First of all, It's very childish to quote me and ask not to be replied.

If you react to provocation and break the law, then you will reap the consequences of breaking the law. NK's provocation does not justify the Arewa Youths action. The law is clear on taking matters into your hands and inciting violence and civil unrest.

So I'm not saying not to arrest NK. I'm saying what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

You tell your Neighbor that he should park from the compound by a fixed date or his life and properties cannot be guaranteed. He reports you to the authorities. You cannot simply recant. The law is supposed to run its full course. Supposed to.

Now, the Arewa Youths did not apologise. The exact word they used is "suspended". Does that sound like repentant folk to you?

Self defence is not the same as taking the law into your hands. You need to prove that your life was in immediate danger before you can say it's self defence. For example, your neighbour said that he his coming to kill you in two weeks. Are you supposed to kill him before the two weeks elapses or report to the appropriate authorities? Self defence will come into play if your Neighbor actually attacks you on the said day with the intent of killing you and you had no means of escape so you had to defend yourself.

Acts of provocation does not justify you taking the laws into your hands. If someone slaps you three time you should report to the appropriate authorities. That's the law.
