Baba Awolowo did a lot of amazing things despite that he was never a president. Take the free education for example: it's one of the greatest thing that's ever happened to Nigeria at large.

Eastern Nigeria had almost next to nothing when we were under regionalism. Records don’t lie. This is one of the reasons Azikwe wasn’t interested in governing the eastern region. It was a super empty region..

Regarding the school, UNN, it was an FG project..
