"It is not only the goal that he scored, he changed the game. Every time he got the ball, he makes things happen and we are more of a threat. To do that at that age, in this context with the pressure, the expectations to win the game, it's just not normal.

"It's so organic for him, he doesn't feel the pressure. He goes, gets the ball, stops on the ball. It's natural for him, that's the best thing, so just make sure he does what he feels.

"When you have such a talent then I'm sure good things are going to happen."

- Arteta on Dowman
Arteta is right, Dowman doesn't play with pressure, he will do things that will make you say "oh, well he's still a boy", and the next minute, he's doing something that will make you say "what a super star".

I just watched 45 mins of Brighton vs Sunderland and it ended 0-0.

Anybody that heard that stewpid Brighton manager crashing out against Arsenal would think his team was Leicester of 2015/2016 season that was gunblazing.

Nonsense!
abeg forgive am, even Arteta don forgive am. grin he already apologised grin

After JT came out yesterday, many pundits are now bashing him for going extreme.
I love how our team are not paying attention to what they are saying, their mind is solely on the job
make dem try win today first. West ham doesn't look like they will stop city, so lets just win even if na half a goal. That will show a lot of character and belief among them.

Everyone is now coming together thinking it's like we are going overboard with this anti-arsenal.
most of dem pundits and ex players are just taking this Arsenal talk as banter, but then Mikel's words is just pure hate and disrespect. I still dey wonder wetin give am such mind, a black player that was relatively below average calling out Arsenal.

Timber, saka nko
Timber has been rested more than Zubi and Rice, and he can still be rested more often cus white is back, but Rice would hardly get that rest cus there's no player who can offer what he brings to the table. Managing his time on the pitch would be more effective.
Na Arteta know why he never too trust norgaard to replace Zubi

I think Saka deserves grace.

I remember how we complained about the number of games he was playing at that young age. He has over 300 at 24 caps now.

He is also, affected by that harmstring injury he had last year, I think he is trying to be cautious because of the upcoming WC.

He was awful in our last match, but he can be excused.
yeah, injury has a way of affecting players how they don't even expect. But I know he will come back strong.

Not direct bench but player management.saka, zubimendi, timber e.t.c should be sub early like 60min.arteta have no trust in norgard to replace zubimendi and zubi is tired.

I just wish dowman can play left wing
i understand what you mean, no too explain. I know what i said and why I said it grin
Saka is not a case of resting, no i don't believe that, he has hardly played much minutes. Even after full match rest or playing few minutes, he still doesn't turn up next match. Zubimendi is obvious he needs a big rest.

In the whole squad, they ones I know and feel like really need resting are Zubi and Rice.

He needs to learn how to rotate before everyone get exhausted like saka, martineli
if he tries to rotate and we drop points, some fanbase calls him out for benching the best players, even though it is obvious we need to rotate regardless of the match.

100% true!

If we start stalling in contract negotiations with a player of Saka's quality that is not yet 25 years old with all that talent he displays on the pitch and what he has done for this club; we will be sending a very bad signal to the player and his management.

Other top clubs will not hesitate to lure him away from the club with mouthwatering contract and bumper sign on bonus.

It will just wreck the arsenal project in an instant. A lot of quality players whom we either got cheap or brought in from academy will start getting tempted to run down their contract and move away to other top clubs either at zero sign on fee to arsenal or for a paltry sum. It won't be funny at all.

Saka's improved contract extension is well deserved and timing is not wrong at all. I believe Saka is only having a rough patch ; his quality is never in doubt and he will come back with a bang in a matter of weeks.

Just looking at the corner kicks Madueke swung in after Saka was subbed off yesterday, one still had a feeling that Saka taking those kicks could've produced a better outcome. But not to downplay Madueke's contribution Sha cos he won us that penalty.
Madueke had a better game than all our forwards combined. Martinelli was second to me, 2 or 3 times he tried to replicate that goal he scored against inter abi na kairat sef, but the chance wasn't clear. I don't even want to talk about Gyokeres, I don leave him matter for people wey get high expectations of him.
Eze, keeps playing like he is being forced to play, can't wait to have odegaard back, cus we really need his ball control and tempo change.
Saka have become so slow than usual, he seems not to know when to rush and when to slow down, and that's what Madueke understands better than him currently, just that Madueke's finishing move is always a problem.

We were below par tonight by our own standard.... But thank God we salvaged a point.

We really need to do something before the second leg o. I wish that Dowman boy can play LW; would've preferred him starting ahead of Martinelli.
for some reason, we have been poor since 2026 as compared to 2025. Is it the pressure??.

You see why I questioned extending saka contract mid season, this guy have been shiit since last season and he's too comfortable with it.
He's walking away with 300k per week dropping poverty stricken numbers every season, we should have waited till end of season and evaluate our options with him, Odegaard and martinelli.
We deserve accountability too, no wonder they say we don't have any world class, the guy can't beat his man again and will rather stroll around.
Everyone at the club knows Saka isn't turning up as expected, that's true. But Saka is not the kind of player you allow his contract to run down before making an attempt, cus a lot of clubs are monitoring the process. Today he wasn't convincing especially after the restart, just like in some other games. But there are also games where even though he didn't score nor assisted, he played good.
I believe it is a matter of time and form, but then till whenhuh...

Timber made it difficult to control play from his game and made it difficult for attackers when in nice attacking position with the ball. Very forgetful display from him.
Saliba, na him know wetin just dey do am.

I mentioned it the other day that most of the criticism against Arsenal by rival fans, players and coaches are emotion driven and not necessarily facts driven.

It is our duty as fans of this great club to put down some of those agenda with fact and not allow them gaslight us to the extent we start attacking our own team manager when the chips are down.

The Yeye Brighton manager was complaining about Raya wasting time in our midweek match. He was blowing hot and making it seem like Raya was always in the habit of delaying restart of games to rub down the clock in almost every matches we played. The guy was just blabbing and packing all his frustration on our team and would throw just anything to see which one sticks.

The article below shows Raya is actually number 3 on the list of keepers quick to release the ball after picking it up. Raya spends an average of just 3.96 seconds to let go of the ball after a pick-up or claim; only two goalkeepers have done so quicker. They are Bournemouth's Petrovic and Newcastle Nick Pope.

If as a fan you allow these people to gaslight you, na you Sabi o
Evra is not changing his mouth from katsina to kaduda, saying he doesn't hate arsenal that it is just banter and how he would love Arsenal to win. I just dey look de werey as he dey talk trash. There's a difference between banter and hate when you go over the line to construct and say things that ain't real just to play down the hard work of others. The same coach at st pauli that engaged in all forms of dirty tactics including pissing off the opponent minutes before start up is complaining, maybe e pain am as he see say Arsenal sabi do am pass him, cus it takes a time waster who's now wanting to win to recognise 2 seconds of time wasting from opponent.
