Lived in Winnipeg for a few years now. Only 1 of my car has winter tyres. The 1 I drive is all seasons and I haven't had any issues so far.

I have driven thru crazy snowstorms even last year's Colorado low and it was ok. Even with Winter tyres you need to drive to the road condition.

I am not saying you shouldn't get it though, I am just speaking from my personal experience.
Thanks

Will really advise you do, almost lost my life this year, still didn't know how God saved me. My car skidded off Highway 401 when I was going from Toronto to London , the long vehicle trailer that was coming from behind almost ran me over when my car formed a T right at its front. The snow started all of a sudden and I had "all season" wheels on.

So please change your tires, it's for your safety!!!
I thank God for your life sir, thanks alot I must change my tires.

Manitoba gets lots of snow. You would likely get stuck in a snow dump. There would be some days when your all season tires with AWD would just spin plus dig dipper into the snow and not move an inch forward or backward. cheesy
Goodluck.
Thanks alot sir

Lol, thanks
But Who pissed you off tho, abeg officer be calming down, Google doesn't give a satisfying explanation all the time nah, even Google maps doesn't know road. Imagine Google maps telling me to fly a stream with my car because it feels it's a shortcut.

To start with, not may provinces care with a law on winter tires. Alberta does not have one.

Last year, I was late to change to winter tires because I was a bit busy. Just at the first snow fall, my car skidded terribly on the road but the good thing was that it on a lonely street and It was wide enough not to affect other parked cars. I carefully drove it back home, parked and took cabs till I had time to change the tires.

If you however have All Season Tires, they will hold on well; but if you are on the normal tires(summer tires)..just make sure you have AA or AMA numbers for possible towing. But why will anyone consider such?
Thanks sir/ma, I understand all you said.
An all season tires with a 4WD is the plan.
But I guess Winnipeg being the coldest city will require winter tires. Alberta/ontario/British Columbia are warm right??.

With respect to the bolded it depends on the province. I have never had any issue in Ontario for not changing tires. However, the insurance is slightly high as a result of this. Insurance companies will generally ask if you will be using all seasons tires instead of Winter tires (in the winter).

I have heard in Quebec there are police checkpoint inspecting car tires in the winter. It seems like winter tires are mandatory in Quebec

P.S. I have just found this online:

MARCH 15 INCLUSIVE
From December 1 to March 15 inclusive, all motorized road vehicles registered in Québec (other than heavy vehicles, tool vehicles and farm machinery) must be equipped with winter tires.

This requirement also applies to rental passenger vehicles in Québec, as well as mopeds, motorized scooters and motorcycles.

IF YOUR VEHICLE IS NOT EQUIPPED WITH WINTER TIRES BETWEEN DECEMBER 1 AND MARCH 15 INCLUSIVE
The fine varies from $200 to $300, plus costs

Ontario – While there are no actual laws in Ontario that require drivers to use winter tires, there are some reasons people might want to use them outside of them simply being safer. Insurance companies in the province are legally required to give discounts to drivers who use winter tires.
My destination is Manitoba, Winnipeg, I guess winter tire is a necessity??.

Just wanted to point out a caveat on the use of the company account. My sponsor also used a company account but I had to add a letter from the bank identifying him as the sole signatory to the company account. Without this additional verification from the bank showing that your uncle controls the company funds it’s likely to be a rejection.

To show kinship with your uncle you can also add his birth certificate and your mum’s birth certificate to show they share the same parents as well as your mum’s wedding certificate to show her former surname before she married your dad
Thanks

Good day nairalanders
Quick question pls

My sponsor is my mum's brother (different surname). So I have two questions about this

1.What are the required documents to prove he is my uncle,
He has given me , his personal and business bank statement, letter of sponsorship, reference later from bank, cac certificate and I have a picture from my grandma burial in 2019.
What other documents do I need to provide plshuh

2. Question
He has an outflow of 4m, inflow of 9m and a banlance of 4m, he also gave me his business account with inflow and outflow of over 300m but current balance of 10m
Is it ok if i use both personal for sponsorship and business as supporting statementhuh
Please I need to apply next month.
