hello Oga gazzuz. I need advise on a car issue and maybe you could help me with it. I bought a Tokunbo grade Honda pilot 07, but I observed it came with a single cell radiator and it's thermostat is still connected. It does not overheat or anything. But people keep suggesting thermostats should be removed and that single cell radiators aren't good for our climate. What do you suggest sir. I am a regular traveller and I don't want to experience issues while travelling. If you suggest I upgrade and remove the thermostat. What's the bill for doing that for me

Good morning GAZZUZZ.

Some 4weeks ago I was inclined to raise my shocks on the front tires of my FWD Accord 8th gen because the ground clearance was low and potholes and bumps were showing my bumper shege.

Some 2weeks later I started hearing and feeling (on my foot) sharp knocking noises in the front driver side wheel, when I enter potholes and speed bumps. And at occasions I also heard it at the front passenger side.

I took it to my local mechanic at Ladipo, who diagnosed some torn bushings in the engine seater and shocks and wheels Connection to the car chasis. I had all those changes as well as my brake pads to make me enter bumps with less speed. After that riding even on bad roads was smoother than it has ever been.

Fast forward to today.
I started hearing and feeling soft knocking noises in the front driver side but this time not only when I enter potholes and bumps but when I'm turning. I inspected the tire area. And saw that the sand protector had a flap sticking out that is probably touching the tire. I pushed it back in to give more clearance but symptoms persist. I drove home with half mind yesterday.

Even if I don't hear the soft knocks I can feel it.
But I don't notice anything when speeding on a smooth road.

I'd like to hear your thoughts or recommendations before having it checked again. I don't want to have to strangle a mechanic to do good work.

Do note that the car didn't have any such issue when I purchased it, and in early August I changed the CV joint and steering rack as it had worn off and was leaking grease.

I got a Toyota Matrix 2005 last year November, Which I have not serviced due to very minimal usage. I started driving it two months ago.

Kindly recommend good engine oil brand, as I plan to do the first servicing this week.

Good afternoon GAZZUZZ, kingreign, autologic, and other car gurus,
I have a Toyota Corolla 2010.
I bought an ELM337 OBDII and used it to scan the car using the Torque pro app on my phone and the following error codes (P0106 and P0700) popped up.
I then proceeded to clear the error codes because I read on the internet that it is better to clear error codes first and drive around for a while to see If the error codes return before you take your car for maintenance.

Do you guys think it is a good idea for me to clear the error codes first?

If your vehicle has a P1887 DTC, it means that the switch that lets the ECU know the TCC clutch/torque converter clutch is no longer engaged, is not responding properly. If this happens, the engine and transmission will not function properly together. Which means performance could suffer and safety could be affected.
I suggest you Change your speed sensor.

What about the motor oil, can one use 5W-20 for Honda 2012 as the manual specify OW-20.

I just got a toyota corrola 2010.
Everything was fine and d engine was sounding well.
After purchase, since i intend to go long journey with it, i took it for servicing. Oil filter and engine oil was changed, since dt day, i started hearing a knocking sound like on my engine. Could oil cause such noise? I hve it recorded bt i dont how to send it here. The sounds is worrysome nd get worst everyday... The mechanic was saying after d oil circulates it will stop but here we are, every cold start, it start and continue. This tin started from my hand and dats why i want to see what i can do to clear it.

But day before yesterday my friend ask for my battery to start his car
I gave him the battery and he use it to start his car
And since then when I fix the battery back and start my car I noticed my car vibrates a lot
From the steering to the seats when it’s moving or not
Pls car guru what should I do

oga GAZZUZZ pls i need help with my car brain box, my car wouldn't start and after several troubleshooting by my Rewire it was discovered that my car brain box is gone & needs replacement.
I have tried several brain box but won't work, some will make the engine rev up without even pressing the Throttler pedal, one won't even start the car at all.
