The comapny is probably Universally popular?

megawealth01:
I've been buying an INSURANCE COY since this MAY... I don't know if I should say the name or not...

This INSURANCE COY was amongst the first insurance stocks I got in 2008 with my former broker MAYFIELD... I might call the name soon but not now...

And for those that will be in a hurry to ask for the name, it's not your everyday insurance COY

All my INSURANCE stocks in the past still with me after I've got out my CAPITAL but you see this particular COY I have never sold a single unit from it. I just look for a cool entry and load more

But, PG said they got the gist from a source in the bank and Fidelity itself just openly flouted that order with their press release today.

KarlTom:
The bolded is where the issue lies:

"Consequently, the Bank has applied to the Court for a clarification and inquiry into the proper interpretation of the judgment and the computation of the actual quantum properly and lawfully payable by G.Cappa and the Bank.
The Court has accordingly ordered Sagecom to maintain status quo pending the determination of pending motions and restrained Sagecom and all persons from publishing any material in the media as the matter is still pending in court.
The implication of this order is that the instant publication by People Gazette and any other media platform or persons, contain false information and is wrongful, unlawful and constitute a contempt of court..."

This appears to be a potentially very big trouble for Fidelity.

A testament that prayers get answered anyway! Let me look for money and hang on to the prayers of Ellah prayer warriors grin grin grin

Streetinvestor2:
@ zendi
I share the optimism on Ellah o, abeg, and I have booked a seat in the bus since I don't want to be left out when the trumpet shall sound. But it is by this level audacity that some people test the depth of a river with two feet.

When the trumpet shall sound. Two things are involved
1 Some will be rejoicing
2. Some will be crying

For me, I no go buy stock that will become prayer topic again. The last one was IB.
Thank God the prayer has been answered..lol

When you present a piece this much in a single paragraph, you make it unattractive to the eyes.

Mankind2024:
I asked Mr. KOOK (The Keeper Of Odd Knowledge), aka GROK, to investigate the connections between the following entities: DEAP Capital, DVCF O&G, and TIP.

DEAP Capital Management & Trust Plc, The Initiates Plc (TIP), and DVCF Oil & Gas Plc are connected through corporate ownership and shareholding relationships, primarily within the Nigerian financial and oil and gas sectors. Here’s a breakdown of their relationships based on available information:DEAP Capital Management & Trust Plc and DVCF Oil & Gas Plc:DVCF Oil & Gas Plc is a major subsidiary of DEAP Capital Management & Trust Plc. DEAP Capital, a Nigeria-based financial services company operating in the capital market, mortgage banking, and oil and gas sectors, includes DVCF Oil & Gas Plc among its key subsidiaries, alongside Resort Securities & Trust Limited and Resort Savings & Loans Limited. This indicates that DEAP Capital has a controlling interest or significant ownership in DVCF Oil & Gas Plc, which focuses on project management and venture capital services in the oil and gas sector, serving multinational oil corporations and government-sponsored enterprises.DVCF Oil & Gas Plc and The Initiates Plc (TIP):DVCF Oil & Gas Plc is a substantial shareholder in The Initiates Plc (TIP), a waste management and industrial cleaning company listed on the Growth Board of the Nigerian Exchange (NGX). As of June 30, 2020, DVCF Oil & Gas Plc held 332,174,967 shares, representing 36.91% of TIP’s issued share capital, making it the largest shareholder at that time.DVCF Oil & Gas Plc has been actively involved in trading TIP shares. For example, in December 2023, it sold 9,468,900 units of its TIP shareholding for approximately N10.131 million across three transactions at prices of N1.06, N1.07, and N1.08 per share. Earlier that month, it sold 1.7 million units at N1.15 per share.Additionally, DVCF increased its equity stake in TIP as reported in September 2020, further solidifying its position as a major shareholder.DEAP Capital Management & Trust Plc and The Initiates Plc:There is no direct ownership or subsidiary relationship explicitly stated between DEAP Capital and The Initiates Plc. However, their connection is indirect through DVCF Oil & Gas Plc, which is a subsidiary of DEAP Capital and a major shareholder in TIP. This creates a hierarchical relationship where DEAP Capital indirectly influences TIP through its ownership of DVCF Oil & Gas Plc.Summary:DEAP Capital is the parent company of DVCF Oil & Gas Plc, which is one of its major subsidiaries.DVCF Oil & Gas Plc is a significant shareholder in The Initiates Plc, holding a substantial equity stake (36.91% as of June 2020) and actively trading TIP shares. The relationship between DEAP Capital and The Initiates Plc is indirect, mediated through DVCF Oil & Gas Plc’s shareholding in TIP.This structure reflects a typical corporate hierarchy where a financial services group (DEAP Capital) extends its influence into specialized sectors like oil and gas (via DVCF) and waste management (via DVCF’s stake in TIP).

Hopefully, the "marvelous thing" has to do with the company's debt burden. That's the only news that can move the stock substantially IMO.

If you dig deeper, you would realize that your average is faulty. What you call average is an extreme minority who by the liberalization of the social space through social media now holds the microphone. They are mostly empty. Go to X (Twitter) and verify grin.

RodgersAkpafu:
I said the average

I didn't say all Nigerians
The 50th percentile downwards are definitely intellectually challenged

Maybe you deserve the attacks. Lol
Nigerians are not unintelligent, it is your statistics that is skewed. You've been listening to the worst among us, who unfortunately, are the ones who have seized the social voice.

RodgersAkpafu:
I am one of those guys lol
Who have made that argument about (an average) Nigerian being unintelligent
And that came with attacks but I stood my ground

I feel you 💯
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeeKudi: 12:26pm On May 05, 2025
If you say so, but you see, they are usually the loudest in the society especially on social media these days. They mostly lack depth about a subject matter and yet, they are everywhere with opinions. When you see people come here to say Nigerians are unintelligent, it is sometimes difficult to argue with them because the people they hear most, I mean those who have appropriated the social space to themselves to speak on behalf of the populace are largely the worst of us. They lack tact, they are crass and classless and yet they are the loudest.

RodgersAkpafu:
Misguided people
I think that's what I'll call them

Why do people keep asking a question like this? You already said 6th is the qualification date, why do you need someone to validate today for you again? It is just straight forward! If you buy on or before close of business on the QD, you get it.

That thing is not working. You type the name and nothing happens. What are they looking for that they can't get from our cscs details?

mikeapollo:
Yes. I got mine via email
It means you should provide your CHN and Oando shareholder number so they can credit your account with the shares.
Just type in your surname and click ''search'....it will bring out all names that have similar surname, and then you can click on your own name (with your Oando shareholder number) and continue from there. If you have difficulty, then call or visit First Registrars at Iganmu, Lagos
