Hello experts in the house. Pls help clarify this for me. If a car's recommended engine oil is 5W30, if this car gets to Nigeria where there is no winter and I instead use 20W50, will this in any way affect the engine efficiency? I understand that the '5' in 5W is the oil viscosity at 0°celsius and the temperature here never drop that low. So why use the oil that was recommended in North America? Pls help me understand.

Hello Peeps..does anyone experience either of these two issues on corolla 06...sometimes if I hit the brakes hard it starts vibrating under my leg like a spring of sorts then secondly if maybe I am approaching a pothole and I have previously hit the brake once I enter the pothole or bump the brakes seems to fail unless I lift my leg and press it again..what could be the issue..our super techs please assist

Gazzuzz let me start by saying thank you very much for answering all my questions. I just changed the engine of my car and while servicing the gear we notice that some pins connecting the transmission control unit to the gearbox were broken so i bought anoda tcu but my mechanic said i wld have to program it if not the gear wnt work.plz is dis true

Greetings gazzuzz, plz what's the circled component called, it's a coupling between the hose from the radiator and that of the hose leading to the engine.
I discovered drops of coolant leaking from the component and would like to get a replacement part but I can't seem to figure out the name.

even me I don't know the name and I have bought it over 20times, I just call it plastic water channel with small prick

I just got a lexus RX 300 for a customer and changed the transmission fluid with type t4. the issue is the gear changes fine, but after a while it won't engage the final gear. not until I stop and turn off the ignition for a few minutes the car will drive fine but at any stop while engine is still running the vehicle will engage gears smoothly but won't reach the last gear. I checked the transmission oil it was fine no burning smell. but I discovered that on the dip stick when the engine is cold the transmission oil was way above the cold and hot mark on the dipstick. what do you suggest I should do?.

I honesty do not understand what the mechanic meant when he said it's a v8 engined tweaked to use 4 plugs. Apologies for the pictures, I'm not home at the moment sent an amateur to take the pix

If it was done properly, what you have in that engine bay is a die hard engine.

Mr Gazzuz, please see the cable leading to the ckp sensor attached. Could it be the cause of the ckp dtc? If yes, can I get a replacement? Car is accord 2008
