MSGAMBLE9:Ethan has slot into the AM role better than the right wing. With what we saw since MLS came into the midfield, I think he can play when Rice is off and the shift won't be much. Anybody they wan sign make them sign but I hope it's an upgrade or at least the same level to what we have and not a downgrade with potentials. Saka will be back to claim his spot when the season starts, cus he has sure had a good rest even at the world cup plus he still has to rest till season begins, so he will be fit. How Madueke and Dowman comes in will play a role in his season. |
MSGAMBLE9:if we can go for vini and pay 100m for him, it would be better than wasting it on english overhyped players. |
@ Mostob mosquera isn't just learning, he has proved that he can be a good cb in all his appearance last season. I can't right him off due to that ucl final error out of his natural position. There's a reason why we all was skeptical about him playing RB in the final and it happened. Yes White and Timber injury is there, why not go for a RB instead?. Saliba won't be going for surgery as the initial fears was, he just needs rest to be back. But my own is that 60m for konsa is not ideal. |
iamoyindamola:Nwaneri younger brother has already agreed to stay at Arsenal, I don't know what will happen with his elder brother. Ramsey is an average player to me, not the kind that can be an upgrade to what we have already. Zubimendi for all his errors and all played so well in the first half of last season that no one mentioned the comparison to partey till the second half when I believe fatigue had a hand in it all. He is a good player that can improve especially after his first season experience. We need a either a dm or central that can push the ones we've got. In that AM role, we have Eze, Odegaard and Merino and all three can be trusted to start and be rotated, but in the case of Rice and Zubimendi, it is only MLS that can enter in the conversation, so we need a good quality in that position. |
iamoyindamola:do we even need such profiles again in our team?. I was surprised we went for Rogers, going for Ramsey is just the same kind of deal to me. We have Odegaard and Eze for the no.8 position which is where dem two florish. Plus we still have Nwaneri that we don't know their plans for. We can use that money to go out for Guimaraes especially considering that norgaard is not rated much by Arteta. We can have Merino, Zubimendi, MLS, and Guimaraes in the absence of Rice. Seeing how much that central and dm role played so much we really need a player that can maintain that standard whenever one of Zubimendi or Rice needs rest. |
Shegzdave:i share same thoughts about him. To me he's like a low budget Eze with potential. What ever they want us to believe he can do, Eze can do that too. We need to seek real profiles for the positions we are lacking, not packing players up and down. I feel the same way about konsa that we are also romancing with. We have Mosquera and Ben white to fill in as cb, Timber will also be back and that will have us with a more than needed personels when saliba returns too. So why go for a 60m konsa when we can get a less value option who's young still and won't be just a quick fix. The pressure of winning a big project is off now a bit, so Arteta should trust his champions more and rotate often. |
MSGAMBLE9:crazy times!!!. Rogers for £117m €137m. I know he's a baller but I always quetions why we wanted him when we can look for other profiles. I actually love that we lost him, let's use that money and get what we need. Make he no turn to another mudryk. |
iamoyindamola:i prefer Guimaraes to Tonali that we were first linked with. In a world where players like Anderton and his likes are valued at 100m+ getting Guimaraes for 65m wouldn't be a bad deal. |
Martinelli played more like a false 9 today, dropping deep, distributing the ball and all. This is my first time watching him play in this world cup and his performance was good plus the goal to cap it all. |
Josh Kraenke “We are building a team with the ambition of winning the Champions League. To reach that level, we know we need to keep improving, and that includes bringing in players of the highest quality this summer. The process is ongoing, and I ask our supporters to be patient. Trust the process being done behind the scenes, and in time, everything will come together. Wish you good all of you. |
iamoyindamola:we are on the same page. I prefer Yildiz to those two |
mostob:to be honest, I don't know what happened with that Hussein Isa guy, I remember him for adverts more than working at Arsenal. I even forgot about Albert sef, yeah he's the man after Arteta. In the end, what i am trying to say is that in as much as our defence was better this season, we can't outright say that Heinze transformed the defence. The difference between this season and previous season was belief and mentality to win. From the attackers to the keeper, everyone knew the importance of tracking back and defending, and next season we have to balance it by having clinical attackers. Will Arsenal allow Arteta add a new background staff to his already high earning group?, especially now that a new contract is on the table for him?. |

mostob:ok, i get where you are going. But Jover has been working with Arteta since his man city days specifically for dead balls and cuesta was the main assistant. The same position cuesta occupied is the same position Heinze is in, the same job description, Heinze is not a defensive coach that was brought in to strengthen our defence, but Arteta's main assistant coach who also offers his ideas as a former manager too. Our attack wasn't as potent as we expected and even Arteta knows better about that. There's a reason why all our signing speculations are about attackers. Heinze is not a defensive coach in the crew of Arteta but his second hand man and the person who shares tactical aspect of the game, team selection, match analysis, training sessions with him. As a former defender and manager it was the right choice choosing him to close the gap left by cuesta. If Cuesta didn't leave, there would have been no reason to get Heinze. For jover, he has been working only on dead balls since his man city days with Arteta. |
mostob:he can't be adding another person to the coaching crew. Heinze came in to replace Cuesta who left to be a manager not because Arsenal needed a defensive coach. He needed to replace the vacancy in his coaching screw. We conceded 29 goals in 2024 and 34 on 2025 because of the many red cards and referee decisions and this season we conceded 27 goals, two less than 2024. But you can't say that the indiscipline in the team wasn't improving for better every year before Heinze came in. Saying we need an attacking coach is just the same as saying this season's defence was just because of Heinze. He was instrumental but not the reason for not conceding penalties and red cards. Didn't we concede penalties in the champions league?, and even the pgmol had to save us from penalties and red cards this season sometimes. |
BlueRayDick:most clubs understands that the world cup can change the price associated with their players, so they are dragging on that. I think only free transfers and players not going to the world cup are moving already. As a player, I no go even want to engage in club deals when world cup still dey start, I fit shine for world cup and negotiate better deal off it. |
iamoyindamola:yes definitely next season we will know the impact of this decision. |
mostob:i guess we need to sack Arteta and bring in that coach that broke Arsenal's epl record goals in 2024, that coach that his Arsenal team is first to score 80+ goals in two straight seasons 2023 and 2024, that coach that with the fastest Arsenal team to reach 200 epl goals, that coach with the highest number of goals scored in all competitions since 1930, that coach that his Arsenal team scored just 2 goals less in all competitions than Pep Guardiola great attack in 2025/2026 season. Yeah, that coach. Arteta dey try, make he just improve more next season. |
Happiest birthday to Arsenal's best striker at the moment. King Cobra Kai. £60m down the drain they said, but Kai Havertz always scored again and again.
|
iamoyindamola:i know the training pattern is usually extreme and requires a lot of work and running, but there are certain players whose injuries where reoccurring even without playing. Players like Norgard, Calafiori, Ben white, Odegaard and Timber. Everybody has to take responsibilities for their action. His job is to examine our players and give the best environmental for their recovery, but most times the time frame for injury returns never always be as he informs and the players ends up getting sidelined again. |
dominique:i doubt Arteta would let Martinelli go. His relentless and ability to cover tracks is so important for the team for him to go ahead of Trossard. Martinelli would just be another case of Luiz dias of Liverpool to bayern, our system limits him so much even though i am not taking the fact that he fuccks up sometimes away. I think Raphael Leao and kvaratshkelia are just another version of Martinelli, if we can bring out that attacking hunger in our players play fast attacking games, both Martinelli, madueke and Gyokeres will be hot next season. |
Come to think of it, every thing they said it's our problem with winning the epl was the same thing we didn't do to win it. They said we can't win without a striker that scores 20+ goals, and our striker scored the same range of goals as our previous forwards(13 - 15) They said we can't win the epl if we don't win at Anfield and Etihad, we lost at the two venue and still won the league They said set piece can't win us the league, we started and sealed the win with set piece. They said we can't win with by relaying on defence, we started and won the league with 1:0 scoreline. They said we can't win the league without improving our total points because city would be more deadly, and we won with less points than our previous title challenging seasons and still had 7 points more than city. I just know with the belief and mentality in this team now, we will be up there with the biggest clubs again for a long time. #coyg. |
yinkeys:bro na the same talk wey carry us go sign Gyokeres, you don forget?. Plus Osimhen is already injury prone not to talk of when he plays in epl and Arsenal setup that requires workload. His attitude is also another thing. At the moment kai is our best striker which is why we need another profile better than what he can bring. Alvarez is a better option but the amount involve might make us overlook him. |
