Mynd44:Indeed. Are we now supposed to forget the monumental and universally acclaimed misrule of GEJ because of one act he was bullied into by the likes of David Cameron, Obama et al? GEJ did not want to leave and was not prepared to leave hence the massive rigging - and we have even seen the video proof - conducted for him in Rivers, Delta, Akwa Ibom et al. Whether people know it or not, the result, which showed Buhari had won despite the massive rigging of team GEJ, had been known since Sunday. Many moved behind the scene to convince GEJ not to try anything funny and subtle threats were deployed. GEJ, as expected of his self-serving nature, preferred not to piss-off this powerful lobby group. They never wanted to hand over and were willing to do anything to sit tight. Many simply showed GEJ he will be made to account for his action if chaos ensued because he did not want to accept the outcome of an election he clearly lost. GEJ was 'strong-armed' to accept defeat. |
patrickmuf:Bros, Thanks for the complement. I have certainly learnt a lot from Nairaland and enjoyed discussing with posters like you. Nairaland is not what it used to be. I joined in 2009 and have had the displeasure of watching this forum go downhill horribly. While 2011 elections on NL was sane and issue-based, this 2015 affair has been a horror show. The moderating does not help either. All in all, this has contributed to a poor user experience for posters who genuinely want the progress of Nigeria. |
omonnakoda:Well, you have been stating facts intelligently on this thread yet some are just speaking sentimentally and even senselessly. Why will the APC want to associate itself with GEJ's Minister who all failed cumulatively if we look at the big picture? Like you, I believe even the so-called performers in GEJ's cabinet are above average performer over-hyped as "achievers". With the highly dishonest, ineffective and totally compromised NOI top of the list. Adeshina, for those with high expectations, has done nothing special enough to make the APC even consider retaining him. The APC will distance itself from the failures of GEJ for sure. |
omonnakoda:Man mi, you have spoken well here dismissing the silly clamour for Adesina, Aganga, NOI et al. Stop wasting your time with these dreamers who just love to come here and yack. Non of the GEJ boys and girls will be retained by the APC. The APC never told anyone it was short of fine brains and top-level technocrats/achievers . GEJ's lot are all out. |
MayorofLagos:Non. The APC has the finest Nigerian brains in its rank already. |
Mynd44:Why is it implausible? Man mi, you don't know this forum as I do. I wonder why you would say such a thing knowing the character of some of the Mods here and the huge complaints of "unfair behaviour" against them. That is why I specifically asked Seun and OAM4J to look into this. |
Mynd44:I thought you were. Thanks for your help anyway. With your post below, it seems you do not get what I am getting at. Except they have changed the way the spambot works, a mod can not control itWhat is to stop a Mod banning me or anyone dictatorially to muzzle or frustrate us and then put a message on our profile page that we were banned by the anti spam bot? This is why I am insisting the Mods show the post I was banned for and what constituted spam in the post. Hope you see my point now? |
@Mynd44. I am waiting. Can you show the post I was banned for and the word/s the anti spam bot interpreted as spam? |
Mcowubaba:Same here. This is why I am now asking Mynd44 to show the post I was banned for to the entire forum so they be the judge. If there is anything that constitute 'spam' in it then Nairaland must move to set the parameters for spam better. I will not be happy until the post is revealed here and I have my reasons. |
Mynd44:Well show the post I was banned for to the forum and the thread I was banned on. Show the word that was spam in that message. This is all I ask. |
Vessi:Not interested in that any more. Do you know the amount of insults I have received over the years from PDP thugs here? Buhari and the APC do not need me promoting or defending them on NL any longer. Buhari will lead well because it is not particularly difficult to do so since Nigeria's major problems only persist mainly because leaders reject doing what must be done since doing so destroys the selfish and vested interest of a few including themselves. Buhari will do what must be done. I am sure of that. To that end I don't need to be here any more, at least not every day, to be heckled by agberos. |
I was banned for my last post before this one. Ordinarily I would let it slide because a ban is no big deal to me since it now seems to be a regular thing on NL these days. I would however like Seun and OAM4J to look into my last ban which I suspect was the work of a Mod hiding behind "anti spam bot". I contributed a post with no spam in it and was told the anti spam bot had banned me. I'll be out of NL soon anyway because my personal 'mission', i.e the removal of the PDP at the centre, has been accomplished Yet it would be good if you guys establish, for the sake of other users, if there is an ethnocentric Mod who goes around banning posters for the flimsiest excuses just to try and hound people out of NL. |
chukwudi44:I won't waste my time with a discredited and shameless hack like you. As all your foolish predictions has proven, you twats know nothing about SW politics even if you remain obsessed with the people of the region and their leaders . No time for you. |
Fayose is gone sooner or later. Buhari will not tolerate legislative gangsterism or disrespect for the rule of law as GEJ did and even promoted openly. See your life Ayo Fayose the man who felt he was untouchable and above the law? |
EUROBOMBER:Dude, very mature and objective of you. I actually liked your post for the first time in history of knowing you here . Anyway, from what you have said and how quickly you have said it, I believe you are clearly on the side of what is best for Nigeria. We who want the best for Nigeria, even if we find ourselves on opposing sides sometimes, are not enemies. My brother, this is what I tried to tell you all. We all want 24/7 electricity, good transport system, adequate healthcare et al. We should never lose focus of this to then be attacking each other when we should be discussing what our leaders are doing and how they are leading us. The same way I supported Buhari passionately is how I will hound him if I do not begin to see what I want to see in terms of progress and development for Nigeria because I 100% believe leaders are here to serve us and not the other way round. Anyway, we are cool now and God bless. |
delightful1:They are the worst. Nothing but glorified bigots, elitists and ethnocentric n1tw1ts the lot of them. Nothing more condemnable or more worthless than privileged folks who side with the oppression of ordinary Nigerians when they should naturally agitate and work for change . |
Theofficialbmax:My brother, leave them to be consoling themselves. Their plans are imploding before their very eyes and they need something to hold on to. How can anyone say it is to Agbaje's advantage that Buhari , the APC candidate, is President-elect? Some of the things Nigerians say convinces me they should be proclaimed the most sentimental people in the world. I am so happy for Fashola. That Nigga is too good to be deprived the chance to influence Nigeria's development from the powerful centre and backed by a supportive President. |
@Team GMB/Osinbajo. We took their taunts and insult yet never stopped promoting Buhari. They said we only win on the internet and they would retire the "serial failure" March 28. I think TANdroids and Jonathanians owe us a big apology for all the insult and campaign of calumny against us when they had asked for "issue based campaigning". Make una all join me dey laff in ObJ voice ![]() chukwudi44: EUROBOMBER: EUROBOMBER: customized13: customized13: EUROBOMBER:quote author=customized13 post=30030388]I will be glad to offer him the farewell orijin [/quote]customized13: FreeGlobe: major466: |
@OP. I have already given my prediction on NL about the three elections I care about the most . I.e Presidency and the guber elections for Lagos and Ogun State. I predicted a Buhari win, an Ambode win and an Amosun win respectively. I have not been wrong so far. I think Agbaje will lose by a far wider margin than PDP lost to APC in the Presidential election. Amosun will comfortably crush all others at the post probably polling around 70% of total votes. We are not God so let us wait and see. Not long to wait. |
This nauseating u-turn from the NTA shows how badly Nigeria literally needs professionals of integrity everywhere. This is why some of us passionately wanted GEJ to be kicked out. He deliberately created a culture of avarice, political patronage and cynicism that compromised Nigerian institutions that should be independent, professional and entirely neutral. Instead every major institution became an arm of the PDP. I am looking forward to a Buhari-led drive towards a great Nigeria. |
datguru:It is you who should shut up. You and others are nothing but empty braggarts, bitter losers and unsophisticated cavemen. Jonathan lost an election that saw the will of the people prevail. That is democracy. Deal with it or do your worst and watch how you will be dealt with. There will be no sympathy, local or international, for anyone that will pursue the promotion of chaos over the election results. All the world will see is a set of undemocratic elements trying to hold majority to ransom after their clearly unpopular and monumentally misruling kinsman lost an election. Believe me when I say all good people will rise up against such. Go and find out how David Cameron covertly threatened GEJ to accept the result and not run the risk of ending up like Laurent Gbagbo. Now go ahead and do your worst. Empty chest beater. |
gists:You know I am still shocked at the totally senseless utterances of these guys and the level of hatred of others that provoke their asinine talk. "Betrayal" when the SW gave GEJ 5 of their 6 six, electorally, to help him become President in 2011? Fast forward to 2015, and after the universally notorious and vehemently condemned misrule of GJ, it is "betrayal" to reject such a monumentally failed President after the SW gave him a chance by voting him into power in the first place. Honestly, some people , instead of coming to NL to make offensive noise, need to try harder to improve the state of their mental health so they can be better balanced and more productive members of society. |
Doncolio:I don't know why this is so difficult for them to do. Lose an election only to then whine about everything and everyone. They have to drag the Yorubas into things as well by openly calling us name and wishing misfortune on us simply because we made the free electoral choice we are entitled to make in a democracy. Childish and extremely puerile. |
laplace12:You can continue to lie to yourself that the APC zoned the Presidency to the North while denying the fact that the APC pragmatically and exhaustively inspected issues to determine that a Northern candidate stood the best chance of helping the Party win the Presidency as things stand today and in view of how things have transpired in the past 7 years. Buhari's win prove this strategy completely correct and a political success a pragmatically intelligent Nigerian, even if on the losing side, will appreciate and learn from. Yet this is thing about people like you that is self-defeatist and myopic . I.e the way your outlook is always clouded by hate for others, egotism and sentiments. When others play intelligent, progressive, bridge-building and winning politics you cannot engage in, because of innate bitterness and a divisive outlook that always cloud and prejudice your judgement, you begin talking of "zoning", "betrayal" and such childish nonsense. Most intelligently balanced people, even from your ethnic group, will know you are just bitter. You cannot accuse the Yorubas of any "zoning" or "gang-up" and even "betrayal" because you are too sentimental to understand that political strategy met political strategy and one came out on top. By the way, you are the slave you think others to be. You are a slave to a hateful heart that means you never take a rational, bridge-building or logical approach to politics or anything in life that involves relating with other Nigerians from all walks of life. This is why you will always be a loser and end up on the losing side of history. You chose to back GEJ bigotedly, despite his monumental and universally despised misrule, and you rejected Buhari. GEJ lost and Buhari has won. Yet you cannot look at yourself and the part you played in his loss and must, once again , blame Yorubas for an outcome that did not favour you. GEJ will now go down as a forgetable and failed President who took Nigeria backwards. Whereas Buhari has the chance and ability, in my opinion, to be the father of modern Nigeria like Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was for Turkey. You can therefore call Yorubas what you want but history, if Buhari does well, will end up showing you backed a misruler who was clearly bad for Nigeria and taking us backwards while the Yorubas ,in their majority, opted for change and an end to the misrule leading Nigeria towards failure as a State. |
djfox:It really is getting ridiculous !!! Do these people think of nothing progressive in their lives and only obsess vengefully about the misfortune they wish to befall others? Their bitter reaction to Buhari's win, and especially the fact they cannot wish him future success as President, even as they would be affected positively by this, confirms what many have said that ethnic bigots queued behind GEJ because they were loving how he was destroying Nigeria and wished it to continue. Of all the issues someone can talk of right now, a day after Buhari won an election as you point out, why a hateful and vendetta driven diatribe revealing you wish to see how the SW will be "betrayed" in 4 to 8 years time and that you would "sweetly" enjoy that 'impending' betrayal of the Yorubas? These guys are sick and repellent. Some of the post they have started today has left me only able to say wow wow wow repeatedly because it is laced with so much hate and vengefulness. |
chukwudi44:Look all these threads are getting silly. All that GEJ's loss has shown is that people like you are very vengeful elements without goodwill in your heart for others. If Buhari completes 8 years and provides electricity, modern and interconnected transport system, a thriving SME sector creating millions of jobs, a well-diversified and robust economy, adequate healthcare for all Nigerians and delivers general progress then my main worry when Buhari is leaving will be that we gain someone, whatever ethnic group they are from, who can continue moving Nigeria forward. Sad that a bitter, ethnocentric and hideously prejudiced cavemen like you can only look forward to the "sweetness" of the "revenge" your hateful heart expects to befall the Yorubas. You need to get over your hateful heart and understand that not all Nigerians are like you. Many just want a nation working well for majority of its citizens. You really are as ugly inside as you are on the outside. What an undesirable combo. |
obakovich:What is this mass madness afflicting you supporters of the PDP from the SE and SS? Why full of so much hate and a desire to see things from an ethnocentric/clannish/prejudiced perspective alone? This is the sort of mindless hatred that attracted many of you to the GEJ Presidency and ultimately led to the PDP becoming a divisive Party whose conduct put off decent ordinary Nigerians. The way Dokubo, Clark and many ethnic jingoist talked hatefully for years is what got the GEJ Presidency where it is today. You guys have not learnt any useful lessons at all from Buharis win and what made him popular and, inversely, made GEJ unpopular. Nigerians have spoken and chosen their President. Instead of you to wish them well and join the efforts to create a great Nigeria, you and other irredeemably bitter elements are busy predicting ethnic strife and misery for Nigeria. Instead of only being able to conceive hateful doom and gloom outlook for Nigeria why not think of an alternative where Fashola is working with EL Rufai, Utomi et al to move Nigeria forward to the benefit and glory of us all? We know some of you are programmed to hate Nigeria and wish her ill-fortune from birth but this is ridiculous. Many of us were in the opposition in 2011 when GEJ won. We wished him well and hoped he delivered. It is disgusting you guys cannot be the same and must wish woe on the APC in line with the sore, hateful and bitter losers you are. As if the need for Nigeria to make progress , at this very difficult time, is about Tinubu and the APC "regretting" their choice. Some of you simply need to find genuine happiness in your lives instead of going around with all this hate that even sees you wishing misfortune on virtually everything and everyone. |
@OP You make me laugh. You and all the many others starting these sentimental threads have been cracking me up since yesterday. I am walking and browsing NL and laughing wildly only for people to look at me as if I am mad. All because of the inane utterance of many of you. Do you think you can play opposition like we did for the past 4 year? PDP , supporters + leaders, is a gang of bigots, divisive characters, prejudiced individuals, unpatriotic elements, mercenaries, crooks and get-rich-quick scammers . You are not equipped to play opposition and you will tire in the first month of trying to do so because it is those who passionately care about Nigeria who can take seriously the role of constantly exposing and criticising what Government is doing wrong. Is it you and others always agitating for the break-up of Nigeria, and display apathy for Nigerian developmental politics, who will now be an effective opposition? Look at Nigeria. The most vocal critics of governments over the years have not really changed. They are the Gani Fawehinmi, Festus Keyamo, Ogaga Ifowodo, Femi Falana, Wole Soyinka, Sonala Olumhense, Pat Utomi, Sowore (saharareporters) et al. This are people passionate about fighting misrule and genuinely desirous of seeing a great Nigeria while you and most supporters of the PDP are very comfortable supporting misrule with how you queued clannishly behind GEJ. PDP leaders are even worse than you their supporters because they will lose their voice when there is no free money from the centre to buy 'lubricant' (Henessy et al) for their throat and no N1 billion naira food available to eat. Face reality the PDP will make a crap opposition for the very thing that made it a very crap ruling Party i.e the fact it is full of men/women who are mere mercenaries with no intellectual depth, enduring political conviction or passion to improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians. You can console yourself but I think solid performance from the APC ensuring the basic problems of Nigeria are resolved , e.g power supply, is enough to keep the PDP an opposition Party. Talk less of the problem of the indolence and lack of innate political brilliance of the PDP today which GEJ helped to create with how he chased out all the sagacious politicians in the PDP like Amaechi, Kwankwaso et al. Let me wish you 'goodluck' in advance with your efforts at being a proactive opposition. You will soon realise opposition politics suck if you are not driven by passion for a better Nigeria as we were. |
Rhino5dm:Oga mi long time !!! How far ? Another Buhari Ninja shows face. Your hard work and cyber wars with TANdroids and Jonathanians paid off. We have won . Still cannot believe it. Still sinking in. |
yokiti:This is why I hate the uncouth and childish trolls running amok on NL. They practically drove Pa Eziachi out with their insults. I could see Eziachi was a refined person who did not have it in him to engage these louts and probably thought it best to leave than come here daily to be insulted by 'agberos'. Anyway, I am sure he is smiling today. |
