Hello Honda gurus in the house, i need your urgent help. I have a honda accord 1996 (a.k.a Honda Bulldog). I'm having issues with the car. First is that the idle run is very high, 1500 - 2000RPM. I took it to the mechanic, they services the throttle body and IACV and FITV but the problem continued. Another mechanic now used foam to block the two port holes inside the throttle body and the problem of high idle run stopped. It runs now at about 800-1000RPM. Another issue started, the car just stalls intermittently mostly when you want to move the car, like if you start it starts normally, idles normally, but once you engage the gear to drive and press the throttle pedal, the car will stall with the dashboard lights on. If you start it right after it starts normally. This happens randomly that i cannot predict when it will happen. If somehow i manage to make it not to stall when it want to by quickly depressing the gas pedal hard it will move but at any point, i brake that the car will come to a stop, if i want to move again as in press the gas pedal the engine will go off. As a result at times the car goes off on the road.

I have gone to several mechanics and car electricians yet the issue has persisted. Sometimes if i go to the mechanic the problem will not occur and i will not be able to simulate it.

In the process of trying to resolve the problem, i have replaced the following: fuel pump, distributor, fuel pump relay, plugs, throttle body.

I will appreciate any help to resolve this problem.

I am currently experiencing a challenge with a Hyundai Tucson, 2006 model.

Once the headlights of the car is on, the gear simply does not engage.
To elaborate a bit...

Say am driving home at night, and I have the headlights on. Now I stop briefly to pick up an item
I just have to put the gear in Park (P) without turning off the engine.
Now when am done, one would normally expect that I shld switch to D and drive off,
but if I switch the gear to D, the indicator on the dash board remains on P yet the gear lever is on D.
Same thing if I switch to any other position be it R, or N - nothing happens. The gear does not engage
and the car does not move, but revs.

If I switch off the headlights, the gear immediately engages - goes into D or R or whatever I put it in.

So the problem occurs only when the headlights are on, when they are off, the gear works selects perfectly.

BTW I have not visited any mechanic, nor have I done any repair works recently, it just started suddenly 2 days back.

I would appreciate you expert opinions and input, because I really cant understand what the headlights have got to do with the transmission.

oga GAZZUZZ pls my engine began to make some sound whenever i rev d car nd wen i took it to a mechanic he said d engine needs to b changed completely nd we checked d engine oil nd it has dried up.i bought anoda engine oil nd put in d car,thus d sound became abit beta but still makes noise as i rev.buh i noticed after about 4days again dat d engine oil has dried up...pls wat could b d possible problem or solution. if buying engine wuld b d nxt tin i wuld like to no d price in lagos...d car is a mazda 323....tanks

My compressor pulley makes a rattling noise when ac is on and when I rev the engine..the ac chills super cold and I don't intend to take the advise of technicians who wants me to change the compressor especially to a manual alternative which they claim is better than the auto which I feel is wrong. This also means we changing the condenser and dryer..that is money I don't even have and I have watched countless vjdeos on YouTube showing this can even be a DIY thing with the right tools. Do we have anyone that can change the pulley in Abuja?

No sir. I have never welded the power steering pressure hose.

I have never had any issue with the power steering.

I went to do alignment and wheel balancing and the guy observed that I need to change my ATF.

So I gave him the go-ahead.

As part for changing the oil, he emptied the power steering reservoir and drove the car for a short distance.

That's when the issue started

Let me also add that the ATF seems to be leaking because I have started observing oil drops where I pack the car.

Like I said earlier, the Steering works well when I commence driving, the stiffness starts after driving for like hours or more.

Recently, I opened the engine compartment while the engine was running and observed a faint smoke coming from the steering pump.

One Kazzem working on the car drove it for 50 metres(within his workshop without Oil in the Steering Oil reserve can)

After that time, I observe that my steering wheel operates normal whenever I start driving but steering becomes stiff and hard to operate after driving for like 2 hours.

What do I need the change to solve the hardness of the steering wheel? the steering pump or the steering rack?

A ceremony is happening this weekend and I am planning on giving out my car to a neighbour to travel from Lagos to ondo state.
however my neighbour does not have a valid driver licence.
he showed me a learners permit issued by FRSC.
can he drive from Lagos to ondo without any problem with the learners permit issued to him.

I packed my vehicle at the end of the day without any issue and the alternator belt was removed for change. After the belt change, it refuse to start after cranking to the extent of running down the battery. Scanning was done on the vehicle because check engine light illuminate, but no code was reported by scanner and even after clearing code from scanner, the check engine was still on. My finding on the matter is that ECU was suspected to be bad, please help to suggest what could be the problem because am preparing to buy another ECU. Vehicle is Nissan primera 2000 model with 1.8L engine.

A hacker who was allegedly paid 600K, has been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Abeokuta, Ogun State, for allegedly erecting a radio mast with the aim of hacking the virtual Private network of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board.

He was arrested alongside the proprietor of Bright Technologies, an IT company, whose name was not given. The hacker’s wife and other accomplices were also arrested by the NSCDC team from Abuja. Two suspects were said to be on the run, the Punch reports.
One of the suspects, identified only as Tosin, allegedly confessed that the deal they were contracted for was to extend the JAMB network, from an
accredited Computer Based Test centre in Abeokuta to some cyber cafe operators in the area where candidates can be registered illegally for the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.


The corps claimed that during the interrogation, the proprietor also confessed that he created over 400 User Names and passwords.

“We are using unlicensed spectrum to transmit to our customers using 2.4 gigabyte and 5.8 gigabyte radio. On March 28, they came from Kindle e-Learning Service that they wanted Internet services and after three days, they came again, (Tosin, Segun and Jide) that they wanted us to configure VPN for them.
