Wily,Wily:

All Yoruba are not the same, Mimiko is not a Thief like Tinubu, Western Yorubas love for Ondo people today is because of their oil money,
Western Yorubas made sure that Akure was not developed, they suppressed Ondo people but thank God for helping Ondo people and gave them a good governor Mimiko today Akure is a better place.
This Thief called Tinubu and APC eye are on Ondo Oil money, but Mimiko gave them knock out,

My friend shut up

There is no such thing as western or eastern Yoruba

There's only one Yoruba nation

We are one people and are no different from each other

If you have evidence that Tinubu has stolen, present it to your Uncle GEJ and let him do the needful. After all he's in the opposition and one thing you are in opposition with is common sense

Crime / Man Sells Own Baby To Fund Father's Funeral by geeez: 1:31pm On Dec 20, 2013
The police in Abia State have arrested a 26-year-old man for selling his baby boy for N260, 000 in order to foot the burial expenses of his father.

Kinsley Ubani from Umunkpeyi in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area was arrested for selling the baby, born to him by his live-in lover, Chioma Onu.
He was among scores of child traffickers paraded yesterday by the police in Umuahia.

Another suspected child trafficker, Chimere Sunday alias Boyoyo from Umuojima Ogbu in Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area, was also arrested and paraded for allegedly selling his two children in collaboration with two female suspects, Mrs. Uloaku Chinweuba and Mrs. Ugochi Alozie.

Aside from the child traffickers, 19 pregnant teenagers rescued from a baby factory at Umuobia Olokoro were also paraded.

The girls, in various stages of pregnancy, whose ages range from 15 to 23 years, were rescued from Nma Charity Home where they were being kept and fed until they deliver their babies for sale to prospective buyers.

In a swift reaction, the state task force on environment and allied matters demolished the baby factory at Olokoro, making it the second time such a facility would be demolished in less than two weeks.

Ezuma Hospital in Aba was similarly demolished on December 7 for being used as a baby factory.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Usman Tilli Abubakar, who addressed journalists on the activities of the police in checking crime over the past five months, said Ubani was arrested based on a tip-off from some neighbours.

He also said the proprietress of the charity home, Mrs. Nma Achumba, was originally running her charity home at Umunkpeyi, which she converted to a baby factory and four months ago, she was said to have relocated to Olokoro where she had been operating secretly before a raid on her facility on December 12.

Abubakar said when the police raided the illegal charity home at about 5a.m., following a tip-off, the proprietress had escaped but her son, Uche Ohuabunwa and his wife Tina, who were in charge of taking care of the pregnant girls, were arrested.

Speaking with journalists, Ubani admitted selling his baby boy, who was about four years old, for N260, 000, adding that he was compelled to do so last November in order to raise funds to bury his father.

He added that the body of his father had been lying in the mortuary for 18 months and his siblings were not showing interest in the burial plans hence he resorted to selling his baby to raise money for the burial ceremony.

^^^But what the guy said is exactly what they've been doing since the 70s till the coming of GEJ.......locating almost everything in their region to the detriment of other industrial/commercial centres in other regions! He's just expressing the mindset that has been the norm for decades so i don't know why you're surprised!

Who are the they?

Nissan is building its plant in Lagos while Toyota will partner with Elizade to establish an assembly plant in Ondo. Then Ogun will pull Honda through banking on its proximity to Lagos. I'm not prophesying, predicting or soothsaying but it's what I know and it's based on the information that I have

Generally, companies will move to places where the following are guaranteed:

1. The Market (The SW currently has the highest per capita)
2. Security (The SW remains the most secure for FDIs)
3. Infrastructure (Lagos has a viable port and the SW states are well connected to the rest of Nigeria)
4. Manpower (Very much in abundance in the SW)

Western Yorubas used to suppress Ondo people, they conspired and make sure Akure was not developed, but today every thing have Changed, God have answered the prayer of Ondo people, Akure is now a better place thanks to God forgiven then Gov Mimiko, Ekiti people should open their eye and listen to their brother Mimiko.

What is this one saying?

Which one is western and eastern Yorubas?

Yorubas never had the outcast culture like you guys have

There's no Yoruba clan that is more important than the other

Yorubas don't vote parties, on sentiments, or blindly

We vote based on proven pedigree and pragmatically achievable promises

You must be stewpid for bringing this up

And who made you spokesperson for the Ondo or Ekiti people

And why take Viagra for a Yorubaman's impotence?

If your rabid thoughts ever cross the shaky Niger Bridge again ...

gratiea, i'm not a member of PDP nor a Fan of GEJ, but I believed he is going to finish second Niger bridge before 2017

And if he doesn't, there's absolutely nothing you can do

2017 will be his second term, should he ever get re-elected

And even more so by then, we may have regional structures in the country

So it's up to you to build it, later or never

For me, it's not about which party wins

It's about how well the candidate performs given the chance

Yorubas will not tolerate mediocrity

Personally, I think JKF has done a good job

Lagos as an area is bigger than Onitsha as an area

The SE is densely populated because the landmass is small. Barely larger than Oyo State alone

If you think those are the biggest projects, then you haven't checked out the Lagos-Badagry Expressway

You also haven't seen the Eko Atlantic

Neither have you seen roads spanning hundreds of kilometers in Ogun State

Politics / LAWMA Signs Mou With Private Firm On Waste Recycling by geeez: 8:13am On Dec 19, 2013
The Lagos Waste Management Authority, LAWMA, has signed a memorandum of understanding, MoU, with Alkem Nigeria Limited, a private company involved in PET bottles recycling.

Speaking at the signing of the pact in Lagos, the Managing Director of LAWMA, Mr.Ola Oresanya, said that the MoU signing signified the formalisation of partnership between the authority and Alkem.

Oresanya noted that the partnership would have a positive impact on the LAWMA’s ongoing campaign to sanitise the state of used PET bottles.

According to him, the partnership would boost the culture of waste sorting and recycling, which the authority had been spearheading in recent times.

The partnership entails the establishment, operation and maintenance of a PET bottle collection and baling Centre at Olusosun recycling village (the project site) by Alkem Nigeria Limited.

Managing Director of Alkem, Mr. Ravi Chanrai lauded the management of LAWMA for the opportunity to formalise their relationship to ensure effective waste collection in the state.

Chanrai commended the authority for its efforts to rid Lagos of wastes which he said are detrimental to human health.
Considering the space required to contain the over 10,000 cubic meter of waste generated daily in Lagos and the in-elasticity of the landfill sites, LAWMA commenced the recycling initiative in the state through massive public enlightenment and discounting the amount paid for the evacuation of sorted wastes.

To this end, the authority established a nylon buyback programme, recycling banks, the compost facility in Ikorodu, (in collaboration with Earthcare), collection of PET, aluminum cans, cardboard and other materials.

No need to pull out stats from your azz to make yourself feel good, the fact that you are celebrating a bunch of expatriates coming to do some surgical procedures that have been indigenously performed in the 70s says it all.

Well the expats will work in places where the facilities are available

Not in theaters where they have to dip their patients in dirty water

ba7man: Man!!!....I'm still in shock at the pics of the peeps in that Healing pool.

That's one of the grimiest things I've seen in my life.

One of the works of nature powered by erosion has become a shrine of sorts

You can imagine how dirty the water will be and with all sorts of secretions inside it

And yet people will still troop there to fetch the water and bottle as Cough Syrup, Paracetamol, Septrin etc

I won't be surprised if one finds its way into the 2x2 'chemist' store owned by Sunny Bobo

While progressive people are building hospitals, others are discovering streams
