Some guys just rant without posting facts to support their claims luvinhubby: Politicians will cook up any meaningless idea to remain relevant......only in Nigeria. |
Following the restriction of taxicycles aka okadas in Lagos, I think any right thinking person would at his time try to avoid taking a bike especially on the restricted roads. My driver almost ran into one of them as he dangerously maneuvered on Bourdillon Road to avoid being apprehended thereby hurting his passenger in the process. She looks to me like she's gonna be in the hospital for some time. The LASG has made a law restricting commercial motorcycles and it can only be reversed via legal means and not flagrant violation of the laws. Even if a bike man doesn't see these sense in obeying the traffic law and places little value on his life, must you as a commuter expose yourself to such grave risk? As it seems, trying to escape or run away from law enforcement agents has even made the business of riding commercial bikes in Lagos more dangerous on the restricted roads. Just my two pennies' worth. Doesn't mean it should make sense to you |
sucess001: so cos LASG tells u they got 9000 roads...u sef believe? where the 9000 roads na? na inside dem office e deyLagos remains the only state I can drive around using my navigation system in Nigeria. Its simple because all the roads are mapped and can be counted easily. Even when you look at the navigation map, you can count hundreds of roads on a wide screen of an LGA. If Lagos tells you it's got a million roads you can't doubt it because they have it all mapped. My navigation map even seems to show that there are over 9,000 roads in Lagos. |
Okija_juju: Because out of the 9000 roads, only 452 are good roads..Is this an attempt at humor? Certainly not funny |
Asiwaju9ja: Does anyone know where I can get Cycling protective Helmets for my Team? I want to buy them today. Sorry for derailing the TopicIf you're in Lagos, you want visit Game at the Palms Mall. They've got loads of them |
Why are these guys so lawless? You've been restricted from riding on only 452 out of over 9,000 roads. Why on earth is that hard a rule to stick with!? I think government needs to get firmer |
luvinhubby: Whether in or out of office, they are all politicians. The slogan "Southwest economic intergration" originated and is beng propagated by politicians.Call them that but a progressive plan must be applauded |
luvinhubby: Politicians will cook up any meaningless idea to remain relevant......only in Nigeria. This isn't an idea by politicians for politicians. It's an idea by Yoruba leaders for Yorubaland |
Ricky_Ross: Are you not ashamed you are from a tribe that claims to be intelligent, yet your parents destroy your faces with tiger marks in the name of culture?Omo Yoruba Ni Mi O!!! We've got the swags. We drew tribal marks, fine but now everyone is going tattoo. We're not complaining, neither is the rest of the world we get to do business with. FYI Igbo people and cities are the dirtiest in Nigeria. Just don't bother replying. We are discussing DAWN here which is a highly cerebral topic and the least we want is one of your aimless rants on declaring Biafra or claiming to have the tallest residential buildings Still Proudly Yoruba |
Flygeriansteve: virtually everywhere i go outside the southwest or in discussions i have with ppl from other tribes especially the Ibos, my sense of propriety and logic gets constantly assuaded by this brainless misinformed argument that Lagos is is a no-man's land(i think it's because Yorubas have been largely accommodating. Ibos and we Yorubas don't tell ppl that Kaduna or Abuja is no-man's land); that the Europeans were the first settlers in Lagos; or that other tribes have as much claim to Lagos as the yorubas. These argument are informed by ludicrous ignorance and a stupefying lack of common sense. If Lagos is No Man's Land, then add PH, Onitsha and Enugu to that list. The Lagos monarchy has been in existence for over 200 years. The question now is, who was King and his subjects? Where would their descendants be indigenes of? |
chosen04: @Op,A UK trained lawyer so what!? I'm a US trained engineer. Even if he's Professor of Law at Harvard, he has demonstrated a clear lack of understanding of how to use it to his advantage. He's just an attention seeker. Seems like he got some dose of it |
bashr8: dont mind those confused bunch. see them running their mouth all over the place.Who is complaining? The sooner you make it happen, the better for the rest of us. I'm just telling you that there's only one way to get it done expect you wanna start another war which you know you can't win. |
Mr. Globe:Not everyone that is successful made his money through fraud. I am one and I know a lotta people who are. Sore loser and 'bastard' is a sign of intellectualism in your post? The best if your reasoning was my worst in elementary school I must confess. I keep insisting that you must have hit your head as a kid or you're slowly becoming senile. As a matter of fact, you already are |
berem: if I talk now you will say you don't want intellectual mud challenge.where did the poster mention Lagos not to talk of southwest? We are talking of SE states and not SW.Moreover, why is it Lagos all the time? Are there no other tall buildings in the SW apart from lagos? This boasting don too much I swear.Still don't want it. You win |
Mr. Globe:What's wrong with this brainless eediot? You are the bastard! Low life retard. Your must have hit your head as a kid and grown up on cheap and expired dog food! You read my post, couldn't debate intellectually and then you call me a bastard! Who the hell are you? |
bashr8: go and choke yourself in rat poison , which yorubaland are you talking about? those villages and cages filled with tribal marked illiterate motor touts. most of you yorubas lack sense. why is it bothering you the most? demons.Don't wanna start this debate again tonight. The economy or the SW minus Lagos is bigger than that of all the SE states put together. The GDP of Oyo State alone is higher than that of any state in the SE. How many times do I have to educate you on this? Are you that dull? How on earth did you make it through school? |
Take it or leave it, the Yoruba race is far ahead. I don't know how I'll be feeling if I wasn't Yoruba but right now, I couldn't have wished I was from another tribe. Not now, not ever |
Now compare that to GEJ and Dame's kiss |
Seriously? The tallest residential buildings I've seen in Nigeria are in Ikoyi and Victoria Island standing 10-15 floors on the average but high rise residential buildings are the way to go instead of all these housing schemes that consist of bungalows. The LASG has been doing fairly well and will give their 3-4 storey residential schemes a pass mark |
berem: abeg how many SW states are developed? Patapata na only Lagos! Even Yorubas that are not from lagos are all claiming Lagos as their state.Too bad! Yeah! You wish for yorubas to be a seperate country, but what have you people done about it? When other ethnic groups are clamouring for a seccession, you guys aren't doing anything yet you say igbos have demonstrated stupidity and naivety.the north through boko haram is asking for an islamic state.are you people really waiting for other ethnic groups to secceed before it dawns on you that Nigeria is a failed state?I made a promise some time ago never to respond to you because it will amount to dragging myself into an intellectual mud and I will just pretend I didn't read your post |
Once again some Igbo people have demonstrated stupidity and naïvety. Still can't believe the MZB leader calls himself a lawyer. To achieve independence, you will need to make a case to the UN for a referendum. Seriously I just wished the Yoruba nation was a separate country on its own because we are the only region, from inception of Nigeria till date that has demonstrated progression intellectually, socially, technologically and politically. Look at the SW states under this democratic dispensation and tell me whether or not they aren't they most progressive in the way they have ruled and planned their communities as well as developed it. Small wonder people from other regions keep flocking here It's also shocking that only 500 people were arrested. Where are all the loud mouthed eediots on this forum that have always supported this mode of secession? If anyone of you for whatever reason rants Biafra again then it means you're shameless, hypocritical and above all cowards. Out of the 30 million Igbos in Nigeria, there are only 500 brave people. The others can only peep from their homes and cheer on without joining the procession where the dumbest of them can sit in one room in Ibadan typing crap on NL |

@OP, your brothers will never agree with you because they are largely illusioned here on NL If you look at the rate of development of the regions since 1999, you will discover that democracy has brought faster development in the SW and SS while the SE, NE and NW have been largely crawling |
Aigbofa: The hour is near. Long live the Republic of Biafra.Yet another joke but if you can pull it off, it will be the best thing that ever happened to the SW |
You these Igbo people never cease to amaze me with your self conceit and aggrandizement BTW what time are you guys declaring your Biafra Republic tomorrow or it another one of your cheap talks? |
Dark Lover: Any update about this project? LagosiansStill on course. Yorubas never fail at progressive initiatives ![]() And I really can't wait. All the banks and major companies I know have invested in the city and it will have high rise flats and will have working and residential facilities for close to 30 million people, thereby freeing up more space for Lagos's teeming population |
chaircover: I have a couple of questions for the pilots in the house. I hate flying so the more I know about how things work up there, should hopefully help kill this fearDon't agree with the cold and flight over the desert however. You need to fly over the Atlantic and Pacific to see that the temperature over the desert isn't so much different. Although I think the cabins seem to be ironically colder in day flights than night flights |
