Good morning everyone, I recently got a leaked tank in my Ford Focus so I took the car to a mechanic. The mechanic dropped the tank while a welder closed the hole. After everything, I realized the welder had caused the anti-siphon device to melt since it's made of a plastic material. He couldn't remove it before the work.

So right now, I'm not using the device again. But the problem now is that my dashboard is showing the Check Engine Light which came after the repairs. I think this is as a result of the anti-siphon that was removed because the light wasn't there before the repairs.

Now, my question is, apart from the anti-siphon stopping people from taking fuel from my tank, is there something else that it does that may be triggering the engine warning light?

BTW, I've been driving the car with the light for days now and I don't really know how it may impact it in the near future.

Please can I top up Oil of my Camry 2005 with Hard ex Gold SAE 5W-30 (fully synthetic) before making a complete Oil change which is will be in 3rd week of July. The initial oil that was used (in
month of may) that gets burnt easily is Mobil 5w-20.

Good morning all, i want to change my car and I saw a 6 months used Honda CRV 2004 model online going for #1.250m, according to the owner, he said the car was sent to him from Canada by the Aunty who happens to be the only user. The mileage is - 319,712.
My concern is the high mileage and also the price considering the mileage stated above.
Please, I need your honest opinions on what to do.

Please oga Gazzuz. I use 2008 Toyota Rav4 with 2AZ-FE. Lately I found out the car is not responding accordingly with acceleration. It lags. They accused the plugs but after changing no solution so also the fuel pump. Sometimes it is so low that I hear some sound under in the front. Please help a brother

The code cleared away after erasing it though.

Camry 10, just 2wks in the country, last wk I was stuck in traffic for 3hrs (longest hr driven yet) and I observed d temp rose close to d max, after switching off a/c temp went to half way mark.
It still has thermostat, bt mechanic says I shd remove it, he says fans are fine. Do I go ahead?
