tbaba1234:

Wa aleikum salam,

I wonder whether you would have Islam if the prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his companions decided to keep to themselves because of abuse. It is important that we educate ourselves and non muslims about Islam, particularly in these times. Abuse is not a sufficient reason.

The op mail is as a result of meeting with nairaland muslims and your last post in this section was in 2012. The op did not bring this out of the blue.

Dear brother, if you say so. As for me I can't stand my deen been ridiculed and my beloved prophet being spoke about with foul words, it makes my heart bleed. I stopped commenting because there is no point explaining to whom their hearts are herken and chose disbeleive neither will I want to waste my time telling an unbelievers not to judge the deen with actions of some muslims.

probsolver: The OP spoke d minds of the Muslims

Assalamu alaikum. The OP only spoke the minds of some muslims, of what use is a topic on the FP, when the thread will almost certainly be derailed by intolerant bigots casting aspersion on the deen and saying regretful things about our noble prophet (PBUH) with some muslims battling to distance islam from their threacherous lies & slanders. For me and some other brothers & sisters that I know, we would rather come to the islamic section and pick an uninfested thread for our consumption

All this whinning is about the core north/muslims because of your inferiority complex. Emanticipate yourselves from mental slavery, you don't need the north to develop your region or to organize your lives. You guys should just organise a strong protest and urge your senators/reps not to report for duty next week or better still request for the break up on the floor of the two chambers of the national assembly. You guys and the northern elites are the ones who think much of this country. The average "core northerner” who constitute 99% of the population do not give a heck about Nigeria. Your likes have tried it in Sudan, what has it brought them?

Glory be to God that neither GMB nor sheik dahiru bauchi was killed in this dastardly act else all the slowpoke saying these attacks were staged managed by GMB would have been whinning about the numbers of their folks that would have been killed in the north as a result of their death. GMB does need any symphaty from anyone rather he is the one sympathysing with Nigerians on the calamity called PDP that has befallen them since 1999

This is complete brainwash of the masses, I guess the Internet is also restricted as well.

The regime just appears so childish with some of its rhetoric.

If anyone is brainwashed it is you and the other posters above here condemning north korea on the basis of the lies being peddled by western biased media. Has anyone of you ever been to north korea and withness the so called oppression? Or you just rely on CNN and their ilks for news about a people the desperately despise. Wise up people and don't believe what the western media says hook, line and sinker

Good to know about these positive statistics. But they still remain statistics, below are some facts, there are about 5 major textile and allied industries in Kaduna namely, UNTL, Arewa textile, Finetex, supertex,KTL, they directly employ over 50,000 people, and produce over 40% of our local textile needs. These textile industries are still closed and not producing, and the same applies to the textile industries in Kano, Zamfara and Katsina. Please in the name of God almighty, where did this deceptive minister get his statistics that we are producing textile locally? The same thing applies to groundnut oil, let the minister come to our border towns and see how smugled G/oil have taken out Stallion Group who are the major importers of G/oil and are selling at price drastically below them. Please let not come speak grammer about our economy, it is our prayers that things turn around for the better during this administration, but it has to be through sincerity and purposeful goverment not psychopancy and propaganda. Magnus Kpakpol readily comes to mind when I read of this kind of statistics, remember the guy said poverty is no longer a problem in Nigeria when he was head of NAPEP

It is this same Nigerian Police that stired the honet's nest and gave extremist a ground for starting the boko haram insurgency that have now spiralled out of control. they attacked and killed members of the relatively unknown group and therafter killed their leaders who were handed over to them by the soldiers and stupidly video the barbaric scene, the aftermath of that is the security threat we are facing daily

For every public office where a northerner/ Muslim is the head, the deputy is always a southerner/ Christian, and they both have been corrupt and incompetent. Each bloody southern/ Christian state has it monthly allocation, how does northerners stop them from developing

Islam for Muslims / Re: To Fast On The 9th And 10th Of Muharram(23rd And 24th Nov.2012) by garsul: 4:06pm On Nov 23, 2012
comments by non-Muslims on Nairaland is a good gauge of religious intolerance in Nigeria, non Muslims stick their fingers into the mouth of Muslims minding their own business, and when they get bitten they say Muslims are violent. for 90% of religious crises happening in our dear country, Muslims are always poked, and when those with short fuse amongst Muslims react, the whole religion is on trial, not minding the fact that some non Muslims poked them.
i commend the moderator for their good work at keeping those bigots at bay. May Allah SWT make it easy for us to do the fasting of the 10th of Muharram and increase us in patience.

L & G, please let's not view this crises from Muslim/christian perspective, but as rational human beings. how would you like this scenario. because of the problems that Fulani people are having in Plateau state and other parts of Nigeria, the Nigerian state decides based on some book written by othman danfodio that a grassland in Anambra State or Obudu Cattle ranch belonged to the fulanis and were expelled some 200yrs ago, therefore, using the might of the Nigerian Army and the support of some world powers, a homeland is created for Fulanis in Obudu or in the grassland in Anambra, and all natives Ibos or Calabar people of that place expelled to make room for the fulanis. thereafter, the fulanis starts stealing lands even beyond what the Nigerian state had stolen from the natives and given to them. do the Ibos or Calabar have a right through whatever means to defend themselves and take back their homeland. please sincerely ask your conscience

pro01: I love and support Israel unconditionally and irrevocably. Theirs is a just cause, and I'll always be a fan and practitioner of their brand of righteous vengeance. You don't hit someone first and expect him to smile back at you or cry to papa. These Islamic maggots in the Arab world are determined to wipe Israel off the map. Thankfully, Israel is more than capable of putting them in their place and defending itself. The fact that Israel has managed to survive with minimal damage in the middle of such a hostile environment speaks volumes about the country's capability and divine blessing.

I endorse the termination of that Hamas terrorist. Hopefully, more of those pests would be terminated in similar manner. If the likes of Egypt, Iran, Syria, and other hostile Arab dogs want to intervene, no problem. . . the embarrassing Six Day War would repeat itself. Israel is more than capable of taking them all on alone simultaneously, even without help from the U.S.

God bless Israel.

Politics / Re: Condemn Boko-Haram, Clark Dares IBB, Buhari by garsul: 2:50pm On Aug 02, 2012
Beaf: Any core-Northern leader that finds it difficult to condemn boko haram is either a covert supporter or member.
Buhari and IBB especially.

Those who want GEJ to solve the problem (while the leaders of the affected areas are in active connivance) surely have screws in their head loose.
So far boko haram is supported by the people in the affected areas, it will remain a scourge that takes their lives. You do not hide an armed robber under your bed and hope they will not rob you, murder the missus and rap'e the kids.

Let the core-Northern leaders keep burying their heads in the sand, while their homelands are being reduced to primitive mounds of dirt by boko haram. Let them wait and cheer boko haram on, the rest of the country will progress until very soon, the developmental gap would be like that between Japan and Somalia.

When it was the Niger Delta militants threatening our oil supply, GEJ risked his life by going deep into the creeks, he went to camp 5 to hammer out a way forward from which we are all benefiting today as amnesty. We all know that without the Niger Delta, there would be no Nigeria.

i want to believe the GEJ went into the creek because he was the VP. Buhari lost the election because he was not "popular", so let GEJ or his VP who have the popular mandate condemn and solve this problem, just the way Yardadua & GEJ solved the ND problem. QED

really, most nairaland poster are just stark unbelievable, because some one makes the list of of times 100 most inflential does not make him a performing person. Osama Bin Laden have made this list severally and was even nominated as times man of the year, what good did that add to the world, you can be among the times world 100 influential reason for all the wrong reason and i guess that was why GEJ made the list. but that is not to say that we should all hate our President, because his continous failures affects us more than it affects him, his family and cronies, therefore we should all pray and work hard in our little ways to move & project our country positively

when you read post like this, it makes me believe that most southerners went to school and yet are the most illeterate people. you have all cried your eyes out that Northerners have ruined Nigeria by their misrule, can any one explain to me how the so called northerners have achieved this? for all the time that a northerner has been president or head of state, a southerner has always been his deputy and every state/tribe in nigeria is always represented in the government as minister, dont you guys think those members of the cabinet should be blamed for the failure of that government.

the average northerner who are 99% of the population of northerners have benefitted the least from the Nigerian nation and such will not miss the nation if it break up, can you say that for the millions of southerners that are making billions of naira in white collar jobs and businesses up north?

Please what we need is a SBC- sovereign breakup conference!

The southerners should go form their country and their teeming population up north should pack their things and head south wards along with all their vices that have so spoilt the name of Nigeria among committy of nations, vices like 419, prostitution in foreign land, washing of plates and dead bodies in foreign countries, armed robbery, credit card fraud, kidnapping etc etc.

Please southerners secede and let us have peace, the oil revenue has always been a curse on the common man, so pls go with it
Politics / Re: Sovereign National Conference: North Set For Showdown by garsul: 6:36pm On Mar 08, 2012
Please what is the need for this SNC. We all have agreed what the problem is - the northern Muslim! Therefore the southerners and northern Christians should just hold a confrence and secede, or present a memo to the UN that they want their invitation to come and serve as an umpire.

I was very glad when when I sampled opinion and quite a overwhelming mass of northern Muslims have expressed their desire & joy for this breakup, at least we can have our poor country and live our lives our own way.

But the irony of this call for breakup lies with southerners who are living in the north who still have an illusion that they would be allowed to stay back up north, after the breakup.

So much hue about oil, a lot of countries have grown whitout any natural resource
Politics / Re: Jos Church Co-bomber A Church Member by garsul: 4:28pm On Feb 28, 2012
I want to believe that all those bigots that said the guy should rot in hell thinking he was a Muslim will now eat their words.

How are we sure that the guy was not actually with the bomber as was first reported, at least members of the same COCIN attempted to bomb their church in bauchi. If that pastor that was killed in kaduna had been a Muslim and was a permanent secretary or even the deputy governor, some bigots would have sworn that he was a terrorist and deserved to die.

The earlier we look at this security challenge we are facing as what it is and get our government to wake up to their responsibility of protecting lives and property, the better for all of us
Politics / Re: Muslims Defend Your Religion. by garsul: 11:55am On Jan 21, 2012
Why should Muslim defend their religion because of the activities of some outlaws? Any attempt to distance Muslims from BH will only further ridicule the religion, Muslims have suffered more fatality from this group and yet bigots like the @op will find it difficult to see this as the activity of a criminal gang.
Many a Muslim countries have suffered from activities this like gangs and what the government do there is to go after them and deal decisively with them, that is what should be done here too if we had a competent government. And who says Islam is a religion of "peace", there can be no peace without justice, thus Islam Muslims seeks justice for both Muslim and non Muslim alike. The government should met justice to these criminals and leave Muslims out of this so that we can all have peace
Politics / Re: English Translation Of The Boko Haram Leaflet Been Circulated In Kano by garsul: 11:31am On Jan 21, 2012
It is very annoying when Muslims come to this forum to defend Islam or keep preaching that Islam is a religion of peace to a people who already have bigoted mindset. Islam is a religion of justice and not necessarily peace. If northern Muslims were that bad, why is the north filled with southerners making a living from there? I think any call for Nigeria's breakup is hypocritical and cowardry. Did the northerners invite any body to the north? They all went out of their free will and are also free to move back to the south if they feel the north is no longer habitable for them and save us from this daily threat of leaving.
But am sure the ordinary ibo trader or yoruba artisan in the north knows better

Business / Re: An Open Informal Letter To Beaf On Fuel Subsidy by garsul: 5:01pm On Oct 11, 2011
much said about deregulation/removal of subsidy, how has this made kerosene and diesel available and affordable to on average nigerian? if government is to remove subsidy then we dont have need for government in nigeria anymore because the only benefit we get from government is cheap fuel as they cannot provide security, healthcare, education, good roads etc. and for those that argue that subsidy goes to the pocket of only a few, how can that be, when with subsidy every nigerian is able to buy fuel at N65, while without it we will by at N200, so is the difference not going into the pockets of every petrol buyer?
