Eze is just playing regular cus of Odegaard absence, still yet to command a competition for when odegaard returns. Nelli in for Trossard and mosquera in for Saliba.
Go for the win.

We have jesus on bench and kai eventually entered guess who still stayed on till the end?
sometimes, everything depends on game plan you know. I will always repeat my stance that Eze is good in cup games where defence isn't too tight. Leaving Eze and talking about Gyokeres, yesterday he had the lowest rating among our players.

Is that enough to leave him till the end of the game
Person no play well our coach leave am for field so if it went sideways who's at fault
odegaard was out, kai is still coming back from an injury and shouldn't be rushed. There wasn't any other AM available aside the option of playing Saka in midfield.

bro, do you know we created more chances against utd than we did against Chelsea?.
Few weeks ago we had a talk about Eze and you kinda defended him which is understandable and then came the spurs game where he delivered. Fast forward to yesterday, he wasn't at his best again. Sometimes it is not just Arteta, but these players.
I remember when MSGAMBLE9 complained about starting Madueke ahead of Saka and the next match Saka was shit too. We can only talk as fans but the coach knows what he sees in training.

If we get paired in the same place as city
We will be meeting them 4 times in 4 weeks, icing on the cake can make it 5 times if they both paired in fact cup next round
we avoided City. Leverkusen route to the final is less stressful than atlanta routes I think. After Leverkusen it's either sporting or bodo in qf and then barca/atm/spurs/Newcastle in semi final. Everywhere good.

It was evident all along that Eze gets overwhelmed with the tactical demands of playing in this current Arsenal team. This Arsenal team is not some small Crystal palace where he is allowed to play free role, give the bearest minimum when it comes to tracking back his man and lose ball in critical part of the pitch without any serious consequence.

In this current Arsenal team as much as you have your primary role to play either as an attacker, playmaker, central midfielder or defender; you still have to be tactically aware and cover up not just for your own flaws but for other teammates' when the going gets tough. He really needs to work on his stamina and play with his head 100% in the game. He needs all the self awareness he can get when playing that playmaking role else he will find it difficult to bench Odegaard anytime he is fit.

As regards Gyokeres, I am not surprised he mentioned that he's beginning to understand his team mates better. We all saw the flaw in his positioning and runs which made passes difficult to get to him. And when the passes get to him, the pressure of trying to prove naysayers wrong has been really making him nervous leading to low output for him.

If he continues to make the kind of runs he mad yesterday particularly the one for the second goal which was from Odegaard's one touch pass, I don't see any reason why he shouldn't shine bright in the later part of the season. When he makes runs like that , it makes it very easy for his fellow players to pick him out with the right weighted pass. His first touch for that his first goal is also an improvement from the heavy first touch he's had for most part of the season .
we can only wish and expect that it isn't a one game thing, but a process moving forward.

Didn't we say it
Just yesterday I was telling you how Eze wasn't bad and gyokeres was starved.
The funny thing is the guy una they defend they open up sometimes and admit his flaws.
When we criticised him we already see the flaws which he's supposed to correct them but his defensive mindset wouldn't.
I am sure if we had drawn the match, una go scapegoat rice
bro, I think you get me wrong sometimes. I didn't say Gyokeres is bad, you can dig up to say my post about him. I was just about his positioning and lack of getting into space at the right time. Yes Eze and Arteta finally found a way to make it click, thank God for that. But you know my only worry was about his epl performance, of which he surprised me yesterday again, and I give him that.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 9:12am On Feb 23
In the post match interview of Arteta and Gyokeres, you would see exactly what the problem has been all along.
Eze once complained that the tactical aspect of the game is usually overwhelming and Arteta also said then that his lessons learnt was perhaps on the tactical part too.
Yesterday Gyokeres said he is finally understanding his team mates. Which is evident with the runs he made yesterday and the positions he got into yesterday. Arteta admitted to finally being able to figure out how to use Eze. I believe he should have also figured out how to use the others too.
Our wingers made more inward runs as opposed to always running on the wings. At some point Saka was in the middle while Trossard drifted to the right.
Hincapie gave Trossard the chance to play inwards and influence the game more by overlapping properly.
Mosquera, hmm. Solid performance. Very solid.
After that Rice mistake, he played so much like his life depended on avoiding any mistake. 💪
Raya proved to have forgotten and let behind him the mistake of last week.
That same commitment and energy towards the remaining 10 epl finals and we are sure of celebrating like the did at spursy, but this time with a real trophy.

What a performance from Gyokeres!!!. He was in the game from the first minute.
Timber should be resting more and white play.
Tottenham made it hard for themselves and we exploited it.
Aside from Trossard and Timber and that error from Rice I think everyone knew 💯 what was required.

Remind me how many games we won consecutively when Merino was leading the line for us please. Immediately Brock Lesnar came back from injury, everything changed. I wouldn't fault a coach for trying to integrate his striker on time for his long term goal. I would blame him for not reverting back to the basic when it's clear the striker is more interested in boxing than actually playing football.
someone said we only concede when we sub Gyokeres, but I can also say anytime we sub Gyokeres just know that the opponent is beginning to gain control over us. Against Brentford and wolves i was so angry with Gyokeres cus wtf!!. I wasn't expecting him to score 30 goals a season but at least do the basics right and let it remain that you missed the chances you got. Havertz would do everything right, put his body and soul in the game and end up missing some chances, but their motm doesn't even do half of the work Havertz does up front not to talk of scoring or missing the chances cus his positioning most times is off. If we're to win this league, I think Kai has more to offer in the long run. Injuries to Jesus and Kai made it possible to be playing Gyokeres more than necessary which made most of his adaptation hard for everyone.

They did more than this when Havertz newly came. Spy dey try sha. That guy stuck to his opinion.
Now, they're silently praying Havertz comes back on time despite the fact that their favourite is fit as fiddle. The trophyless years really did something terrible to the mind of some fans. Can the guys just win this one for their sake abeg
i for one, sometimes question if we can get this over the line too. That trauma is there even though we might try to downplay it. I don't have issue with anyone blaming Arteta, I really don't. But where the issue for me lies, is in saying the players are not part of the issue.

No Eze isn't bad
Every player have strength and weakness
We have a coach that believe in defence first before attack, our attacking players leaves their primary duty and focus more on defence
That's why our goals have dried out because combining the 2 is task full for some players.
Eze excel in free spaces, one touch play and risk passes. Can Arteta give him that? No, same issues with Saka, Odegaard and maybe Martinelli these guys can score handful but their goals dried out since last season.
Will you say they are bad players? There are matches these guys score and still get criticised by Arteta coaching team because they left their defensive positions
I believe attack and defence should be balanced in a team not 75% defence and 25% attack
Arteta priorities defence over attack, yes. Has it been working out, yes. Even though we can question the goals scored but we haven't been so bad up front either. Against Liverpool, we were supposed to win that game in the first half with the amount of chances we generated but our forwards were no where to be found. Eze for one can never have that kind of space as when he was at palace, and his inability to track back is so clear even a team like wolves would feel it. He's not bad, but so far he is not doing the basics requires to play for Arsenal under Arteta.
Don't get me wrong, I know Arteta does fucck up, but if we can be honest with ourselves, they players are also part of the whole problem.

I didn't say gyokeres did something special o but he's hasn't done bad either
But we all agreed before the season start that Arteta doesn't have excuse why are we now going after players instead of him.
I remember vividly before we got gyokeres and Eze we all said the squad is good enough
yes the squad is good on paper but both you and I have seen how it is on match days. Oya can you start Eze today if you're the coach. Many chances he has gotten in epl for so long now have been wasteful but same approach and system in cup games he will turn up, where do you think the problem is?. Because we said Arteta doesn't have an excuse because of the squad doesn't deny the fact that injuries have affected the system and the backup plus even the main players de fucvk up on a steady. Rice always complaining and shouting to his team mates is clear enough to tell us that the standards set by the coach and themselves is too high to be this mediocre. We can blame the coach yes, but we shouldn't turn a blind eye to what they players are doing.

7 years and we are still finding excuses for the serial failure, how does it sound to you guys sef
We had the chance to have gone 12 points and reduce the fear of comeback from any club but we are back again hoping and praying history don't repeat itself but we will rather find one or two players to scapegoat.
you want to blame the coach alone, i want to share the blame exactly how it is due, don't call that gas lighting bro. Against Nottingham forest, tell me how and where Arteta got wrong. Lets start with that one.
Yes, 6 year and going to 7 without a significant trophy, of course that is bad in itself, who says it isn't?. But you being blinded by his past failures and not to see how the fault isn't only his this season is a problem. Every single active coach that you have ever mentioned their name when talking about upgrading Arteta has surely underperformed than him recently, which means that if you have that power to make a change, personally you would have gotten it wrong a couple of times. Points dropped against Sunderland, wolves, Nottingham forest, Aston villa for me are basically on the players and their inability to.....

What did gyokeres do, how many chances as he missed?
How many chances were created for him?
The stats are there and also compare him with sesko
Moreover sesko rejected Arteta because he's weak, he can only survive in scummies united
Gyokeres hasn't done anything special for me and nothing significant better than what we had. How many chances has he missed?, i should be asking you to provide the stats not the other way round. The fact is that Sesko in a much weaker team and with his weak mentality is doing more than Gyokeres with less game time. Period.

We are with Raya now and the problem persists right?
If ramsdale cost us the league what is Raya currently doing and I should blame Raya for what?
Did I put him in the team?
If the manager can't take responsibility for his tactics and players he should resign abeg
fif he plays Kepa ahead of Raya you lots will also complain how he is leaving the best legs on the bench, now the best legs go commit blunder and automatically the blame is on the coach. Nice one. Shebi na tactics makes Gyokeres not to man up when he gets the ball or always drag it out of position?, shebi na tactics makes Trossard not to release ball on time and always try to dribble, shebi na tactics makes our players to delay shooting when necessary, shebi na tactics caused Raya to make double blunders, shebi na tactics dey make Saliba dey gba sometimes. Well I guess it is actually tactics indeed
