My brother are corper doctors paid a higher allowance than others by NYSC ?.. NO! The reason why ALL health graduates are given preferential treatment in camp is because they render FREE services at the camp clinic. Imagine how much they are saving NYSC in terms of cost of employing doctors, nurses, pharmacists to run the clinics. The PPA's pay call duty allowances for work done after official closing hours some LGA's pay more to attract doctors to rural areas. Also the demand for corper doctors far exceeds supply especially in rural areas. Employers even come to camp to lobby for a doctor to be posted to them. Lastly all degrees no be the same oh! There is something special about the BACHELOR OF MEDICINE AND BACHELOR OF SURGERY that is difficult to explain. You have to experience the process of getting that degree to understand what I mean!!

chike, you can set up a practice. depends on wer its located, it has to be a place wer people appreciate that kind of service, there is insurance but not to efficient. i am a surgeon too hope to go in to private practice soon. mail me on diamondboy70@yahoo.com
