hermesprogidy:Thanks oga mi. I have to say I considered jacking it in many times because of the extremely personalised insults hurled at me but I decided to carry on till the election. I am now glad I did. |
raumdeuter:Another nigga who 'held it down' properly in criticising the misrule of GEJ. I think he left around when Pukkah, eGuerilla et al departed. |
coogar:Indeed. It does not even bother me the slightest bit. I just view it as hyperactive kids acting up. One had to have very tough skin to be and remain a GMB supporter on this forum. |
raumdeuter:Oga me well done ojare. As for the bans, na occupational hazard for us outspoken fans of GMB/APC on Nairaland. No shaking. In the end, we dey laff in OBJ voice ![]() |
suwailad:Indeed. There are some things I expect to see very soon after May 29th. Team Buhari/Osinbajo must hit the ground running because they are not receiving a healthy Nigeria. |
Charlotte15:We did. All the vile insults thrown at us Buhari supporters has been worth it. It won't be easy sha because Buhari gains control at a very difficult time but I think he can succeed and move Nigeria forward with a good team. |
nwaanambra1:Boss let me personally congratulate you too. You played your part. Anyone who supported Buhari and played their part, one way or the other, to get the General over the finish line is now part of history. |
Obiagelli:And you too dear lady. Well done madam. If things begin to go well shortly for Nigeria you can hold your head high and and say "I played my part". |
coogar:Yeah. Desola played her part too. She is here and I expect her to show sooner or later. I think I saw her viewing an election thread earlier today. |
MzJackBaueress:Orijin ke? I am bringing you some very nice gifts . Gba be Mama re re !!!!! |
coogar:Frankly, I really don't care. I am out of here soon anyway. The day I decided I had had enough of Nairaland, but decided to hang on till after the elections, was when a MOD banned me and Pendy for "insulting others" whereas the ethnocentric poster who came on the thread to hurl insult at us was never banned or sanctioned !!! Some of these people take their e-life so seriously but I was always only ever interested in Nigeria gaining good leadership so I always ignored their provocative actions and bans and generally did not see the point of making a fuss. Anyone , whether poster or moderator, who has a fulfilled life will not come online to be playing "Rambo". Anyway 'goodluck' to these people ![]() |
coogar:Probably too much 'harrassment'. They were 'jailing' many of us vocal and passionate GMB supporters mercilessly recently. My other only moniker has been banned till next year effectively rendering it 'retired'. I just got off a ban with my main Gbawe user ID. I wonder if we wll see all the Nairalanders who were ultra-passionate about the removal of GEJ but left Nairaland for good. They probably never believed this day would come. The likes of Kilode, Koruji, Dayo Kanu, Pukkah, Eguerilla, Katsumoto and many, many others. Guys, I salute una even if you are gone for good. You played your part. |
coogar:She is here. She 'retired' the Berem moniker and now uses MzJackBaueress. |
BRAV0O:Berem deserves special commendation. I used to cringe witnessing some of the insults flying her way - especially from Nairalanders from her ethnic group. It was savage, horrid and disgusting to see but our APC women leader stood strong . SAI BEREM !!!!! |
I always thought Buhari will win but the day I saw the picture below calm came over me. I was sure Buhari would win. The picture below completely depicts the aura and poise of a President. www.nairaland.com/attachments/2065039_2_jpegea571676ce9b75b0730a5d56350ae93e |
PassingShot:Done. https://www.nairaland.com/2229431/all-apc-supporters-fall |
As requested by Passingshot, this is my effort to create a Nairaland focal point to celebrate the win of GMB. We all fought hard, stood our ground, took the insults because our resolve to see good governance was unshakeable. I believe Buhari and Osinbajo will not disappoint Nigeria. APC supporters, help me drop your own congratulatory message. Big congratulation to team GMB/Osinbajo on Nairaland. We did it !!!!!!! |
Missy89:Thank you my dear lady. We indeed stayed the course and won. We will be on Buhari's case also demanding good Governance from him yet I feel Buhari will surprise Nigerians massively. I am just so happy that supreme technocrats like Fashola will now get a chance to operate at the centre to the benefit of Nigeria. I am even beginning to dream of stable electricity in 2 years. Exciting times ahead. May God give us all the good health and long life to enjoy seeing a Nigeria that is working courtesy of effective, benevolent and pro-people leadership. |
I.e Mallam Nuhu Ribadu. |
MAYOWAAK:Before nko? Otedola Na classic AGIP i.e "any government in power" yet he is wasting his time sucking up to GMB because Buhari will act in the interest of what will improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians and not the already fat bank balance of billionaires like Otedola et al. |
GMB and Osinbajo will show they have far more intellectual depth and goodness of heart than GEJ and Sambo. They will work to make all corners of Nigeria great and not neglect/marginalise anyone. GMB and Osinbajo are not vindictive and petty. They are real leaders who know what leadership is about. |
HIGHESTPOPORI:Why don't you tell us what official government position Tinubu currently occupies? To be honest you fans of GEJ have shown a worrying lack of intellectual depth. All you do is pander to ethno-religious and sectional prejudice. You shamefully made issues about Tinubu, because of nothing other than your hatred of his ethnic group, when actual recent history shows that it is very difficult for anyone to control a Nigerian President. If OBJ could not control 'docile' Yar Adua or 'weak' Jonathan how on earth will Tinubu control the very stubborn and resolute Buhari. You people should purge the hatred in your heart for others because it clouds your vision in relation to everything political. |
aljharem:Very mature comment aljharem. @OP I noticed nowhere in your comment did you scold GEJ for losing because he failed to deliver for Nigerians. Instead you indict him of having "no grit". Change your ways and outlooks. We are not animals. Stop talking as if we are thereby disgracing Nigeria in the process. The message is "perform of be booted out by the electorate". If they get this message in Ghana, Botswana, CIV and many other Countries smaller than Nigeria, which is the biggest black nation on earth, then you really should be ashamed of your own comments because we should be leading others by example via showing that black Africa has now joined the rest of the developed whereby re-election to office is based on adequate performance and rejection at the polls is the punishment for misrule. That is the message all Nigerians should take from this election because our democracy has just turned a big corner. |
@Nduchucks. My brother, OBJ did his bit to atone for his disastrous choice of GEJ which has cost Nigeria a lot of pain. I think most Nigerians will soften their hearts when they think of OBJ from this point on as he seems to have made up for his mistake. |
drtwist:Some of you say the most stupid things possible. |
SeverusSnape:You have done the classy and democratic thing. Kudos for that. This election was not a die-or-die affair even if some made it so. It was and remains about the need for Nigeria to gain good governance. I believe the win of the opposition advances and strengthens our democracy. We should all bear this in mind. |
sehin79:Whoever she is, she is welcomed to do as she pleases. All these egocentric nonentities thinking they amount to something. |
Sagamite:Some of these guys are so annoying and backwards that I can only blame lack of exposure to what good governance should be for the ridiculous things that comes out of their mouth. So it is "the good intentions" GEJ has for Nigeria that made him happy to watch over 15,000.00 Nigerians murdered by Boko Haram only to then start a desperate and vote-seeking military initiative against the terror group after postponing an election he was on course to lose? Imagine speaking in defence of such a cynical and callous President who would have been impeached a long time ago in most nations of the world? |
dounleedee:Some people are just a disgrace to themselves with how they wish to blame others for everything while presenting themselves as victims. When NDDC (Niger Delta Development Commission) looted the money meant to develop the Niger Delta how is that a fault of any other region? Please let oil price fall to $5 per barrel. I am so fed up of this "we feed the nation" hollow blackmail. It never seems to occur to many that it is leaders like GEJ, Orubebe et al who have looted the squandered the wealth meant to develop the ND. Bayelsa, as one example, should be a paradise considering its relatively small population commensurate with allocation boosted by 13% derivation. Some people will never see let alone admit the truth. The would rather go around portraying themselves as 'victims' we must all indulge. |
tgbaba:Thank you !!!! Why is this so difficult for some people to accept? Must our democracy remain in the stone ages in comparison to that of the rest of the world? The PDP has been in power for 16 years for God sake !!! Haba !!! How is it wrong for Nigerians to decide they wish to try another Party? |
rawtruth:This is another sad reality these elections have revealed about Nigeria i.e the fact that many Nigerians, like you, are conventionally educated yet not knowledgeable, genuinely democratic or politically sophisticated. What has all the pathetic excuses you give above, essentially seeking to portray GEJ as a 'victim', got to do with an election where Nigerians choose who they want to lead them. Get it into your head that this is not about what you want but about the will of majority of Nigerians prevailing. You should respect that and stop this Orubebe-style show of shame. Had GEJ performed satisfactorily will you be here boring us with your 'victim' excuses above? |
