CrimeAdodotun Clement (assault On Uber Driver)-formal Petition By Inibehe Effiong by GenderMix(op): 8:12am On Oct 26, 2021
There was an earlier report from the CP of lagos state claiming that he can’t take action against the policemen involved since he did not receive any formal petition, hence the lawyer had to write formally while demanding a damage fee of 500million and an apology from the police. Below is the statement of his lawyer Barrister Inibehe Effiong as obtained from his facebook page;
Effiong said;
In an interview with the Punch published on Monday, Lagos CP, Mr. Odumosu, stated that he cannot take disciplinary action against policemen who took part in torturing my client, Mr. Adedotun Clement (the Uber driver) because there was no formal complaint.
Yesterday, I submitted a formal petition to him. We await his action.
For an attack that took place in the full glare of the public with undisputed video evidence in circulation, one would have expected that the CP would initiate action without waiting for a petition.
But since Mr Odumosu made a formal petition a precondition, I have submitted it.
To assist him in his investigation, I attached a Compact Disc (video CD) evidencing the torture of Adedotun by policemen to the petition.
In addition to punishment of the culpable policemen, we're also demanding their prosecution in court, N500m as compensation and a written apology from the police.
We're waiting for the response of the Lagos State Government to our demand letter which we served on them on Friday.
Except our demands are fully attended to, we will be pursuing a fundamental rights lawsuit in court to enforce the rights of our client. We cannot accept a situation where Nigerians are continuously subjected to horror by those paid to protect them.

FamilyRe: Not Everyone You See Is Happily Married... by GenderMix: 2:37pm On Oct 25, 2021
Truvelisback:
Not everyone u see smiling are happily married. Many are rather enduring their marriage instead of enjoying the marriage. Many married men and women u see these days are like prisoners wishing to come out of their prison. Many are even tempted to cheat, some had no other option than to cheat or have a side chick or Bf.
You are correct about this.

Reality is that humans are competitive in nature and everyone wants to stand out and put on a false facade especially in a society like ours.

Many people are not happy due to falsehood (information received before marriage is far from reality). Many people lie their way into marriage. I know of a guy who lied about his salary before marriage only for the lady to find out the truth after marriage.

Many married people are not realistic about their expectations in marriage hence become agitated when reality hits. Many are just greedy , many are too immature

In summary, lies, deceit, immaturity, unrealistic , greed etc are some of the reasons why many married people are not satisfied with their marriage. In a bid to make society believe all is well, they put on a false facade to meet up with unnecessary competition.
PoliticsRe: Security Operatives Take Over Lekki Tollgate Ahead Of #EndSARS Memorial Protest by GenderMix: 7:49pm On Oct 19, 2021
This move by the Nigerian forces only signifies the following

1. The Nigerian govt is scared of the followership from EndSARS movement as such wants to kill it

2. The strategy to be employed by the EndSARS movement tomorrow looks very intimidating

3. The security agents are set to make numerous arrests as possible but alas they shall fail

CareerRe: Can Someone Access Their Pension Funds Before Official Retirement Age by GenderMix: 6:52pm On Oct 18, 2021
Yes, you can (25% if you are less than 50yrs) if your termination is 6months or more. Tje idea is to help provide some form of support. It's your money.

What to do;

1. Get your appointment letter

2. Get your resignation letter if any but not compulsory

3. Get a letter of confirmation from your previous office indicating that your appointment had been terminated (very critical, otherwise they may write to your previous office to confirm and this is time wasting, hence you can tell the HR to create one). Make sure the termination date corresponds to 6months or more

4. Get your birth certificate

5. Get your NIN card

6. Get 2 passports with white background

7. Get your means of identification

8. Take copies of the above to the RSA bank (in most cases , stanbic IBTC). They will ask you to fill certain details in a form

9. Ensure you are in touch with the HR or any admin person of your previous office because a mail will be sent to them to verify your date of birth, date of appointment and date of termination. So make sure the info corresponds with what you have on your letters.

10. Ensure to constantly follow up on the bank to ensure they process your details with PENCOM....updates will be sent at intervals

11. It will take 2-3 weeks before you are credited the 25%
