I was telling my junior colleagues at work that it's shameful that I can not get free or even subsidized viewing of Premier league in the very country where it is domicile.

They all concurred and said they heard its almost next to nothing, the price for cable TV to watch games.

Well I didn't tell them I stream all live matches on my laptop, I simply use HDMI cord and watch on my Tv. No be me my village people go send back because these people and gossip na bread and butter grin grin.

The UK is a stingy, unfair and hypocritical system.

Some days I wake up and literally want to run to Australia or Canada. Strength to write exams never dey, the day morale falls on me, I dust my clinical texts.

How una dey?
Me that I bought Virgin Media box with Full subscription thinking I will be able to watch live sport without ish... Until I got a shocker that any Premier league match on Saturdays 3PM is not shown by BTSport or SkySport or BBC

Good afternoon everyone.

please i would love to ask if it is okay to do court marriage in APRIL when applying for dependant visa for September

Traditonal marriage has been done since 3 years but we need to make it legal through court

Hope dependant Visa will not be rejected because of the new marriage certificate.
It is OK but you will need to have enough proof to back the Certificate up. e.g. Pictures, Tenancy agreement or contract carrying your names,
Investment between both parties among others.

You can check the front page or check UKVI website

Their payment is flexible and will be split into 7 installment.

Let's say your tuition is £10K and you paid £3K initial deposit.

£7K will be split into 7 installment providing how you want to pay them.

Goodevening you all.

A TB test came out negative but showing "abnormal chest x-ray". The IOM doctor suggested the applicant see his own personal doctor tho. Will this abnormal chest x-ray affects his visa application by next month?

I have attached snaps of the TB result
No need to worry since you have your certificate.

I myself had abnormal and was advised to see my personal doctor. However, I am currently enjoying life in the UK

Same here o. Are you also using pay as you go? Would like to ask how you manage your electricity usage. I feel my consumption is kinda high as I spend an average of £9/£10 daily. Someone said it’s probably because the house is 100% electricity and no gas. Abeg anyone with useful info on minimising this should also give me hint biko
Yes, I use Smart Meter Pay As You Go

Do you use Electric heaters? They consume light a lot.

I use between £2-£3, I don't use electric heaters

That's the UK's version of the Voters' register. Financial institutions and lenders use that to confirm your the area where you reside in the UK. This is one of the major factors which influences your credit rating score.
Thanks, I already registered to Vote and I have gotten confirmation from my council welcoming with a letter via post.

This has been an issue for some time now. What I did in this situation was to talk to the Airbnb owner to convert us to tenant for a 6 months period. This was a lot easier then and my then landlord accepted immediately cos it was that hot covid time. He had I believe 3 flats that were not making him a dime.

Maybe try to chat with the property owner to see if he/she can accept that offer. Mind you, this won’t be same price as what the apartment will go for rent, but it will be better than the Airbnb price. Then you try to intensify your house hunt and maybe consider other locations (like small villages close to the city).

Note: most Airbnb owners wont accept this kind of offer now as it’s not of benefit to them, But there are some with human compassion that will consider your family for this. Especially, owners that do travel abroad themself and know how life can be challenging for a family in a new city.

Roll the dice. Good luck
I had similar experience too, switched in between Airbnb and Hotel. My last Airbnb owner was kind enough to keep canceling booking appointments to extend our stay while we go house hunting. The guy nah real gem.

I don't encourage water wastage but we gotta know the facts. Know what is fair usage for your particular circumstances.

Of course, there are places I cut down, like when I shower, brush or do the dishes. But Madam loves a good long hot shower during this winter and loves to wash her food items thoroughly under running water and I won't stop her just because I want to save £5.

So find out where you can save but if you have hit fair usage, just chill jare. £15 per month is sweet but impossible for me. Virus must be on a special billing
WOW!!! that means i dey enjoy cause, no matter how many litres I used in a month. My charges is capped at £30-35

other means?
