i will be resuming to Belfast in September this year. I would love to connect.

Hi, being offsite for awhile now. The cost of living has just gone up from what it used to be pre covid but still very much affordable. You can get a job while studying. If your university is in Belfast, I can help you drop off your application for a care job where I work if you fancy that.

Apologies for the late response and all the best.
Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by geobreezyt: 3:15pm On May 16, 2022
From extensive research and feedback from both students and alumni, Belfast is a good and affordable place. There are part-time jobs available for student just as is obtainable in other parts of the UK.

I am also looking forward to connecting with Ulster University September Intakes or other Students in Belfast.

kweenadeola:

I will like to know as well, Belfast campus preferably.

The applicable Intl fee for you is the 16,000. There is a general discount for intl students and the Alumni of the school which is 2k, that is what made the other intl. fee 14k. African students wont qualify for the 2k intl students discount because of the 5k African scholarship already given.

Your fee will be 16,000 - 5000= 11,000

My application took about 2/3 weeks.

Bisiano1201:

Thank you for the updates on the Uni of Lincoln.
Your updates made me interested and I applied today.
Any idea on how long it takes to get an offer?
Can you pls explain the difference between the 2 International fees.
Am I to pay the £14,000 (-£5,000 African scholarship) or £16,000 (-£5,000 African scholarship)?
Thank you.

The scholarship is automatic. No application required.

It will reflect on your offer letter.

Ibom2345:
please how do you apply for this scholarship, i can't find it on their website.

Shootingstar130:

They don't require pof for CAS issuance?

In addition, you are required to just fill the CAS form online and submit for it to be issued.

geobreezyt:
Tuition fee is about 14,950. With the 5k African Scholarship, school fee is about 9,950. you are expected to pay 50% of the total tuition at enrolment (this 50% is inclusive of the 3k deposit). The other 50% can be paid in instalments (maximum of 9 instalments)

Thank you for this suggestion. Do you have any further info regarding the initial tuition deposit fee for Lincoln and other conditions for CAS approval.

Check out University of Hull and Uni of Lincoln. Lincoln gives African students 5k discount, bringing the average fee to 9k/10k.

Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by geobreezyt: 3:48pm On Jan 26, 2022
Nope. The 2k discount will not apply to you as an African. When you get your offer letter, only the 5k discount will reflect.

You get the highest discount/scholarship obtainable.

Kimberx:
Please is there any university of Lincoln September intake here?

Yea, 50% should be around 4500 to 5500 after the 5k discount for African Students, depending on your course of study

DafePeejay:
Hi. I see some people going to University of Lincoln. Just want to put it out there that they require 50% of the tuition on enrolment. Not sure if people pay attention to that but it'll mean you paying up to 7k/8k before enrolment. Without which you would be reported to the Home Office.

Which did you settle for bro?

FrankFrenzy:
Good morning beautiful people, and happy weekend to us all.
Please I need an honest and unbiased advise, I have a few unconditional offers for this January, but prominent among them is Ulster University Belfast and Northumbria University.. I’m also expecting an offer by next week from BCU, now my concern is I’m scheduled for TB test on Monday, pls I need an advise on which school to use on the certificate. Ulster I’m in Belfast Northern Ireland while Northumbria is in Newcastle. Any one who knows about either or both cities should pls advise a brother so I don’t make mistakes or wrong choices.
Note. Ulster is £1000 cheaper than Northumbria, Northumbria is rated top 25 in the uk while Ulster is top 45, but the latter is in Northern Ireland.
@Justwise other experts in the house, kindly advise pls

It appears there are few Nigerians in Belfast. I want to know what the experience looks like as a international student in Belfast. Are the people friendly? Are there readily available jobs for students and upon graduation? Do they stick to the 20hrs work for Students.

What's the cost of living like?

Anyone with these info should please help.
