The no work; no pay strategy is a very powerful tool in resetting the minds of so many strike-loving civil servants, chiefly ASUU.

As an employee, no one says you cannot go on strike because it is your full right to protest or demand for a better working condition, but then don't expect your employer to be paying you when you are on strike.

Of course, if your union is strong, then the union should also be paying you while you strike for as long as you like.

Your employer might decide to pay you during or after the strike based on compassionate terms but it is never your right to receive salaries from your employer while you are on strike.

This is what ASUU has been banking on since ages which makes them rush to strike anytime they feel like because like an over-pampered child, the government always shows compassion to them.

But again, like a spoilt and entitled child, they started taking this compassionate level of a thing as their fundamental right.

The Federal government has now decided to change the rules of the game this time around.

They are now determined to teach ASUU a very important life lesson by no longer being any lenient with them.

ASUU is now in trouble because they are not familiar with this latest stand by the government.

ASUU is now panicking because dem don dey realize say dem don enter one chance this time around.

1. ASUU might get deregistered and replaced with CONUA.
2. ASUU president and his NEC leaders may get arrested.
3. Lecturers who refuse to resume will be sacked.
4. ASUU might be declared an illegal union and banned for life.

All in all, it doesn't look any good for ASUU in any way at all whichever way you may want to look at it.

Their pride and stubbornness has finally finished them.

We all heard the judgement of the Appeal Court yesterday and from the looks of it her verdict is final in this particular matter so no Supreme court and I guess FG played a fast one on ASUU.

So this brings me to this Falana should have known the court weren't gonna judge this in ASUU's favour and also he should have told ASUU disobeying the first order from NIC will have consequences but still he jarred them on.

I think ASUU should just calm down and negotiate this matter in peace instead of court here and there cause from the look of things ASUU faulted and FG used those loop holes against them.

Let's be sincere pride is one thing holding ASUU down, we all knows they deserved better from FG but they too should know the Buhari tenure is coming to an end very soon like he said he doesn't want to sign agreement he can't implement and for me it's reasonable few months from now Buhari is off and the next president might fault that agreement if he signed and then the strike continues, so why not wait till the new president comes and then go on a reasonable negotiation with him.

The case is not won by either ASUU or FG yet the court just wants the students to return to class since they are the most affected here.


It's my own opinion though I might be wrong in some places am opened to learning and corrections.

The Federal Government really prepared for ASUU this time around.

By registering CONUA, the Federal Government has succeeded in giving some sort of choice to ASUU members who do not like the frequent ASUU strikes which ASUU has abused for so long and have gotten away with it previously.

Any lecturer who wants to die of hunger, can now happily continue with ASUU but any lecturer who feels the economic hard times we are in coupled with fact that unemployment is real, can sensibly join CONUA.

ASUU entered the strike so strong as usual, but believe me, the truth of the matter now is that ASUU is now hanging on the balance and begging for a way to come out of the imbroglio.

They have boxed themselves into a very tight corner.

To tell you how much ASUU has lost the fight, when was the last time you heard about IPPIS this or UTAS that?

The prospects of losing their 8 months salaries and counting just like that, is the real threat they are facing now, most especially with Christmas around the corner and the loans mounting.

Let me tell you one fact that most people are missing.

Valuable education does not actually start at the tertiary level.

As long as primary and secondary school education is faulty, if you like import the best Harvard University lecturers and put them in the Nigerian universities, their end product will always be abysmal.

In fact, left to me, the federal government should put more effort in resuscitating our secondary schools rather than focusing all their energy on this endless back and forth janglover they are always playing with ASUU.

I was so heartbroken. For a guy to buy her iphone that means she have been dating and having sex with the guy secretly without me knowing. She has been begging me, calling & texting since Friday but i didn't reply.

She texted me she was coming to my house yesterday. The only word I said to her since on Friday was to meet me in a uncompleted building close to my house yesterday, I have this machanic slege hammer, it's one of my tools I use for working, so I held it while waiting for her.

My plan was the moment she enter the building, just a powerful whiplash on her head and she's dead, I felt so cold inside of me, I was also shaking while holding the hammer and feeling so heartbroken. Then I heard a deep voice inside of me saying "YOU WILL REGRET YOUR ACTIONS" (twice)

Then she called me that she's there, I already sighted her through the window, I came out and I told her to run away and never come back anywhere around me again. She was still begging that she's sorry. And I said if only you know what I'm about to do, you will run.

She left, I just sat on the floor feeling so heartbroken.
