Sincere 9gerian: My vote and support for GEJ was for the following reasons :That thing beside the water in Onitsha is what you call a port? I'll prefer you use the word 'jetty' Instead of a country thinking of how it will build fast moving rails to transport goods and people, they are dredging a natural water way without considering the environmental effects. |
XKZ: Does that give him the right to insult Lagosians? He didn't insult anyone. He only said that you should get out of the kitchen of you can't stand the heat and if you choose to stay you should live by the rules. When you travel outside the country, why do you find it so easy to obey their rules? Lagos can't be an exception but if you choose to break the law, you will be dealt with accordingly. Simple! |
gerald28: I just purchased a Zueasw airline ticket from Lagos to enugu, but I don't know much about this airline as I have not been in the country for about three years now, so I don't know much about this airline. I want to know about it's airworthiness and efficiency. And again, I have a total check in luggage of 92kg, am I going to be charged for extra luggage?? and if so like how muchNever flown them before so I won't know. For local travels, I stick with Arik and Aero |
igbo boy: go and deport them if no be mouth your power reach...You can't deport within a country brainless And if you get pass mouth, go and break any of our laws and you will see what we will make of you ... A classical scapegoat |
berem: every country right? Last time I checked,Lagos is a state and not a country.who are you to say who gets deported or not? I can see that it is non-lagosians who are yorubas are the ones making noise here! You people should encourage your governors to develop your states and stop worshipping Fashola.Every state has its own laws and you don't have to stay there if you can't live with it |
adconline: An employee who does not know what it takes to own a business is calling business owners petty traders. You are employee because you don't have the balls to underwrite your own risks. Why are bankers like you always going after these traders?Past tense. I own three separate companies now that make me in three months more than all I ever earned working for 'everyone' else yarodin: Yoruba when you say ingenuity are you talking about the Yoruba invention below ?What the UK and USA is to a Yoruba man is what Lagos and Ibadan is to an Igbo man |
emmalexabl: U must be an AWORI and not Yoruba, otherwise u go clear follow the Igbos....The difference between an Awori man and an Egba man is the same difference between an Anambra man and an Enugu man yarodin: LOL, I now understand what Yoruba manu wants. They want a one united Nigeria, but everyone stay in your area. Hehe, una never see anything yet, if Fashola like deport everyone out of Lagos we go still reenter. Abi no bi Nigeria all of us still dey? Useless olodos don't even know whether they want to break or still remain one Nejira. Is someone here desperate? Does this mean what without the Yoruba ingenuity, you are nothing but...hopeless? |
victord1st: its even far frm being the largest igbo dominated congregation.Just list 3 churches in Lagos that have more than 10,000 Igbos You guys do the worst of insulting us and are so quick to call people who are intellectually superior to you Yoruba, whatever that means. And now you've only proved to us that you are a race of fraudsters with this lie. Even Winners Chapel that is reputed to have the biggest church auditorium in Nigeria cannot sit 250,000 people in one service. You're just a cheap lair and true to type - fraudster |
seanet01: This is one of the reasons why i said Ibos are Dumb lliars!! See the bolded, so how many people dey the church sef? baboonCan he tell us the name and location of the church? 250k Igbos ko, 250 million Biafrans ni Na you dey take attendance for church? A race of fraudsters |
Why does that pointless Point B keep using large fonts to get noticed? Igbo people are all noise and no action. Empty barrels |
seanet01: Of course you will said that Lagos belongs to all sundry, but deep inside you know that the original owners were the one stayed behind in 93 when you people started your coward yam festival in the east. No room for nonsense in Lagos, it is either you are submissive to our laws or you Bleep off to your erosion ravaged iboland. Clear?Lagos belongs to the Government of Lagos and the Lagos State Government belongs to the Yoruba. They can say whatever they like, this has always been the case and will always be |
Eziachi: The last we check, their is no country called Yorubaland rather than One Nigeria your forefathers sheds blood to keep as one.Of course not and we have not been flaunting it but you guys have never been able to achieve that And who is talking about oil here? Move with the times man. Countries have become super power nations without oil flowing from under their soils but if you wanna argue that then you must know that Lagos and Ogun have oil in commercial quantities apart from Ondo which is still Yorubaland. I wonder why the phrase 'Yorubaland' freaks you out. Don't you guys claim the SE is Igboland and even poke your noses into a number of SS states claiming their are Igboland? I don't care where Igboland extends to. I am Yoruba and will continue to be proud of, invest in and make it prosperous in every way I can |
PointB: IGBOS SHOULD NOT VOTE ACN IN 2015. I CAN'T SAY THIS LOUD ENOUGH!Who gives a flying hoot what party you stick your dirty thumbs to? Yorubas will determine who rules in Yorubaland Now ACN is a Yoruba tribal abi? If that's the case, what would you say about your backward APGA? At least, BRF appointed an Igbo man commissioner apart from people from other tribes in several ministries and parastatals. Can that happen in Igboland? When even one Igbo state can't allow people from another state work with its own government You guys are just a bunch of hypocritical propagandists |
Just passing ... Anything I can do to make this happen faster? Lemme know ASAP |

My poverty? Did you say my poverty? And what's the big deal in a N2m per day turnover. Not even his PBT. I don't need to say much. I already have a life and this life has been kind to me from the day I was born till date |
xwolverine: Lets reason on the following points so as to arrive at a viable assumption that we can base the premise that IGBOs don't own Lagos.Whether you like it or hate it, Lagos still remains Yorubaland. Owned by Yorubas, controlled by Yorubas and mostly populated by Yorubas. The next most populous tribe in Lagos is the Hausa tribe and they are a distant second. |
okpara ugo: The picture shows me a hale and hearty red BRT bus.Maybe in your village that's what a 'healthy' bus looks like If these Okada guys continue this way, I'll advise that government places a one month total ban on them and thereafter allow them again on the restricted roads. I was on my way towards Marina this morning and saw one speeding towards my car, against traffic on a bridge Yesterday on Bourdillon, I witnessed a ghastly accident while one, with a passenger tried escaping arrest, seriously hurting his passenger in the process and zooming away I will advise any sane person to avoid using them, especially on the restricted routes, for now |
victord1st: 6 banks.this is pure prostitution, settle down bro.Call it whatever, I moved when I got better offers And how on earth an you say Alaba has a higher turnover than all the listed companies in Nigeria. The market can't even rival the smallest bank in Nigeria. I'm sure you don't realize that a banks' revenue is in exceed of $1bn for each of the top three banks. I've had dealings with the biggest of the Alaba guys before and even the biggest of them doesn't do a turnover of more than N100m per annum. Can you compare that to the T/O of Cadbury, Guinness, Nestlé, P&G, Airtel, Globacom etc? If they were that big, their names must have been on the Forbes list now and I can confidently say that the entire turnover of Alaba isn't up to $1bn. Will be a miracle if it hits $100m Besides how many people stil buy their electronics from Alaba when Samsung, LG, Sony etc already have shops opened in countless malls across Nigeria |
Da infamous: so all those roads build by lagos state and other projects come from yoruba treasury right? ok how many yoruba companies in Lagos contribute to that 30 billion as you claimed, lagos has over 17 million people in those 17 million, how many of them are yorubas? let check by ratio, let say beacuse yoruba towns and villages are closer to lagos than other states so it make sense why they have more yorubas people migrating to lagos including area boys on the streets and slums.Which lands have we sold? I keep hearing this and I just can't believe it. In Ikoyi where I live, virtually every senior person retired from the LASG owns a property there. It's the same in VI and Lekki. Even in the mainland, I see Yorubas as landlords in most places I go. Even in the lands burea, if you sort the records, you will find out that most of the lands and properties in Lagos belong to people from the SW. Do you think Festac is the whole of Lagos? That's where most Igbo landlords own properties and because you own 50% of Festac doesn't mean and will never mean you own 50% of Lagos. I have property in Warri and PH, does that mean myself and a few Yorubas that own properties own PH? Do my houses in the Manchester of Kent make me the owner he UK. Do I own Abuja because I have properties there? Anyone that has ever said Igbos or any tribe owns Lagos obviously hasn't bought a square inch of land in Lagos because all the land in Lagos first and foremost belongs to the government of Lagos. Should Nigeria divide, and there is an O'dua Republic, the land will belong to O'dua Republic and the government can make laws to do whatever it pleases with the land under her jurisdiction |
Da infamous: pls can u tell us what yorubas have contributed in the union? because Lagos 3rd mainland bridge and other big projects comes from FG treasury not from yoruba treasury..Interesting If only 3MB is what you can see, why are you still here? So you're blind to all the roads and bridges constructed ever since the Federal capital moved? Why does Fashola keep winning international awards for beng the best governor? Why is Lagos the most innovative African city? Why is the GDP of Lagos almost $40bn, almost as high as that of Ghana and that of all the SE states put together? You must have failed to see his IPPs. Why are your governors coming to take lessons on governance from him? Before 1999, Lagos barely generated N600m per month in IGR, today the state makes almost N30bn in IGR alone with majority coming from telcos, manufacturing, banking and insurance I know your hate is stronger than your objectivity but even at that your post smacks of low or little reasoning |

You don't know how many Igbos I employ as security men, dispatch riders and drivers in Lagos and Abuja do you? The few ones I've employed as full staff have been fraudulent except one that more or less grew up in the SW and was exposed to decent values early in life I dare your loud mouthed race to make that dirty claim that you own Lagos in public or let your chief declare himself a first class traditional ruler if you truly own the land. Still waiting for that day. Slowly and steadily, we will show you the way to Onitsha and Nnewi because as it is you have become an embarrassment to an enterprising and progressive Yoruba land. The ones that claim to do 'genuine' business (which is largely trading) cut corners while the others are robbers, prostitutes, fraudsters, rapists, kidnappers and murderers |
victord1st: mildly put, igbos owns over 50% of properties in lagos i dont need any useless statistics to prove that.We own lagos.Another Igbo scam You own Lagos but can't make the rules You own Lagos but don't even control the economy I dare you to make that claim in public or tell your Ohaneze of Lagos to make that claim or declare himself a first class traditional ruler Yorubas have been far too linient Own ko, owe Ni |
How sad? I know of a similar story. Some families are just damn callous |
hunkydory: Little wonder they say Nigerian graduates are unemployable. He does not even know what is commerce neither does he know what is petty trading.Merchants and importers that abound in alaba international and trade fair are petty traders? You are deplorable. They are petty traders my friend! I've worked in over 6 banks, including an Igbo bank and I know those that issue big ticket LCs are not those petty traders in Alaba |
Correction In some parts of Yoruba land, it will set you back around $2m to acquire a plot and not $1m |
Any updates? ![]() |
Ann77: I thought laws are supposed to be made for the people?Bikes are an absolute nuisance in Ikoyi and VI. Can't believe someone will say this? If you can drive, take a cab, if you can't take a cab, ride a bicycle, if you can't ride a bicycle, take a bus, of you can't take a bus, walk ... I know Nigerians that will walk the whole length of Oxford Street with shopping bags in their hands but can't walk from Oriental Hotel to Getz Arena. Even if you complain about the scorching sun, how do you cope in Dubai and what on earth are umbrellas for? |
k2wise: Am not from the east but, I personally think without the ibos in lagos, commerce could come to a halt, who will run Alaba international, trade fair etc. They control 70 percent of the commercial activities in lagos and the others to my lazy brothers who would rather do politics and be chairman of one bus park or one street collecting tolls.Tell me what happens in Alaba? Electronics sales? Never bought any gadget from there and never will. You call petty trading commerce? Walk into the banks, the telcos, the manufacturing companies in Ikeja, Agbara, the malls in VI and Lekki etc and tell me if the turnover of the least of those companies won't dwarf the whole of Alaba's? |
Classicalman: Let me say this for the umpteempth time, and to the hearing of all Yoruba Igbo haterz: "Get it through your thick Yoruba skulls: There is nothing you cowards can do to Igbos in Lagos. The day una go try rubbish, we go send una packing"Time will tell. All it takes is for the bravest if you to mess with the weakest of us and you'll see. Waiting for that day |
DJTee: Swapping or sacking commissioners is no palliative for non-performance in Oyo State.......His Excellency should keep in mind that the people of Oyo will sack his entire party (ACN) if no tangible results are obvious by 2015.Way to go. The SW has always done that and won't stop |
Makes sense to me. Would keep the rest on their toes and I like the use of the word 'inefficiency' making it as clear as it really is so the others and newly appointed ones will realize that performance is the only factor that guarantees their continued stay in office If I was a governor, I will start by setting and agreeing on Goals and Targets with my commissioners and I will assess them every six months and measure milestones towards the achievement of their goals. If that's what the Oyo State governor is doing or has done, then he's brilliant |
