First, Airpod is Arteta's second hand man. Heinze is more of a specialist unlike Cuesta who all rounded.

Heinze has been mostly pictured with the defensive groups whether in training or during warmups. His job role is primarily defensive but he can contribute in other area as well.

Do you remember when Arsenal employed Hussein Isa? He is a specialist and a tekker. He was to help our attackers then. I really don't know what happened but that kind of appointment is what I'm talking about.

As for the bolded, I'm glad you agreed. Now, what I'm saying is that Arteta can get a coach who specializes in attacking plays. Someone who can get the best out of our forwards.

to be honest, I don't know what happened with that Hussein Isa guy, I remember him for adverts more than working at Arsenal. I even forgot about Albert sef, yeah he's the man after Arteta. In the end, what i am trying to say is that in as much as our defence was better this season, we can't outright say that Heinze transformed the defence. The difference between this season and previous season was belief and mentality to win. From the attackers to the keeper, everyone knew the importance of tracking back and defending, and next season we have to balance it by having clinical attackers. Will Arsenal allow Arteta add a new background staff to his already high earning group?, especially now that a new contract is on the table for him?.

Excellent comparison here I must admit. But you're ignoring the Jover angle which best conveys my point. Everyday, we see Arsenal coming up with different set piece styles. Why can't we have something like that in the attacking department too. An assistant coach doesn't need to leave before Arteta add another. Aside the sprinter who is coming to replace the doctor that's sacked, another guy (a conditioning and rehabilitation expert) is coming to join the team.

We won the league but one truth we must tell ourselves is that attacking wise, we underperformed. I am an ardent follower/reader of Billy Carpenter's articles. I read EBLs too. One thing both consistently say is that Arteta has been getting his attacking combination wrong because he sometimes misprofile the players. How about we bring in an expert to address this?

Lastly, I really respect you bringing in past figures from previous seasons but WE CAN ACTUALLY DO BETTER. The goal is to continually evolve and not to be satisfied.

ok, i get where you are going. But Jover has been working with Arteta since his man city days specifically for dead balls and cuesta was the main assistant. The same position cuesta occupied is the same position Heinze is in, the same job description, Heinze is not a defensive coach that was brought in to strengthen our defence, but Arteta's main assistant coach who also offers his ideas as a former manager too.

Our attack wasn't as potent as we expected and even Arteta knows better about that. There's a reason why all our signing speculations are about attackers. Heinze is not a defensive coach in the crew of Arteta but his second hand man and the person who shares tactical aspect of the game, team selection, match analysis, training sessions with him. As a former defender and manager it was the right choice choosing him to close the gap left by cuesta. If Cuesta didn't leave, there would have been no reason to get Heinze. For jover, he has been working only on dead balls since his man city days with Arteta.

Well, I may not understand where you're coming from but it won't hurt to have someone bring fresh ideas into the team. When Arteta came in, he was able to stabilize the team (defensive and attacking) even with resources at his disposal.

Jover came in and our set piece improved. Heinze joined and our defence improved so much. We didn't collect any red card nor concede any penalty in EPL.

So if we have an attacking coach that will raise the level of our attack, is there any issue in that?

he can't be adding another person to the coaching crew. Heinze came in to replace Cuesta who left to be a manager not because Arsenal needed a defensive coach. He needed to replace the vacancy in his coaching screw. We conceded 29 goals in 2024 and 34 on 2025 because of the many red cards and referee decisions and this season we conceded 27 goals, two less than 2024. But you can't say that the indiscipline in the team wasn't improving for better every year before Heinze came in. Saying we need an attacking coach is just the same as saying this season's defence was just because of Heinze. He was instrumental but not the reason for not conceding penalties and red cards. Didn't we concede penalties in the champions league?, and even the pgmol had to save us from penalties and red cards this season sometimes.

Personally, I feel we supposed don wrap up one or two signings before the world cup start o. I fear if some of our potential signings shine at the world cup, it will drive their value higher, and their current clubs will want to milk us dry.

I understand we have enough transfer budget to get our desired players in this transfer window owing to how well the club earned this past season, but then we need to be prudent in our spendings too. We need to get our business done ASAP, have the players ready for pre-season and be ready for the new season.

Even dirty spuds who escaped relegation have started getting busy in the market as soon as the season ended. To think we will be playing them as our first match of the season. I don't want surprises at all. I hope Berta will and his team will get busy in the market soonest.

most clubs understands that the world cup can change the price associated with their players, so they are dragging on that. I think only free transfers and players not going to the world cup are moving already. As a player, I no go even want to engage in club deals when world cup still dey start, I fit shine for world cup and negotiate better deal off it.

i guess we need to sack Arteta and bring in that coach that broke Arsenal's epl record goals in 2024, that coach that his Arsenal team is first to score 80+ goals in two straight seasons 2023 and 2024, that coach that with the fastest Arsenal team to reach 200 epl goals, that coach with the highest number of goals scored in all competitions since 1930, that coach that his Arsenal team scored just 2 goals less in all competitions than Pep Guardiola great attack in 2025/2026 season.

i know the training pattern is usually extreme and requires a lot of work and running, but there are certain players whose injuries where reoccurring even without playing. Players like Norgard, Calafiori, Ben white, Odegaard and Timber. Everybody has to take responsibilities for their action. His job is to examine our players and give the best environmental for their recovery, but most times the time frame for injury returns never always be as he informs and the players ends up getting sidelined again.

Have they given him another contract apart from the one year extension he was given last year? His contract runs out next year, I expect him to complete it and leave for free next season. Martinelli is attracting big spenders across Europe and Saudi, I expect the board to sell him this window and allow Trossard run out his contract

i doubt Arteta would let Martinelli go. His relentless and ability to cover tracks is so important for the team for him to go ahead of Trossard. Martinelli would just be another case of Luiz dias of Liverpool to bayern, our system limits him so much even though i am not taking the fact that he fuccks up sometimes away. I think Raphael Leao and kvaratshkelia are just another version of Martinelli, if we can bring out that attacking hunger in our players play fast attacking games, both Martinelli, madueke and Gyokeres will be hot next season.

Come to think of it, every thing they said it's our problem with winning the epl was the same thing we didn't do to win it.

They said we can't win without a striker that scores 20+ goals, and our striker scored the same range of goals as our previous forwards(13 - 15)
They said we can't win the epl if we don't win at Anfield and Etihad, we lost at the two venue and still won the league
They said set piece can't win us the league, we started and sealed the win with set piece.
They said we can't win with by relaying on defence, we started and won the league with 1:0 scoreline.
They said we can't win the league without improving our total points because city would be more deadly, and we won with less points than our previous title challenging seasons and still had 7 points more than city.

I just know with the belief and mentality in this team now, we will be up there with the biggest clubs again for a long time.

Osimhen is a serious aerial threat & ultra high presser, we won’t be in so much low block pressure if we had Osimhen

bro na the same talk wey carry us go sign Gyokeres, you don forget?. Plus Osimhen is already injury prone not to talk of when he plays in epl and Arsenal setup that requires workload. His attitude is also another thing. At the moment kai is our best striker which is why we need another profile better than what he can bring. Alvarez is a better option but the amount involve might make us overlook him.

We had the easiest route to the finals this year because we did a good job in the group phase, we should do same next season

personally, I don't think we need Osimhen, he's the same profile as Gyokeres, we need a jesus type of striker, someone who's good with the ball at his feet but more clinical. Timber needs a good deputy if white is going, which i think might be happening. Between Martinelli and Trossard I think the later should leave while we keep Nelli.

Odegaard still has it in him but needs to be fully fit to play at his best, this season him and Saka were never fully fit at anytime and the world is not going to help unless the get knocked out earlier.

If kepa leaves, then we will be out for another no.2 keeper, but for now the main priority should be a decent RB, LW. Rogers that we are going for is just another Eze type of player who doesn't really enjoy defending or covering tracks. I really don't care the profile they sign, just get someone for the obvious positions that are lacking. And replace the ones that will be leaving.

Funny thing is Areta somehow was able to have a very good work relationship with the hot headed Xhaka; the same player who most fans had already given up on . In fact, Arteta turning around Xhaka's story at Arsenal is a clear example that Arteta is not the bad man-manager some fans may want to paint him because one would think if Arteta would have issues with senior players, Xhaka will be number one on the list.

Xhaka and David Luiz, two main hot headed players that played under him and still loves and credits him all the time.
Calafiori said he loves and hate Arteta at the same time because of how he is always telling him new things every week.

The peace and coordination in the team is the only thing one needs to look at to know how respected Arteta and his coaching staffs are. Even those not playing says he always talks to them regarding their playing time and tries to explain.
Pepe started playing better when Arteta really took him personal and he fell out the moment Arteta thought he was OK.

Personally at some point with how he makes his team selection, i questioned if he listens at all. But Eze, Calafiori, Rice, Odegaard giving examples of when and how they meet him to discuss and he listened made me change my mind on that. For those players to be free enough to meet their boss and demand or share ideas with him, can only mean they all have a good relationship.

I also wondered why he's bent on blaming Arteta for Auba and Ozil's exit ; especially Auba's. Auba is not a model for well disciplined superstar at all. Auba that had the same discplinary issues at national team level at the 2022 AFCON when him and Lemina broke the team's curfew by returning late to their hotels leading to a clash with security.

It's understandable why he was axed at Arsenal because he will surely be a bad influence on the young team we were building to go back to winning ways.

I am one of the biggest Auba's fan and I remember how I used to have tons of arguments with Iamoyindamola defending Auba every week back then. I never really liked Lacazzette and would always refer to Auba is the model goal poacher we need as a team.

But the moment the news of his indiscipline issues made the rounds and he was axed, I agreed with the club management and wash my hand commot Auba matter. I can't condone indiscipline from a player being paid millions yearly who just can't behave himself on and off the pitch.

Bro, Ozil never said he had an issue with Mikel. In all of his interviews there has never been a case where he said anything about Mikel. Ozil's issue with the team started after his post about the Muslims in China and the Chinese fans started burning Arsenal shirts and cancelling us. The club distanced themselves from the issue because China was our biggest Asian country. Ozil was playing regularly and getting his form back till that happened and he stopped playing, and from there the issue skyrocketed to that of him paying the fees of the mascot after Arsenal cut off his payment during covid. So brother, I am 100% sure that Arteta had nothing to do with Ozil be ostracised.

Auba was given a timeline to come back and he overstayed, and to make matters worse, a picture of him getting a tattoo when he was meant to be back went public. And it wasn't just that one scenario, aura has been coming late to trainings and other discipline issues.

It's funny how they hate us, one guy showed a video of how Rice held a Chelsea player during a corner and was ranting of how we cheated, I pointed out to him how caicedo also held Raya and yet he still got his hands on the ball to tip it over. Same sequence, same type of foul but you're crying about that of Rice and ignoring the one on Raya, the baba blocked me.
