shellcom: Congrats man! Please which airline is he going with? I need a cheap flight to dusseldorf for 3rd jan. Please refer me to how I can get such
He is coming with Iberia. Travelling on the 3rd of January would be expensive, because you are travelling in the season like the airlines would say. The Airlines make money fron Nigerian Passagener from 13th December - 17th Janaury . It is always expensive to travel by this time.

Hello all, rejoice with my and my family. I am very happy. I just got the mail this morning, that my cousin should come and collect his visa. He would be using the ADAC Health Insurance. I signed the DOS for him. He would be participating in the Aufnahmeprüfung on the 11th of January next year. I bought his ticket right away for 425€ (One Way: Lagos - Düsseldorf on the 23rd of this month). That is the cheapest I found at the moment.

Any testimonies of fellas wey una know wey get good job after d whole skooling tin?...
tnks.
Yes. I am one of them. I have been working here since 2009, even though I was unemployed between April and September 2011. That's why I want my cousin to come over. I started from Studienkolleg. But I have not gotten any experiences concerning students who only went for their master degrees and English programms.

@princeolu If you have not bought your ticket yet, when buying check out Iberia. At the moment they have the cheapest rate. It is even cheaper than Emirates. You can get Tickets to Germany for between 320-420 Euros hence you would be travelling before 16.12.2013.

Use swoodoo.com to get the tickets. I believe you would fly to Zurich. From There you can use a train to Germany or Konstanz. I use this website here in Germany to get the cheapest flight tickets.

I no longer study. I am through with schooling and started working. I studied Information Systems up to master level at University of Münster and now I live in Essen.

As Ajegunle boy I had to learn how to survive at all times. grin

topeajis: Na spag and rice u go they eat be that anyway u tlk say u they eat for plc of work sha
I don't only eat rice and spaghetti. But when you don't have enough money then you have to learn how to economise. Moreover the 80€ is just an example to show one how to stay in the 400€monthly range.

Omojayejaye: I think it was around 2003 from his post......
I didn't mean 2003. With 80 Euros you can get enough to eat, as long as you cook yourself what I do almost every day.
Very nice thread. I read frm d begining up to dis point. My question is that once u get to germany will that 8000 euro's b sufficient for d two years master's?, cos am seeing that you have to renew ur visa again after the first year, and u have to show 8k euro's again. Can dis money b raised with part time job over there cos once I leave naija with 8k uero's nobody is gonna send a dime again. Pls sumone with experience should clearify me on dis. Tnks.
To be honest with you the 8000 Euros cannot sustain you for the 2 years. Depinding on the city you live, you can sustain yourself with 400 -450€ monthly (200€ for houserent / 70€ for Health Insurance/ 80€ for Food / at least 50€ for School Levies). I know I could sustain myself with 250€ (then I was attending Studienkolleg 2003 and worked in a resturant where I got almost all I ate) at the beginning. I was very lucky to have found a very cheap and small room (120€ monthly), but the problem with this: You no fit toast any babe for Germany, because you no fit buy her even ice cream when you date her. grin

On this case I would only advice to get a small job when you get here. With this you can earn some money to add to the ones you already have. I believe if you can achieve this, you will get your visa after the first year extended. To get jobs quickly, you should know how to express yourself in German. This advise has been given very often.

Ogbeche77: How did you get this link.. I just visited the german embassy site and the student visa column is yet show up there..
I saved the link for student visas few weeks ago, because my cousin had appointment this month. I didn't want to go through the start page of the Embassy to see, if there were better appointment dates. Due to the fact that someone mentioned yesterday that he or she can't find the link anymore. I had to check if mine was still working. It is and that's why I posted it here.

joeblack21: my uncle stays in munich and my school is in bonn, does location of my sponsor affects my chances?
Actually it shouldn't be a problem if you uncle can prove he can finance your studies.
