CrazyMan: Let's pray it serves its purpose before it malfunctions and kill those firefighters. Why would you hope in one dark corner of your mind that the firefighters die using the most appropriate equipment to fight this fire under the circumstance? ![]() |
Sad occurrence Impressive firefighting equipment |
berem: ode,so your own IQ is what? How can you compare lagos to brooklyn and manhattan? Oh boy no make me laugh this early morning o!Once again, your low intelligence is on display. A business district is a hub of commercial (not agricultural) activities. New York's Wall Street maybe more developed in terms of its infrastructure but it shares similarities with Lagos' Broad Street in terms of their economic importance to the USA and Nigeria respectively |
berem: Omonile don sell land finish for Lagos. Now its time to acquire lands in other states for farming purpose? Not a bad idea afterall.Later when the say the average IQ of Nigerians is 69, you will be arguing. How many farms have you seen in Manhattan or Brooklyn? Lagos State is one big business district with the exception of Epe and Badagry. Oponu |
As usual |
Why not just say tricycles |
When you look at the way our politicians handle some issues as well as some posts on Nairaland, especially that eeediot that said the Yoruba IQ is 70 and the Igbo IQ 103, you can't but agree less with this as a national average. Well personally I've done several IQ tests and my lowest was 115, highest 141. I don't quite agree though that it isn't a measure of intelligence as it is a cognitive test based on a national average. |
cjrane: Laugh ke? you think say i dey fear laugh? ediots wey no fit spell their names don call me slowpoke before here. the matter be say, no naija city reach cape town my brother. make we no insult ourselves dey use yeye words as innovative, indicative, progressive, educative etc. Yeye grammar no fit help hide our failure as a countryOkay now I understand why they've calling you a slowpoke. Blame it on 9ja's falling standard of education |
cjrane: Whether innovative ko, inventive ni, Lagos cannot compete with Capetown PERIOD. xcept for violent crimes and unruly behavior,Lagos cannot surpass Cape town on anything. Shikena!Na wa O! This your reasoning get as e be. There's a difference between INNOVATIVE and BEST. Use a dictionary man and stop being silly instead of having the numerous members and visitors of this community reading this thread, laugh at you |
cjrane: Hmmmmmm, anyone that ranks Cape Town SA behind our Lagos needs to have his head examinedInnovative they said. Innovative! Innovative!! Innovative!!! Not the best. You may want to check out the meaning of the word |
pro01: Mr. Man, it takes sense to recognise sense, so I don't expect much from someone like you. "A government would strive to reduce mortality in any way it can" - by ignoring the biggest sources of mortality (vehicle accidents, poor roads, etc) and inflicting pain on the poor masses? You sure didnt read my post. Over 93 people die in the US in road accidents on the average each day. Once again I put it to you and I need an answer. In your right senses, do you that a taxicycle should be racing on a 100kph highway alongside cars? You don't need sleep but an overdose of IQ. Where on earth do people like these drop from sef? |
pro01: Do you reason in black and white? You need more colour 'upstairs'. If vehicle accidents kill more people - as you have rightly acknowledged - why is it more of a priority to discourage "deaths on Okadas", while also encouraging deaths "on" vehicles? Having said that, since Okadas killm and should therefore be discouraged, why should vehicles be encouraged - even though they also kill many more people than Okadas? Where is the sense in this logic?I seriously don't engage in dull arguments because what you posted doesn't make sense to me in any way. A government wil strive to reduce mortality in any way it can. Don't people die in road accidents in the US and Europe? In the US alone, 93 people die each day in road accidents on the average. And you believe in your right senses that a taxicycle should be racing on a 100kph highway alongside cars? As regards the Facebook, thingy, I will choose to ignore that because its one of the silliest things I've read. Those guys don't need Facebook or any social media platform to have done what they did. |
kkkossy: Dana airline took more than hundred lives in a day, all those crazy truck driver carrying flammable liquid as well. Pls they shud focus on those areas. Lagos is vry populated, they shouldn't compare her with other states.I wonder how some people reason. So because a plane crash killed more people, we should encourage deaths on okadas because it wasn't the biggest killer in Lagos in 2012? What about those that died before now and those that possibly still would in bike accidents? Maybe even someone close to you. I saw the picture of a good looking and promising young man on my friend's blackberry avatar some weeks ago with a display message RIP and when I asked what killed him, my friend said he died in a bike accident on a highway. If the restriction was a month earlier, he probably would have been alive now |
SELFWORTH: You are too slow. Of course, life is of no value in NIGERIA .And what is this supposed to mean? Are you high on something? |
Chartey: kai see heavy lie abeg. Pls be sure of what you post on public fora. Ghana's GDP is 82billion dollars. Bigger than that of Kenya(east africa's leading economy)The GDP of Ghana 2011 was $39.2bn? https://www.google.com/search?q=gdp+of+ghana&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari The GDP of Lagos is over $33bn http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nigerian_states_by_GDP |
pro01: And vehicle accidents killed how many? And how many kidnappings and armed robberies were carried out with vehicles in the same period? How many accidents were caused SOLELY by poor roads and potholes all over the state? These people are oafs of the highest order. It's a crying shame that these re.t.a.rds are allowed to lead us.I wonder how some people reason. So because vehicle accidents, robberies or infant mortality kill more people, we should encourage deaths on okadas because its not the biggest killer of Lagosians? How sad that life has no value in these climes. I saw the picture of a good looking and promising young man on my friend's blackberry avatar some weeks ago with a display message RIP and when I asked what killed him, my friend said he died in a bike accident on a highway. If the restriction was a month earlier, he probably would have been alive now |

The Igbo cowardice is legendary |
What's the update now? Where are we on this project? Recent pictures please. Thanks |
Its his prerogative to contest and mine not to vote for him if there's a better candidate |
alj harem: Trust me, I don't want some eastern idddiot shouting that Yorubas and Hausas are stealing all their refinery. Let them have their refinery.Well Lagos is planning one for the Lekki Free Trade Zone. Besides Lagos, Ogun and Ondo are oil bearing states and why should we wait for the FG to build when they can't manage the ones they already have effectively |
achi4u: "maybe living in Lekki or Vi"?,who dash monkey banana?Don't live in Lekki or VI but Ikoyi precisely. Does that increase your frustration now? Pray it does |
berem: buhahahaha! You can't remember the last time you saw molue abi? Yeah because you live in Lekki or VI! Abeg go to oshodi,Iyana Ipaja and Orile you go see Molue for there yanfu yanfu! Even with the presence of BRT buses, Lagosians still patronize Molue buses.I dey laff o!I won't say there aren't molue buses in those areas but the question is. Are they as common or popular as they used to be? I've not seen any in like two years now and I've been to many other places in Lagos outside where I live and work (Ikeja, Apapa, Omole, Surulere) where I used to see molues way back but now I've not come across any in over 2 years now. Over 2 years |
alj harem: In reality no refinery would be built. So Ohaneze don't stress yourselves. Although if any would eventually be built then Ohaneze is right because SE is an Oil producing region (Imo, anambra and abia). Lagos does not need a refinery, I am a lagosian.Lagos doesn't need a refinery? So it's Kaduna that does right? Tell me which state in Nigeria has the most demand for refined petroleum products? |
Yours GEJ,:What's Igbo kwenu? Another brand of marijuana You don't rule, don't bring in the ideas or the money so .... |
Photoshopped to completion now. lol |
kennytidistar: [geeez]My 7yr old niece knows the clear difference between a law and a decree. No one just wakes up to pass laws without subjecting it to a process. If your bike has been destroyed unjustly or you believe so strongly that the government of Lagos has done wrong, you can seek legal redress. That is why it's a law. Your senselessness is very nauseating I swear |
iamjustsassy: . Mumu U̶̲̥̅̊ it can never happen in a yoruba gathering bt what U̶̲̥̅̊'l find there is pple fighting over food in a burial ceremony or jobless area boys begging money by hailing successful igboIf an Igbo governor can fight over a seat, what else can't they fight over? Kidnapping revenue, robbery booty, ritual body parts. The list is endless |
Mr. Globe:You see it on TV. I live here man. How dumb of you. Because you've seen videos of Henry Ford's cars driving the streets doesn't necessarily mean they still ply those streets. How dumb Do you at all know what a dump site means? The space between your ears seem more like it |
*yawns* |
polokor60: what will happen to the siezed okadas that were destroyed by the lagos state government without the backing order from the court of law?Are you a lawyer? Okay I presume you aren't but I will assume for the sake of this argument that you are learned. You may want to read the traffic law and see for yourself if the destruction was in violation of the law. |
Mr. Globe:Can't remember the last time I saw a molue on the streets of Lagos. You must be hallucinating and even if they exist, they can't be up to a tenth if what I grew up knowing in the late eighties and nineties |
