Politics / Re: We Must Build A Nigeria For Generations Unborn – Tinubu by GeneralBuhari: 8:50am On May 30
efficiencie:
This country is gone. It is not salvageable. The youth are lost. The elders are inept. The priests are corrupt. The teachers are fools. The lawmakers are lawless. The judges are businessmen. The leaders are tyrants and when they are not tyrants they are yesmen. The future is gloomier by the day. We are a people in decline. A failed society. A sorry excuse for a nation.

You couldn't have said it any better than this.

This country, as it currently stands, has no future at all.
Politics / Re: Minimum Wage: FG Invites Labour To Resume Talks Friday by GeneralBuhari: 8:45am On May 30
HeadNigga:
This negotiation get end so? Lots of civil servants do nothing at work...lay them off and give them what they are meant to earn in 12 months at a go let them go into farming or any other productive venture. This will have a massive positive impact on the economy. The FG can secure a loan to do this.

Many ideas dey my head but they will never vote for people like me

I fully support this idea.

So many people in the civil service are busy doing nothing.

Most of such persons are only whiling away time and waiting for the salary which comes at the end of the month.

What of NAAT?

How come no one is talking about NAAT?
Education / Re: SSANU, NASU Begin Strike, Ground Universities Over Withheld Salaries by GeneralBuhari: 4:35pm On Mar 23
Counselor123:
So, strike is the only tool you can use to press home your demands? I thought intellectuals are in charge of our Universities. Please, our children are really suffering from the epileptic service you render in our institutions. I don't agree with FG's position of favouring one union over the other, but my message is for you to find other means to press home your demands. You, too, are part of the problem

Same old story everytime.

Please, can you help suggest at least, ONE other way of going about making demands to the government as a Union body?
Education / Re: SSANU, NASU Begin Strike, Ground Universities Over Withheld Salaries by GeneralBuhari: 6:36pm On Mar 18
Counselor123:
It is no longer funny. It seems our unions are not able to use anything else than industrial actions. Let them think of other options. The havoc they are causing to the sector is immense. We expect more from people who want to hold FG accountable. Recklessly going on strike is not acceptable. Let me tell you, some labour unions went on strike last year in the UK, and their salaries were withheld. They were not paid because they didn't work. Did heaven fall down? At any slight opportunity, you want to run our institutions aground. Do you think you are better than the government you are fighting against? Please think out of the box. You are all in charge of our Universities. We deserve better from you

If you don't really know what the issue is, the best thing to do is to just shut up.

All the unions in the universities: ASUU, SSANU, NASU and NAAT all went on strike in 2022, and subsequently their salaries were withheld as a result of the no work no pay policy invoked by the Federal Government

Now this present day government now decided to settle some part of the withheld salaries.

They went ahead and paid ASUU 4 months of the withheld salaries while completely neglecting the other unions.

Is that fair?

So the other unions, precisely SSANU and NASU under the umbrella of JAC have now called for this strike to protest the unfair treatment of their members by the Federal Government.

That is the issue at hand

When fuel is imported with the current dollar rate, the price of fuel may sell above N800 per litre.

Flight tickets have doubled. Flights of N450k last year is now N850k.

People paying for tuition overseas through CBN are now paying near double of what was paid last year.

Price of goods and transportation have doubled in the market in Naija.

Subsidy has been removed without increase in salaries.

Things are more difficult now than during Buhari era.

ASUU lost the battle a long time ago.

The moment they started having this entitlement mentality like going on strike is their birthright, that was when it became necessary to remind them that they are still federal government employees.

General Buhari will be remembered for putting ASUU in their rightful place.

Donkey meat being sold in Anambra. Smh
As in donkey meat shocked

Donkey meat from Kebbi, a Hausa state with Fulani, being eaten in Onitsha and Anambra state shocked What happened to the cows and cow meat? Kebbi has fish, cow , goats and sheep, why not any of these animals instead of donkey meat? This is really unfair to meat consumers who do not know they are being fed donkey meat.

The meat must be very very obscenely cheap like the obnoxious abhored horse meat and there must probably be severe meat scarcity going on in the South East after chasing away the Northerners and Fulani. HE Soludo and NAFDAC must get to the bottom of this.

This is unbelievable! Donkey meat shocked
