That would be nice, although, would have preferred I have more units than I currently hold. Somebody should tell OANDO that it is being left behind. Raider76: I believe this is the start of the rally. It is not coming back. |

Mehn! I resisted the urge to sell AIICO yesterday. The bid depth on that stock is scary. I think it will continue to go up. |

Might come back to that range or even below after the current euphoria. I observed similar thing with AFRIPRUD. They brought it down to #9 to kick start the current sweet run. Sunrisepebble: Thats my own Valuation for the stock also. If not that i'm currently diverting funds to NAHCO and Vitafoam, I would have picked when it dipped to N43/44 |

That's what I observed since it started moving yesterday. It will do full bid, but may not be sustained for long. The ongoing MTO offer is still on till 10th Jan. I believe they will want to conclude everything about that at least, before thinking of the real movement. Sunrisepebble: The Volume does not look like anything extraordinary yet. When Tony comes to move it, im sure we'll know |

I am not sure it is ready for the expected run yet. It appears that the people who pulled money from insurance stocks yesterday are the ones disturbing TRANSCORP from its state of inertia. But, whatever the case, it's all well and good. lostinHeaven: Transcorp about to go on full bid |

Cornerstone actually have good numbers and I believe, still remains undervalued. The only concern I have with it is the large OS as with almost all the insurance stocks. emmaodet: Nahco is good at current price. I just got a margin loan from ucap to buy more Nahco tomorrow. Nahco, wapco, gtco, Access, Uba, ucap, Okomu, Presco, Zenith are my long-time stocks in my portfolio. I am currently rebalancing my portfolio and dropping prestige, probably cornerstone too. Noticed so many frauds or magomago full insurance sector which i will like to avoid. I will send Prestige report in the next 1 week here |

Merci beaucoup ! Sunrisepebble: I don’t have a price target/fair value yet for NAHCO to be honest. My source has marketed it to me for almost two years now. My first entry was at 44.85 and hoping I can solidify the position well below that level but it doesn’t seem to be slowing down at the moment. Based on watching their facts behind the figures and some analysis that was done here with @emmaodet and pa Emma using the revenue projection of the firm for next five years. I think it’s still a buy. Revenue is indexed to USD but paid in naira and they’ve recently started earning revenue from a new contract with Emirates after they came back to Nigeria which I think should show in Q4 results. I think there’s also a pending court case for them to get concession to manage the international airports
From the analysis of FY 24, the projection was that they could pay a potential N5 dividend which is a 10% yield. Similar to the Tier 1 banks
RE: FBNH, the div yield is too low for me
Looks like a good one to me. But wouldn’t rush to buy it |

Well done boss. Wish you bountiful harvest this year. Got some Mansard towards the end of last year. Still holds some WAPCO and will be looking out for opportunities to pick more in anticipation of the final execution of the deal. I sighted this NAHCO aroung July last year when I started this business but didn't have the funds to go in then. I was pained when I later saw it rising non stop. Do you seriously advise on it at the current price? Will also look at its book. F is missing in your banks acronyms. With the ongoing governance/management shake up from Otedola, I think First Bank will do well but we may need to wait till after the dilution. Sunrisepebble: While one can make money from them, I personally do not own any Insurance stock outside Mansard and if I’m to jump into any other it’ll be AIICO.
I’ve started buying my mid to long term stocks in NAHCO and Vitafoam at the tail end of last year and will continue to do so at attractive entry points throughout the year.
I still hold large positions in UGAZ, Aradel, Seplat, Total and WAPCO, of which I’m hearing our deal should near completion by the end of Q1 this year.
I wish us all the best in 2025 and of course, I’ll be on hand for any early information
Those that are not millionaires, I pray that you become millionaires in this new year. Those of us that are millionaires and multimillionaires, I pray that we become billionaires in this new year |

Why TRANSCORP? The MTO (only 2.5 million units) will be executed at #42.95 + the stipulated premium. I am not sure this is an enough reason to cause a bull. KarlTom: Today and tomorrow
Likely bulls from: - Lafarge Q3 AFS - OandO Corporate Announcement (bonus ratio) - MRS x DANGREFINE - PZ - UBA RI closing - TRANSCORP (and affiliated coys)

Let him be already. mikeapollo: Go and read your own post. It was about Oando, not Aradel! If you say there is nothing or good advice that he can offer, how and what does it mean to you? I don’t know if there was another meeting where the issue of cash was discussed, but at the AGM which I followed online, there was no discussion whatsoever if shareholders would prefer money to the anticipated shares. The phrase “or cash equivalent” was mentioned by the attendee who raised the amendment to the initial motion and the motioned was adopted. From my understanding, it was only a matter of framing a legal sentence when the mover said “the distributed shares or its cash equivalent”. I don’t think this should bother anyone at all as to form a topic here. And in any case, if there is the concern that the board of directors may want to exploit this phrased as contained in the resolution to pay cash in lieu of the anticipated shares, where would they get the money from? And, who will inherit the retrieved shares if this is done? Have you guys forgotten that the shares are being retrieved as payment from a debtor shareholder who couldn’t settle his debt with cash? Or, have we forgotten that OANDO itself is under some massive debts? If they have the cash to dash out so freely, why wouldn’t they use the money to at least settle part of the debt. Cash settlement is not an issue at all and I don’t know where the people raising the topic here are getting it from. mikeapollo: If is it true that shareholders actually expressed preference for cash payment, then it shows how shareholders could sometimes undermine their own interest. What was the value or price that was agreed or placed on each share? So what happens if Oando management adopts a particular value per share to pay cash to the shareholders and then the share price on the NGX jumps higher the following day or week? |

Wale said at the AGM that the drive is to be the major force in "onshore, swamp and shallow water crude production". Raider76: Oando will not go into exploration, which is costly and risky. They prefer buying ready made assets, or buying cheap government assets. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeeKudi: 1:09pm On Dec 19, 2024 |
It's an illusion but the illusion lends weight to how easy the stock price can move. With the "less" expensive share, price movement is easier compared to the "more" expensive stock. Sunrisepebble: I’ve never understood this “more” expensive thing before, is it because with smaller share prices you get more units which gives the illusion of greater gains? 500k in Oando and 500k in Aradel is the same exact thing if they both move up by 10%, regardless of number of units held.
I had friends who I marketed Aradel to everyday from #5k pre-split and they didn’t buy because it was also “too expensive” but they later bought at the split price of #517 (#10k), not knowing they’d have got more units buying it at #5k |

I am not particularly sure there is anyone here who wants to listen to you to make investment decision. You say it white this moment , the next moment you change the colour to black. If you want to speak, don't spread falsehood. There was never and there has not been any sell off after the AGM. Like I said, we will all be here to read a totally dofferent line of postulations from you sooner than later. designking: I swear... Wale run AGM, investors hit am with massive selloff.
Many felt investors didn't interprete the messages from the AGM properly but the truth is that investors are indifferent about this Oando. They are not just interested at the moment.
Even with the great ENI AGIP assets they acquired, they can't still raise the company from it ashes. The management team at Oando are politicians.
Aradel share price was seriously hit after listing on the NGX but they never ran to the media to weep up sentiment to sure up their share price. They maintained their cool and focused on growing their brand and today, they are back on winning ways. |
