Kai if these passionate and genuine agitators for change had met GEJ's rented crowd they would have beaten the daylight out of those jobless hirelings and fakers. The main dude leading the chanting is not kidding at all. I am sure bobo is ready to beat up any GEJ supporter mercilessly grin

God this sh*t is disgraceful and painful to watch. These fools are clearly 'rented' but who ever hired them is a grade-A dullard for not trying to at least ensure his 'recruits' have functional braincells. I actually cringed watching this show of shame. Definitely Jonathan must go or he will destroy Nigeria. This is terrible. Shame on the cluelessly corrupt PDP and their 'olodo' hirelings.

Exactly, my family are the only reason I'm even so invested in Nigerian politics, at the rate they're going I know paying pensions will become a problem - education will get worse, the economy will get even worse and guess who will have to support them? What will my younger ones inherit? At least living abroad, I can reason objectively without thinking of one uncle or aunt politician in a party that I feel an obligation to support. Each time I visit Nigeria everyone has lost more weight, gotten darker and look less healthy, the elder ones are losing eyesight like dogs because the health system is poor at prognosis, people are dying of preventable diseases. I'm lugging tons of items that should be easily sourced back home even fruit! A pot of grapes cost £10 in Nigeria! One apple costs £1, when are we going to realize this is ridiculous!

Those I speak to believe that GEJ has performed poorly, this is because PDP have become comfortable - we remember when Yaradua died and they refused to relinquish power, we remember the subsidy scandal, we remember the kidnappings in naija delta, we remember the promises made and never delivered we know they should not be rewarded.

Until we send this message incumbents are never going to do right by the masses, it's become the battle of the youngest, the finest, the most fluently spoken, the better liar instead of the most competent.
I so understand you because we are in the same situation. To think then that those in Nigeria who are experiencing, first-hand, the suffering PDP is delivering are the same ones still planning to vote for GEJ is just mind-boggling.

GMB is not the messiah Nigerians are expecting.
No one told you GMB is our messiah. Nigerians do not even have the right to seek a messiah given how badly the PDP has destroyed Nigeria over 16 years. Yet Buhari can begin our march in the right direction. You cannot not be serious if you are suggesting we should persevere with a proven failure like GEJ because "GMB is not the messiah". You must always remember the saying of Albert Einstein that "the definition of madness is doing things the same way yet expecting a different outcome".

We will give Buhari a chance and replace him at earliest opportunity if he fails to perform. What Nigeria cannot afford to do is persevere with GEJ because he will destroy our nation completely. This is someone who destroyed Nigeria totally when crude sold at $100 -$110 per barrel almost the entire 5 years he has been President now we should give him another 4 years when all is currently selling for $50 per barrel and expected to stay that way for 5 years or more? Think of generations unborn. GEJ put us in this position where we now have no choice but to give Buhari a chance.

Bl00dy Jobless F00ls, what do they know. Bunch of paid rascals, what are they doing in UK if Nigeria is Okay. They are in a society where there is Security, where there is power, where there is good medical facilities, where the prime minister does not rule with impunity, where election riggers are not rewarded with ministerial appointment, let them come back home and make that noise. We at home knows where the shoe really pinches, and all efforts to ease that shoe off, cannot be truncated by a bunch of 'foreigners'
God bless you and a million likes for your post. I repeat again that no decent, legitimate and productive Nigerian in the UK will agitate for the continuation of the GEJ Government because doing so amounts to inhuman wickedness and heartlessness against our fellow Nigerians who wake up daily to face the sort of hardship, 24/7 and 365 days a year, we would all collapse facing for even a day only.

Imagine folks enjoying 24/7 power supply agitating for greater darkness for their relatives and loved ones back home? Does that make sense?
Consider folks who enjoy good security speaking against a man, GMB, who brings hope that the daily killings of innocent Nigerians will end?
Is it those who enjoy $41,000.00 per capita income and have a well-developed credit system that ensures most ordinary employed folks can afford what they need who will back the leadership of Nigeria where politicians earn 4 times the salary of Obama yet per capita income of the relatively small number of employed Nigerians (average income per annum) is $3,000.00 while most Nigerians live on around $2 dollars a day?

http://data.worldbank.org/indicator/NY.GDP.PCAP.CD

Is it folks who see David Cameron, UK Prime Minister, leading some of the wealthiest and most comfortable people in the world by example, via using commercial air flights, who will hanker for the retention of GEJ who has ten airplanes while majority of Nigerians, who are amongst the poorest people in the world, cannot even afford bicycles?

I could go on all day but the bottom line is that TANdroids should try sticking to telling believable lies. The lives most productive Nigerians live in the UK means that they would never back GEJ who only symbolizes corruption, insecurity, deaths , darkness and the mortgaging of Nigeria to a crooked Oligarchic class. These 'protesters' are nothing but a paid bunch of drifters. I live in the UK and mingle with many, many Nigerians daily. I would say Nigerians here are even more passionate about the removal of GEJ than anybody else because we are appalled at what Nigerians at home face and understand the privilege we enjoy because of good governance. We want the same for our fellow Nigerians at home. Decent Nigerians in the diaspora are backing change all the way in the form of GMB/Osinbajo.

They will get an income weekly and even get their accommodation rent paid by the Government. The problem is that many Nigerians lack exposure and they do not know more than what they are used to in Nigeria. This is why they are "suffering and smiling" while singing and dancing for their oppressors who keep them in conditions most developed nation liberated their people from many, many decades ago.

Trust me Berem when I say there is not a single gainfully employed, productive or legitimate Nigerian in that 'hungry' gathering. Of course all Nigerians in the UK cannot support Buhari passionately but almost all decent Nigerians agree that "e don reach that level" because of the hideous misrule of GEJ that has totally stripped Nigerians of their humanity and dignity.

Nigerians in the UK see images of their fellow Nigerians blown to bits each day and living in hideous slums yet they know that Jonathan has ten airplanes, eats N1 billion food yearly and lives in hideous and insensitive opulence that mocks the very poor average Nigerians who are the majority by far. Nigerians in the UK know that the Prime Minister flies on commercial airlines. Are these the sort of people who would rationally agitate against change and back the continuation of GEJ in power?

Nairalanders can believe me 100% when I say it is only illegal immigrants and Nigerian members of the 'underground society' who can be coerced into this plot. All legitimately employed, decent and productive Nigerians who are in the UK diaspora will never agitate against what represent a window of opportunity and change for Nigerians (Buhari) for a continuation of the hopelessness GEJ represent. It is not possible for empowered folks (Nigerians in the diaspora) to be agitating for the greater enslavement of their oppressed fellow men and women i.e Nigerians in Nigeria.

For example, we all saw Malcolm Rifkind, an influential UK politician, resign recently over a secret taping that showed him compromising himself same as we saw Obanikoro, Momoh, Omisore and Fayose do with the Ekitigate secret recording. Rifkind's position was no longer tenable and the man did the right thing. In Nigeria Captain Sagir Koli has blown the lid open on the election-rigging and undemocratic immorality of GEJ and his minions. Yet we only see Jonathan agitating to get Obanikoro confirmed as a Minister so that Koro can then begin using his office and position to help GEJ steal the upcoming general election. Fayose is busy being as thuggish, vile and uncouth as ever !!!

Which sane Nigerian in the UK diaspora will agitate for a continuation of that madness? If we did this then it would mean we are cruel folks who do not mean well for our fellow Nigerians and do not want them to ever experience the relative sanity, order and progress we take for granted. No decent Nigerian in the diaspora will support GEJ to continue in office because they are exposed to much better systems where most things, even if the nation is not perfect, work as they should for majority of ordinary citizens.

Buhari is finished..lol
You guys make me laugh with your myopia and self-destructive outlook. It is Nigerians, along with you and yours, who are finished if GEJ is elected to lead Nigeria for another four years. When the President who has earned by far the most income of all Nigerian Presidents, courtesy of crude selling for around $100-$110 per barrel for the period of his tenure, could only deliver darkness, monumental corruption, insecurity, biggest scams in Nigeria's history, record level of oil theft, institutional bankruptcy, inadequate healthcare, infrastructural dearth et al then it is not Buhari who is "finished" if GEJ continues.

It is you and average Nigerians who are finished if GEJ and his gang continue in power because they will now have to satisfy their huge appetite for stealing and corruption from less than half the income Nigeria was receiving courtesy of crude now selling for $50.00 per barrel. Now they have to steal from income generated through oil selling at $50.00 per barrel when they were already very merciless robbing you when oil sold for $110.00 per barrel. Continue to make your hatred of Buhari a personalised one while you take your eyes of what GEJ will do to your future and that of generations unborn. Buhari is only trying to lead and do the right thing. He is a privileged and blessed man already who has recorded every success and happiness a good and productive life bring. The same cannot be said for millions of Nigerians and it is them you should think about if you are wise and indeed sensible.

That thief called the president of my country comes to mind whenever the word corruption is mentioned.
I really do not understand the Nigerians still singing the praise of Jonathan. The only people Nigeria is working for under GEJ are terrorists, oil bunkerers, militant warlord, corrupt men/women and all Nigerians tied to governance/politics. For everyone else, which would be around 95% of the populace, Nigeria sucks horribly in comparison to even sane African nations let alone the lofty standards of the best Western nations. It shows you that Nigeria is still horribly backward when some choose to continue supporting their oppressors of 16 years who have stripped them of human dignity, impoverished them and turned many into beggarly sycophants. In any other nation of the world the overwhelming conclusion, after 16 years of horrendous misrule by the PDP, would be to give another Party a chance. I personally think Nigerians will give the APC a chance because Nigeria is not working for the ordinary man/woman.

Even at these camps all manner evil things happen because nobody knows who is who. I hope if GEJ wins his second term i hope he wont go back to slumber the way he has allowed BH to do much damage to lives and property. One thing i have discovered about GEJ is that he's not bothered about lossing their lives. He doesnt have feelings for people.
This is my opinion too. I think the man is very callous and capable of great cruelty. He is entirely about self-preservation and whatever god he serves will judge GEJ for letting Nigerians die horribly for years only to now mount this politically-motivated pretence of tackling terror because of impending election loss.

SkyBlue1:
Brilliant article! It really is that simple. This election is not about a choice between differring political idealogies, it is a choice between corruption, insecurity, unnaccountability, disunity; and something else that might resemble credible governance. Most of the arguments you here for sustaining this government in power for another four years are things like "It is their turn" "Let him finish his own" "He is ordained by God". Nothing about performance or addressing the numerous ignored scandals Nigerians have been assaulted with. Is the choice really that difficult for any right thinking person? If anything this is a chance for Nigerians to break 15 years of unbroken incumbencies that have taken them for granted. Nigerians, choose to believe you are worthy of a change in direction. Choose to believe you are worthy of better governance. Choose to believe you are worthy of any semblance of credible government.
100% correct. This is a President whose style is entirely typified by nation-crippling corruption, bloated governance, promotion of criminality, irresponsible inaction and leadership profligacy. It was only because crude sold for $110.00 per barrel , virtually throughout the tenure of GEJ, that Nigeria did not collapse totally with the brand of brazen and wholesale theft/corruption GEJ favours. Now that crude is $50 per barrel, and predicted to stay low for years, it is only a very 'slow' adult who will not understand the obvious implication of what GEJ will do to Nigeria if elected to preside over a period that will need serious discipline, cost-cutting, robust crime-fight, reduction of crude oil theft, reduction of bloated governance, institutional reforms et al. We have seen GEJ's leadership to note he does not even have the capability to lead well under favourable economic conditions and it is only madmen who will then take a chance on GEJ leading us in what is 100% going to be very difficult and austere economic period.

Voting for a candidate should be by choice and not compulsion. GMB is my choice but I will rather convince people to vote for him in a more democratic way.
You misunderstand the author of the article. He made it clear that other levels of elections are appropriately political and he even gave the example of Agbaje and Ambode. It is the Presidential election he considers to be something else and a struggle to regain the soul of Nigeria. I have to say I agree with him because in sane clime, full of politically sophisticated adult who are effective and critical thinkers, it would be difficult for GEJ to get even a vote when he has destroyed Nigeria totally and , in 5 years, has caused the death of over 15,000.00 Nigerians directly and indirectly. There is no offence that can be committed against a Nation by a leader that GEJ has not been guilty of. You just name it and our President has done it and more. Brazenly as well as if to taunt the world that "I am openly irresponsible, callous, morally bankrupt and highly corrupt so what are you going to do about it?".

I am afraid the author is 100% correct even if we find his language harsh and ostensibly undemocratic. His opinion is that GEJ is not even a palatable choice for any sane adult, hence his threat to disown a child who would vote Jonathan, and I agree. It is up to Nigerians to regain the soul of their nation back from Vultures who took Nigeria backwards, in every sector, over 5 years when oil sold at $100 - $110. Yet the profligate, highly irresponsible, callously corrupt and spendthrift GEJ want to tell us he is the man to turn things round over 4 years when oil , now selling for $50.00 per barrel, is likely to remain low for the next 5 years according to analysts.

What 'miracle' is the wasteful and corrupt GEJ hoping to perform over the next 4 years? It is obvious we are not even talking "more of the same" here and it should be crystal clear to any sensible Nigerians that things will worsen drastically under GEJ if he gets another 4 years because a man who worsened Nigeria horrendously to turn her into Afghanistan, during a prolonged period of high oil prices, and has never shown an ability to reign in waste and bloated Governance is not what we need going into what will be a very difficult and 'austere' period for Nigeria. A lot of Nigerians are too sentimental and clannish to see clearly and note that the inabilities, inadequacies and incompetence of GEJ, allied his warped belief system, will totally finish Nigeria if he is the one to preside over the next few years of certain economic hardship. Yes I fully understand the anger of the author because GEJ, given all he has done, is not really a "choice" any sane adult should entertain. Doing so is 100% akin to committing very painful suicide.

Nigeria needs to show the world it is not a completely insane nation run by shameless lunatics. It would be tragic for Nigeria, and a severe blow to our image, if Obanikoro ie eventually confirmed a Minister after the Ekitigate electing rigging tape scandal.

Our legislator , over an issue that is now in the universal public domain like the Chibok kidnapping, need to show the world their autonomy, decency and uprightness by standing up to a rogue President who now appears disinterested in toeing the path of honour and administrative morality.

Fayose's behaviour is one all decent Nigerians from good backgrounds, whether supporters of the APC or PDP, should condemn. I feel sorry for Ekiti people coz they obviously didn't bargain for this when they 'elected' Fayose. Since his inauguration he has turned the stalking of Buhari into an obsession while neglecting the good governance he was elected to deliver.
It was shameful of Ekiti folks to vote for this man considering he was disgraced out of office, for corruption and misrule, in his first outing as governor. Any pragmatic person would know that Fayose is incapable of delivering good Governance. Ekiti folks merely embraced sentiments when they should have voted pragmatically and sensibly. Now they, and they alone, will bear the brunt of Fayose's misrule which we are all seeing in 3D. The disgraceful man is not even pretending to lead any more. He is now just stalking Buhari shamelessly while some 'omo alaileko' are egging him on and praising his disgraceful conduct.

Amosun, in bold below, says what many of us have been saying all along since Fayose began his 'madness'. Only uncouth and ill-bred gutter agbero will support Fayose's vile and evil antics over an election. There is no democratic bone in Fayose and we all know that now 100% courtesy of Captain Sagir Koli. Fayose is a disgrace to Nigerian leadership and Ekiti folks should take a good look at themselves for telling the world that this abhorrent man is the best they can do.

Buhari Is Stronger Than Fayose - Gov. Amosun

The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has berated the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, for his continuous scathing remarks about the health status of the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd.), saying Buhari is stronger than Fayose.

He said this on Monday while speaking with journalists after meeting with 705 community development associations and cooperative societies in the state at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.

Fayose’s recent remarks came on the heels of the ongoing visit by the APC presidential candidate to the United Kingdom, where he met former Britain’s Prime Minister, Tony Blair, among other engagements.

The Ekiti State governor had alleged that Buhari had gone for a check-up on his alleged failing health, instead of a working visit as claimed by the APC.

But Amosun said it was not in the character of the Yoruba to wish anyone death.

He said, “It’s a big shame from the quarters where the ‎allegation came from. We are Yoruba.

“There is an unwritten rule: t’aba n ja, bi ti ka ku ko (Even if we are quarelling, it is not to wish each other dead).

“Even in this instance, we are not fighting. We want to represent our people. How can a sane person wish somebody else dead. It is a disgrace to our race as Yoruba for somebody to be wishing another person dead.

“For your information, General Muhammadu Buhari is even stronger than the character that is saying the man is weak; maybe because of the military background.”

Amosun, who was part of Buhari’s entourage to the UK, said he had to struggle to catch up with the 72-year-old retired General, despite his own age of 57.

He said, “Even because of the way I walk, it’s like catching up with him. For his age, maybe because of his military background. It’s like seeing Baba Obasanjo too and say he’s old.

“This is the man that is very agile; we are even telling him that you have to slow down. This is the man that we met together with Tony Blair. We left the place and we went to about five different places. The man is hale and hearty.

“Even when we went to Ben Television, I told him ‘you can’t follow me, you have to go home’. He was willing, he was ready even in the cold. The man was walking round.”

He further berated the ruling party for going viral on the Internet with falsehood, on the purported visit of Buhari to a London hospital.

He added, “You can see the photoshop they are using; they are saying a lot of rubbish. This is not politics. It is descending to an abysmal level and I think all lovers of democracy and all lovers of humanity should caution them.

“Politics shouldn’t be like‎ this; saying that he (Buhari) has three months to live. They are just talking rubbish.

“Politics will finish. Where would they be when you begin to talk this rubbish? I think it’s a shame and I think they are descending to a level that is unheard of, that negates reasonableness and good thinking. It’s against our tradition as Yoruba.”

While talking about his administration’s interaction with the CDAs and cooperative societies, Amosun said he had gone to all the 236 wards in the state and met all the CDAs in their various locations.

Thanks my man but no need to provide links for "suffering and smiling" cretins. Those sort are completely damaged beyond repair to the point they will forever remain praising and supporting their oppressors. It is sane folks like us who can rescue them. Yet we must first acknowledge that they are mad and only in need of healing and not attention. This is why I don't talk to 'mad people' here.

Oh, Obama is the President of the countries measured above?
Isnt the Governments in those countries if measured on a scale of competency would be found to be either largely weak, incompetent or lack direction. 'Yes or No?'

So would you like to tell us what the world/international community would say about an American President if 8000-10000 American citizens were to be killed by terrorist scum resident in the same country?

If I remember correctly, you're the guy that was gyrating over 4-7 hours electricity.
(He's in bondage and don't know it)
Are you minding that cretin? This is why I always ignore him. Can what Nigeria is experiencing be happening inside the USA as the status quo? Would Obama still have his job if this was the case? We all saw the Boston Bombers tracked down and 'neutralised' ASAP yet Nigeria is now about unpunished terrorism almost every single day while thousands of our fellow men/women are murdered in cold blood. Why on earth would I then want to talk to a lunatic (Anonimi) defending such a status quo with his petty and unintelligent attempt to distract attention away from what all averagely intelligent adults can see clearly which is that GEJ is grossly incompetent?
