Back in March I was involved in an accident with my cousin who was the one driving, it so happened that we noticed this just after we've crossed the Nigerian border to Cotonou, the car was shaking excessively that we had to park and check the tires and other things thrice, but saw nothing..

We passed 3 roundabouts already, after passing the 4th roundabout a tyre got burst, and the car lost total control and poo hit the roof, my life typically flashed before my eyes, we landed safely while eye witness told us we spinned 5 times in the air.. luckily we both came out without a scratch, even though I wasn't putting on a seatbelt..

I still don't know what happened till this moment

You can stay there undisturbed for as long as you can, reasons are;
1) You don't go to Nigerian hotspots, avoid it like a plague
2) You don't stay in the town
3) You're not the type that stays at home all through the day.
4)No loud music.
5)Be wary of the citizens, they can be cunny.

Abide by these and live happily.

I doubt the authenticity of this news. Gendarmerie aren't like Nigerian police. They don't arrest us indiscriminately. They treat us with respect (even though they show us their true colours when we overdo things).

Oga, it's like you don't stay in the town, gendermerie were like that before all these things started, but these days they can just stop you at anytime, and once they noticed you can't speak their language and worst of all you're a Nigerian, you're definitely going to jail, and after 3 days, you're transferred to the prison.
