Very true. He comes off as arrogant and proud. My interaction with him went south rather quickly too.
I think that the OP is more pained by his arrogance rather than the fact that he had a bad engine.
Gazzuz you need to chill out and show more regards for people.

OP I and alot of persons really wanted to find reasons to fault Gazzuz and barber his overgrown hair but unfortunately you have not made any prima facie case against the proud man this time

Wow!!! Read from 1 to 13. Read the other thread also created by the accused from 1 to the end. In as much as I despise this my friend GAZZUZZ, I know he wouldn't intentionally sell a faulty engine to his client. From the back and forth chats, relationship looks broken and beyond repair. Losses has been made. Reputation has been destroyed. Each should kindly move along. Those fanning the flames of war should desist. Life is too short for unnecessary drama.

1. I entered into a contract to replace the engine, fluids and radiator for Baba40

2. The vehicle was recently purchased by baba40 prior to meeting me and was massively abused.

3. A Foreign used engine was procured and installed with a 3month warranty or 3000km which ever comes first.

4. I did not receive any complaints from Baba40 until after the expirations of his warranty.

5. The procured engine in the market where it was sourced comes with a 1 week warranty and not a money back guarantee. (They will fix and not replace in the event of failure).

6. As a responsible entity we stick our necks out for our clients because we stand by what we sell.
We give long warranties so in the case of failure the client is covered.

7. I was contacted on the 4th month and after over 3,340km that engine installed on baba40's vehicle suffered oil burn.

8. As a responsible entity I offered him a window of full refund for expense made on engine procurement and installation . The window was 24hrs.

9. Baba40 Did not respond to my offer, but rather insulted me further.

10. 3weeks after the offer elapsed he opened the thread above.




I have sold and installed hundreds of engines to nairalanders on this platform. Over 99per of the time it turns out well without issues. There are times it does not. This is possibly one of those cases.

In the past i have fully refunded aggrived clients for all funds expended as written in the invoice (fluids, labour , logistics, and parts) and also installed their old parts back, I can call out 2 nairalanders that have received this gesture this year. Business is not all about money but about having a good name and brand.

I didn't open thread for the car dealer that duped me cos he duped me with humility and never insulted me on my money. What he sold was overcharged but he didn't address me with arrogance and insult. We are still friends just that I can't patronize him again.

The car isn't bad beyond what MONEY can do, God has never shamed us. HIS Providence is SURE.

GAZZUZZ on the contrary, duped me with arrogance, rudeness and insult. He betrayed my trust even when my neighbor was cautioning me.

You mailed them within the warranty period and they agreed to replace/refund.

Let's say for some reason, maybe you were sick or something and come after the warranty period with a proof that LG has already agreed to refund/replace, of course they will honour their agreement.

The social media thing is mere banter. He's here because he's tried all possible means to resolve. Don't let your customers get to this point. It does more damage to you as a brand. There's a reason big firms settle out of court.

There are questions that have come to the fore that needs addressing.
The warranty in the receipt signed by you specifically stated that the warranty period was 3months or 3000 miles whichever comes first.
When did you notice the oil shortage. Was it within this warranty period?
If yes. It means that the engine was faulty.Did you complain to Gazzuz? What was his response? Did you take the car to his workshop?

You complained about the car refusing to start one time and that you gave some other mechanic to fix it. 2 issues you said.

Was it after the oil shortage or after?

Is it true that it was on the 29th of November that you compained to Gazzuz on whatapp? 4months after the engine was installed?
He offered to refund the money for the engine within 24hours. Did you negotiate this timeline especially as other things had to be in place even after the refund?

What is the current state of the engine now?

LG has agreed to refund you on paper. So they owe you that obligation. I know it's too much for your brain to handle

If you reported to LG after few months that the TV is bad and LG agreed to a refund and you have evidence, and for some reason you weren't able to come within the the warranty period, for the mere fact that LG has certified your claims and has agreed evidence for a refund means you are still entitled to it.

OP has refused offer.
I have asked OP to state what more he wants after full refund for engine.
That should help drive this matter to a resolution (between him and Gazzuzz).

Phone calls can actually be a trap . Written agreements, messages and saved chats can save you a lot of trouble.

The date on the invoice does not equate the date the engine was fixed and certified Woking( even though I have a huge doubt on your certification process). What date was the engine installed and given a clean bill of health? Because I'm assuming he paid you before you bought the engine.
