. A senator gets credited with about N50M every three months and these payment are not defined and I doubt if it is constitutional. If we make so much noise about this salary and allowance, they can just reduce it by 50% just like some governors are hypocritically doing, but still retain the N50M quaterly payments which are not known to most nigerians

Yes he is an extremist in dealing with corrupt and morally bankrupt people and no one can erase this fact.
