That's why I said we need very good offensive players. I can only rely on a few of them.

Esther is at least 7 times out of 10, always bright for the falcons, Oshoala remains a good forward of course, then there is Ajibade and Rinsola. Kanu even when she scored in our previous games has not been that really convincing to me in her overall play, same with Gift Monday (who is good on her day but suffers inconsistency).

We need Esther Oyenezide to develop fast in Spain and own her position as well.

Hopefully both of them go don recover before April. The sun and terrible pitch (though not excuses) can slow down these foreign borns. Cameroon are mostly home based players, so they adapted well.

Thoughts

Before the game began, I expressed my opinion on the formation Randy used. While I believe it provided us a better option offensively, I noticed in the last game it allowed Cameroon dominate the middle. Exactly the same thing happened today.

I however think it isn't a formation problem but a personnel problem. The combination of Uchiebe, Abiodun and JOE doesn't seem to work ok the defensive end. Maybe with tweak the formation a bit with Abiodun and Ayinde or ask that Ajibade drops deeper to help in the middle. Or maybe it happened cause we ate playing a physical team in Cameroon.

I'm not even worried about that because Cameroon is of course a very physical side. But I think we need to scout for at least one good attacking midfielder and another striker.

Cameroon: No Olympics. No Afcon.

We may complain now but surprisingly everything Bola Tinubu said he would do with the FX market in his policy document released before he became president, he is doing them exactly step by step despite the pressure and backlash.

Though he may not have anticipated the naira running away that fast.

I don't think I implied in my post that Oshoala should not play or start the game.

Oshoala can start as a winger and Esther Okoronkwo as striker, let's see how that experiment would work because Oshoala also switched to the wings in some part of that game.

In this set up, we can keep Payne on the bench. Ajibade also play on the wings with Echiegini as the attacking midfielder. Ucheibe and any of Abiodun or Halimatu could then complete the midfield. In defence, keep Alozie, Demehin, Oluehi, and Plumptre. Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.

Florence Odegbami utilized Oshoala as a winger with Oparanozie as the centre forward in 2016.

well our sports ministry and the FA Has to be blamed for not setting up any competitive friendly for our girls.. exposure matters a lot but the I think the second leg will be mostly about tactics. Zambians are mostly counter attacking team but they may get a dose of their own medicine, like I said black queens can also play counter attacking football, my only concern is their finishing. to be honest my Ghanaian girls have been rising steadily since they started rebuilding but Zambia is up there the world cup itself is a great exposure for them the black queen hadn't played against such a good side in a long so they were exposed a lot in the first half but they came good in the second. They had three clear cut chances to equalize but luck wasn't on their side. Zambia has the advantage in the second leg but the Ghanaian coach who is very good knows what is against now. Anything can happen. The Ghanaian team on a good day can also play counter attacking football but the honest truth is that Zambia has great finishers

I have been saying it for long that the new coach needs that vital test. Before now, the best African side they played was Senegal which is just an average team in Africa.

The second leg is going to be tougher for them because as you acknowledged, Zambia has great finishers, so if they play attacking football at home in Lusaka (which they would definitely do), trust Zambia to take at least one or two of those chances.
