Hello Gazzuzz,
please i need your help. I just made a stupid purchase! i got a camry 07 automatic with a truck load of issues, the car jerks when i put the transmission on D. we ran a diagnosis, and it showed like 12 results inclusing 02 sensor, knock sensor, low transmission fluid etc, but it wont speed up, and wont go beyond gear 3 or so. a mechanic said it needs an additional ECU (brainbox) that the brain box on the car is working well with the engine but not with the gearbox. can you advice, and also help me with your phone number please.

Hello Oga Gazzuzz. Is Avensis (04 -08) an easy, cheap car to maintain? How does it compare to corolla maintenance?

I am looking to buy my first car and budget is 900k. I'm considering a Yaris 07 (manual) and Avensis (04 - 08 auto?. Modern look and ease of maintenance are my priority. Other suggestions are welcome.

Please Gazzuzz help! I have a 2003 Honda Accord EOD. The car drives great. The only problem is that the gear oil keeps leaking seriously. My mecho said I need to change it and he quoted 80k to me.
I have a long journey (Abuja to Lagos) to make with it in few days time. I want the car in top shape. I am scared of changing the gear so it does not affect the engine too as the engine is very sharp.
Please advise me on this issue and give me maintenance/ service tips for this journey I hope to make soon.

Good evening Luvinghubby and other gurus in the house. I have replaced my gear 2 weeks ago with a very functional auto transmission but there's something baffling me again since 2 days now. I wanted to travel from Ibadan to Lagos, I've not done 20 kilometers when the gear started acting up again. The car didn't respond to the accelerator. It was acting somehow. It couldn't move fast and it started overheating. I had to stop at intervals to pour water in the radiator and wait till it cools down. In short, d mechanic told me d ffg are the issues he feels my car is going through :
1. He said I need to flush the radiator as the car has been parked for 4 years plus.
2. He said there's no oil in the transmission again (the oil I just poured when the gear was being fixed 2 weeks ago and he said there's no leakage). I bought 6 oando 2 oil.

What could be the cause ? I don't want to be buying oil every 2 weeks.

I have a honda baby boy '01 version but i want to upgrade to an suv with a good ground clearance,and still a little stylish. compact, '02 and above, good fuel economy cause of traffic in lagos, cheap and easy maintenance, speed, the usuals.

What car do you advice Pls? I have a thing for toyota btw.

@diportivo. No tyre wasn't depleted.
1st pic showing CEL ON was showing the car at idle speed, with the problem.
You can see that from the Rpm reading.
Codes related to the PRI/sec ignition coil, and oxygen sensor was already recorded in the ECU.

2nd pic. Showed the car driven after the job was completed. The CEL ON you complained about, was related to the oxygen sensor, and not the misfire that was experienced.
TPMS was as a result of the rear RHS tire being under pressurised.

@honmusa. I think this is also MORE challenging. If you're a technically inclined person, I bet, this might be less challenging to you. But to some folks here, its cool.

If you have some suggested topics,.or problems you're currently facing, I'd be glad to face such a challenge here on this platform, or physically, at the shop.
I don't just write stuffs here, I practically do the job.
I'd be glad if you point out some procedural flaws here. I'd react to them immediately.

I used a bicycle/motor cycle steel brake/clutch cable i bought for about N100. It goes further than long screwdriver and flexible for bends. My case even soaked the ECU.

but I am not advising him to continue that way because I don’t trust those people.
