This Transcorp has been giving us this hope since forever. It will definitely do well but I guess only when the movers are ready.

ositadima1:
Have you checked Transcorp? Fundamentally, ₦70 to ₦80 is possible, or even more.

Oh thanks. I plan to read through the audited report over holiday weekend. It appears they have changed their initial plans for capital raise without issuing new shares.

KarlTom:
Material Uncertainty Related To Going Concern. Pg 11 AFS '24

"As stated in the note, if the planned actions including ₦360 billion equity raise are successful, it will only address 11.4% and 8.4% of the Group's projected funding gap for the year ending 31 December 2025 and 2026 respectively. Management however has additional plans to address the 88.6% and 91.6% of the projected working capital deficiency for the two years through vendor financing until such a time that profit and healthy cash flows from profitable operations will be achieved. Management is also currently making efforts to sign a binding agreement with each prospective equity provider.

The Directors/majority shareholders of Oando PLC had given a Letter of Guarantee to inject additional capital through Rights issue, and Public offer in addition to commitment to convene an Extraordinary General Meeting of the shareholders to address the urgent capital requirement in line with the Provision of Section 137 of Companies and Allied Matters Act. 2020 and the Directors fiduciary responsibilities and commitment to address the financial conditions of the Company.

However, there is material uncertainty about the success and timing of the additional plans including the bond and equity raises given that the projected funding gap continues to worsen over the years..."

Before and from the outcome of the last AGM, they made it very clear that they are not coming to the market to raise funds. They mentioned bonds and similar financial instruments but not equity.

KarlTom:
grin

They are likely going to raise funds.

There is this blossoming palm plantation on the Ore Benin expressway. That thing is massive and it is young. You drive several minutes and you're still within its viscinity. I do not know who the owner is oo but I use that road almost every forthnight.

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeeKudi: 1:01pm On May 30, 2025
There is this grand illusion among the Nigerian populace that Nigeria is rich. No! We are not revenue rich for our large population. It is only a pity that the ruling class has also chosen profligacy as a way of life helping to foster this illusion of wealth. With our current level of revenue generation, we cannot develop without borrowing.

Caveat: this post is not a support for the current borrowing plan. I'm not sure if the current administration is prudent enough to be the one borrowing for our development.

Mpeace:
If so, then the borrowing should have slowed down now that the subsidy is gone but the reverse is the case.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeeKudi: 9:11am On May 29, 2025
Maybe an indication that their trees are indeed fruiting?

KarlTom:
In summary:

Revenue, from sale of produce, increased from ₦18.96m in Q ending 31 January to ₦68.73m in Q ending 30 April.

Someone gave a pointer that this increase in sales revenue implies that the palms are fruiting.
All that is left for SP take off is the commencement of milling... smiley

- You bought Champion after the Qualification Date (QD) of 11th May. So, you didn't qualoify for their dividend
- QD for Betaglass is June 17. If you hold till then, you'd qualify for their dividend.
- If truely you have been holding NAHCO since the date you quoted, you should have recived their dividend. I got mine. Are you sure it wasn't deposited into your account without alert. You should check and contact their registrar if indeed you didn't get it.
- Presco's QD is in July. So, you need to hold it further if you want to get their dividend.
- I'm not sure if Chams has declared dividend in recent time.

Hope these help.
[Modified] You should also fill the dividend e-mandate form online. The registrars will automatically pick your details from there for payment of dividends anytime you have them.

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeeKudi: 6:28pm On May 23, 2025
The case is both sensitive and sensational. Leave Fidelity and CBN to handle the sensitivity part of it. The sensational angle is a new "cocoa tree" for media houses; they are in business for a thing like this. Your emotions is none of their concern. However, when you try to invite politics into the discussion, trust the Nigerian social space, you'd see ethinicity, religion etc strolling in to the room in a clear case of negligence by a coorporate entity.

Picky1:
Bros, you are getting it wrong!
No one is saying they should not do their jobs but they should do it well.
Let the reporters or whatever they call themselves be objective and stay on the truth especially for sensitive stories that have greater implications for the economy - quoting unknown sources is bs!
FIDELITY have handled the case with sincerity of purpose and maturity.
I come in peace!! cool
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeeKudi: 5:38pm On May 23, 2025
This is a defeatist mentality and doesn't sound right at all. When did this case start? You mean these implied "enemies" of Fidelity bank made them sell a property against existing court order? They also hipnotised Fidelity Bank to allow the case get to the Supreme Court even after admitting wrong doings at the lower courts? Why is it so difficult to stay on the material points on an issue without spinning lazy conspiracies?
If you were Sagecom "or Sagemcom", wouldn't you have done like ten thansgivings already? but you want them to just let go because you think they are being instigated?
No matter how you look at it, a case like this is a big news material for media houses anywhere in the world and they are going to milk the case dry. The good thing is that the market has a mind of its own and we just have to see how it all plays out.

Picky1:
Wish they know the implications of what they are doing - something that can devastate the whole economy!
FIDELITY is not a one man business, employs many people across the nation making money for shareholders!!
Not much is known about this Sagecom or is it Sagemcom.....how many naija employees do they have?
Naija fake news reporters/immature politicians don't think at all and it's a shame cool

What exactly is Cardinal Stone doing? They hold on to people's money and wait for them to email first before paying. i have never had to worry my head about dividend. What do they seek to achieve by putting people through unnecessary stress?
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeeKudi: 8:17am On May 23, 2025
