obiekunie01: I don't think it's about being stupid. If the kid is not in danger, it's okay to salvage those meat as well...lol Kids are very adventurous and will always want to experiment. They climb alot. Parents just always have to be on the lookout so they don't get into dangerous situations However, sometimes they can slip off your care no matter how careful you are. For this case, I'll have to get the kid to wash off with some warning and smacking. I believe accidents do happen and it's important to stay calm, patient, and supportive when helping little ones navigate mishaps like this. It's a great opportunity to teach them about resilience and problem-solving! 1 Like |

Why do we have different bands categories since the people are metered. Wether they get power or not, they pay according to the readings on the meter. Same applies to postpaid. There's no sense in separating it |

Religion / Re: Living Faith Church Wukari, Taraba State Building Collapsed! by GenderMix: 9:39am On Mar 31 |
The cause of the collapse is very simple Using wood as roof trusses to span such depth requires structural beams either made of concrete or steel...This is completely absent and that's why the wood roof trusses caved in. The solution would have been to use steel roof trusses because they can span great lengths. Ofcourse with a structural engineer advise. It is very unfortunate how we underestimate the involvement of professionals in this part of the world. RIP to the dead 1 Like 1 Share |

jamesversion: I get your point and it's valid. Grace is a huge factor in anything. So even if a man starts from a mansion, there is no guarantee that he'll remain there forever, he can still drop to a smaller apartment. So my point is for ladies to focus on ambition and plans .... some stages in life are Temporal. Life is a bit dynamic . What if the comfort you initially crave disappears after the wedding? I have a lady relation who always boasts about the kind of man she'll marry- one that is Rich, with at least a car etc... Those days I used to laugh it off. Initial the man she married had a car etc but Today the man she's married to does not have those things -cars , no job. One has to be careful so you don't jump over what nature has prepared for you and end up in fire 3 Likes |

verybadmouth: This is beyond planting. The hardship Nigerians are facing is majorly artificial and caused by leadership failure. These so called leaders are feeding fat off Nigerians, pushing the poor to the wall. Nigerians must rise up in unison(that's if there can be unity of purpose) and call their bluffs. As long as they keep pampering the politicians and waiting for things to allign in their favour, the more the future is becoming bleak. From 1960 till date, nothing has changed. Nigerians stop fooling around. Chase these guys out and take your country back. It will not be easy, lives will be lost but it's a struggle worth sacrificing for if at all you need to see a change in your life time 2 Likes 1 Share |

ibechris: Lol.... Let the politicians give the poor Nigerians that same qty of beans , they will still sell their votes. Nigerians don't know what they want yet. Maybe it's this hunger that'll lead to the revolution they've always been avoiding. There is no magic around this, you must hold your leaders accountable. You have to forcefully take what is yours. I'm only putting it mildly. 2 Likes |
Family / Re: Can You Advise Someone To Marry In This Room by GenderMix: 12:31am On Mar 09 |
It looks small. Every man wants the best for himself but not all can afford their dream and that doesn't mean he's a failure or should be deprived of marriage if he's willing. People start small especially those that try to cut their clothes according to their cloth. Any forward thinking man with good ambition can marry In this room, nothing wrong. Mine was worse than this . Lol.... I had a plan, and i was lucky to marry a lady with common sense and beauty for that matter. Funnily, we didn't spend up to 3 years in a rented apartment before we built our house. Today , some of our rooms are empty because the house bigger than our number. We have a well furnished garden where the kids can play. Today we are on our 3rd house in my state. See we are less than 40yrs. Sometimes it's good for ladies to be humble and just focus on ambition. Every other thing will fall in place with time. Looking at colours or shape of cotton is absolutely childish and misleading. We all have a choice anyways. I am not here to brag but to encourage young people who are keeping the focus. A critical questions the lady should ask is 'What am I bringing to the table' Cheers 141 Likes 13 Shares |
Family / Re: Whom Should A Woman Listen To First? by GenderMix: 5:19pm On Mar 06 |
We need to understand that in marriage, the husband is responsible for the safety and security of all family members including the wife. So his decision is very important especially in this instance of travelling far. Although we don't know the circumstances surrounding him saying NO. However, some travels are not really expedient especially in this case where we have video calls. If the movement is of no economic value then the wife should apply common sense and obey the husband. Ultimately, if the wife is wise, she should obey the husband and look for other approaches to convince the man on a later date if it's important to her. Any reasonable husband knows that it's good for himself and wife to visit his wife's people once in a while especially the parents. It's just normal |

1Sharon: Not long distant errands. You can actually see the shop from my gate. For cooking, we feel the earlier she learns , the better. I believe by 8 or 9 she should be good enough to handle basic cooking. It is for her own good. 13 is also good too but better to expose them earlier to cooking |

1Sharon: lol at the bold I have a 6 year old girl that is washing dishes and learning how to cook. It has nothing to do with laziness our part as parents but training. She is properly supervised. Sometimes we also send her deliberately on errands to shops close by to get stuffs. These are just soft skills kids need to make them smarter. It has nothing to do with poverty or laziness. 2 Likes 1 Share |

1Sharon: @Sharon, there are lots of kids 5yrs, 6yrs+ at that age doing wonders. If you watch food Network, you'll see how these kids display the talents and when you hear their stories, most of them learnt from their parents and grandparents. @jewessgratitude is absolutely spot on . Kids need to learn early and organically too. This applies to boys and girls. For me , I think it's better to learn the basics from parents or any adult close by before embarking on skills from social media . Nothing can replace traditional methods. 1 Like |

immortalcrown: I couldn't agree more with you. Some men are not straightforward and realistic. You create false hope for a woman just to get her to marry you and then when reality dawns you begin to act like she doesn't love you. I had a friend who was always booking flight for his girlfriend then just to prove a point to her. This is someone i was earning more than. If you take away flight ticket, whats left would not really make impact. Borrowed money to organize wedding and all that. The the begining of problem because the woman will surely expect more when she gets into his house. What are you impressing a woman for? 25 Likes 3 Shares |

You "Christians" here are highly dishonest people. The discrepancy here is just so glaring that any reasonable individual would own up to the mistake. It seems to me that this is a Nigerian thing. Little wonder you look at the country with all the years of prayers ,the country never progresses because the people are mainly insincere religious bigots. The painful part is when you try to be logical with them, they start abusing you or calling you derogatory names. Really pathetic. I always say it that the moment i try to do business with anyone and the person mentions "I am a pastor or Christian" to prove his/her capacity, I see that as a red flag and discontinue the business relationship. 1 Like |

Very interesting Topic. I have never been a fan of working late. Although during my early career days before I got married , I usually sacrifice extra work hours to meet up with deadlines. A lady was my boss then. On a particular day when I got drenched in rain to meet up resumption and I realized that my boss never cared and i had asked for a raise earlier. I just went to my desk , drafted a resignation letter and off i went. She begged me afterwarsd but i refused. In the new office, i made up my mind never to commit an extra time except it is extremely important. I resumed the normal time and close exactly 5pm ensuring that i finish all tasks for the day. I made it clear to my male boss that i value my family over anything and he respects that. Worked for some years , got raise even though I leave earlier than everyone...lol Today i work from anywhere I like and i focus seriously on my family. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Career / Re: My Former Company Refuse To Acknowledge My Pension by GenderMix: 1:21pm On Feb 27 |
Your pension is your property and no one has the right to deprive you of the 25%. It can only be delayed Here is my advice- Visit the office and humbly meet with the HR and explain yourself. You might get someone who Is close to the HR or admin officer to talk your case over. If you need to apologise please do so, if you need to hand over properly just do so and move on. What the pension guys wants to confirm is if you actually resigned officially 1 Like |
Romance / Re: No Matter How Deep You Love A Lady, Never Do These Five Things For Her by GenderMix: 11:49am On Feb 27 |
This is actually spot on. ππͺπ The thing about love (infatuation) is that there is a disconnect between the brain and reality. The sense of judgement at that point is blurred. It's like a sickness. It takes serious maturity to get a hold of yourself during the period of infatuation and not act foolishly. This advice will only work for youngsters who are open minde , surrounded by people with experience and are willing to learn because in reality, emotions can be checked 2 Likes |
Religion / Re: Correcting Freeze's Heretic Assertion That "Jesus Drank Alcohol" by GenderMix: 5:24am On Feb 27 |
damosky12: You actually sound like a fanatic because you're trying to disprove scientific logic to justify your belief. BBIA and kobojunkie are π― right. The Bible is clear about Jesus drinking wine. Wine is fruit that has undergone fermentation. That's why it's called wine. our grandparents and fore fathers enjoyed wine let alone people of old. Infact the wine had lots of health benefits if you understand the science behind fermentation. So coming here to twist the scripture and scientific facts just to make it look like Jesus never took alcohol makes you look dishonest. This is one thing I find very irritating in many who profess to be christians 1 Like 1 Share |

Not up to 24hrs ago, I mentioned that with the way the northern kingpins were complaining about this government, they may instigate northern soldiers to stage a coup de tat. People who thinking Nigeria has gone past this stage are just joking. Tinubu should thread carefully and watch his back. Any slight shake in the form a protest that's 75% effective I Lagos and Abuja, might make such aspiration a reality. May God help us |

These northern kingpins can't be trusted. All of a sudden they've found their voices. I am not a fan of Tinubu but I think he should watch his back. Anything is possible with these northerners especially when power doesn't favor. They can even silently instigate northern soldiers to stage a coup de tat. 4 Likes |

@OP I am really happy for you. I think you should print this message to your wife , laminate it or frame it and hang on your wallπ. She deserves all the praises and good things As you appreciate your wife online also make sure you do same offline and in front of your children so that the kids can learn the power of appreciation and be inspired. The world today is full of so much toxicity and we can get rid of such by openly commending people for their little efforts instead of criticizing. That said, I am also appreciative of the kind of wife God has blessed me with π. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Deew22: Just be yourself. They still see you as her friend so nothing spectacular until a formal introduction with your people Don't bother going with any gift . You don't need to impress anyone. Be plain and straight to the point when asked any questions. It's very important to accept whatever gift they give you. Even if it's food, accept and join them to eat. More importantly is to specially thank them for their gesture in receiving you to their home. Please don't talk too much. Talk only when it's necessary. |
