BastardWike: Some of you can be very funny when you tag a heterogeneous zone made up of diverse ethnic groups and present them as one with one ideology. You can't possibly tag South South the same way we tag South East or South West that are homogeneous. Do you know why? It's because a Calabar man has nothing in common with an Itshekiri man, a Bini man has nothing in common with an Ejagham man. They are not only geographically unconnected but also culturally, linguistically and etymologically unrelated.
As for Boko Haram hitting South, that's neither here nor there. It will be very difficult for them to launch attacks on Southerners consecutively like they're doing in the North without severe consequences. Down East, we value human lives and hold it sacred. I was in Aba during the late 90's and early 2000's when religious riots was common place in the North, but each time they kill Southerners, there was always reprisals in Aba where hundreds of barbecued Northerners will litter the roads and streets of Aba. However, I'm afraid for the South West because the terrorists could latch on Islam as a tool to penetrate and wreak havoc. The moment they're able to get indigenous Muslim fanatics there, it is all over. Don't say it's not possible because indoctrination is a form of brainwashing that can make people want to kill or die trying. Brother correct your write up there nothing like a Calabar man , Calabar is the State capital of Cross River, there is no ethnic group in Nigeria that is Calabar. |

Nowenuse: As it stands, Nasarawa state is something like 70-75% Christians, because of Karu urban.
Karu Urban has an estimated 2 million people currently and 90% of Karu urban are Christians.
That 55- 60% Christian is what Nasarawa normally is without Karu urban.
Akwanga was more developed than Lafia in the old Plateau state. I measured Akwanga & Lafia recently and Lafia is just about twice the size of Akwanga now.
You can imagine Lafia being the state capital for 24 years now and it is still less than 50km². That should tell u what it was like before it was made capital.
Although, Lafia will never grow anymore because of Karu. Lafia is a glorified village, no Development |
Politics › Re: Northern Nigeria Is 35-40% Christian (proofs) by ggood: 3:06am On Dec 15, 2020 |
Nowenuse: My problem with you is that you do not even know the demography of the places you are giving religious percentages. I have interacted with thousands of people from all over almost every LGA of the north. I have also travelled to these places. I have met with their leaders. I belong to their social media groups (of over a hundred tribes). I know these places far more than you do, so, when I give u statistics, try to take them cos I can give u LG to LG and tribe to tribe analysis of these places.
Kaduna state would have been like 55 or even 60% muslims if there was no significant number of Christians in Northern Kaduna.
I myself used to accept 55% muslims in Kaduna, not until I came across Hausa Christians from Northern Kaduna and they explained their area for me. Do you know the population of Hausa Christians in Ikara LGA? They are up to 35% of that LGA! They are in the interior rural areas and most of them wear kaftan & hijab like muslims and speak strong Hausa cos they are native Hausa speakers. You can hardly differentiate them from Muslims. Hausa indigene Christians are all over Soba, Giwa, Makarfi, Kudan, Igabi and Zaria LGAs. Hausa land in Northern Kaduna is at least 20% indigenous Christians, but Hausa Christians are a very very timid people and that is why they seem very invisible and people wrongly think that Northern Kaduna is entirely muslim.
There are more indigenous Christians in Northern Kaduna than there are indigenous Muslims in Southern Kaduna. Most muslims in SK are Hausa fulani settlers.
Also, Birnin Gwari, Kubau & Igabi are considered pure Hausa LGAs, but ⅓ of these 3 LGAs belong to Gbagyis, Kamuku & Kurama christians.
The thing is that Christians tend to be very quiet, timid and respectful in a place that they are a minority, but muslims will still make noise and cause trouble in a place that they are a minority (making it look like they are significant in that place).
Do you know the population of Hausa Christians in Kano & Katsina? They are up to 20% of the indigenous population of both states, but you never hear anything from them.
Only a very big joker will say Gombe is up to 70% muslim. Are u aware that Gombe south is 90% Christian? Then 2 of the 3 LGAs in Gombe central (Akko & Yamaltu) are up to 35% Christian?
I am proud of it! After all, I wasn't the one who started it in Nigeria, was I? I too like this guy I like your statistics keep it up bro nothing do you. have been reading your topic since yesterday am still awake . thump up brother |
Politics › Re: Northern Nigeria Is 35-40% Christian (proofs) by ggood: 2:46am On Dec 15, 2020 |
Nowenuse: What Efewestern is saying is very clear and understandable. Igbos & SS minorities put together in one country will be like 65% Igbo.
But if SS minorities are one country, no single ethnic group will be up to 35% of the country, not even if all Ijaw clans combine or all the Ibibio-Efik-Anang people combine. It will be a sort of balance.
But to be sincere, 2 major ethnic groups may end up forming a sort of coalition in order to dominate the rest. Just like what exists in Kenya today. Just that it will not be as bad a 1 ethnic group dominating the country.
However I think Southern minorities are just too scared. What stops them from making negotiations with Igbos to arrange for a country of loosed Confederacy (something like the UK) where everyone controls his own republic within the country and has every right to pull out whenever they like? Do they prefer the status quo in Nigeria where their oil wealth is being monopolized by Hausa fulanis & Yorubas to an extent? Southern minorities have an extreme case of 'Minority paranoia syndrome'. Igbo can not be trusted we not scared |

LukasPodolski: Will you keep quiet?
Who surrendered to Fulanis? That's how useless people like you spread falsehood.
Which other town apart from Ilorin is being ruled by Fulanis? Tell me
since democracy, all the governors are Yoruba
1999-2003 ------ Muhammed Alabi Lawal Yoruba
2003-2011 ---- Bukola Saraki Yoruba
2011-2019---- Abdulfatah Ahmed Yoruba
2019 ---- AbdulRahman Abdulrasaq Yoruba
So how did Yoruba people surrendered to Fulanis, The emir of Ilorin doesn't have any power over towns in Kwara south.
There is no presence of fulani in Ilorin to start with.
Were you expecting Kwarans to start killing themselves because of a mere traditional title, so we should turn Kwara to Jos, a battle ground..
Most of you guys are oloriburuku, I mean confirm oloriburuku.
The Fulanis are not the ones ruling Kwara. Get that to your empty skull So why did you people have Emir in Kwara State since is not a conquer Territory. it's Only in Kwara State that you see Emir among all the Yoruba State. Kwara is a conquer Territory |
Politics › Re: Which Parts Of The North Are Christian - Dominated? by ggood: 3:39pm On Dec 14, 2020 |
Nowenuse: The first governor of Nasarawa state (Abdullahi Adamu) was actively supported by SOLOMON LAR, cos he was Solomon Lar's former deputy governor in old Plateau state and close friend.
Solomon Lar (the old godfather of Plateau state) supported Abdullahi Adamu over his rival SOLOMON EWUGA! And that was how a Plateau man foolishly stamped in Muslim domination on Nasarawa state.
Immediately Adamu became governor, he swore that over his dead body for a christian to rule Nasarawa state.
And Adamu is an Afo man, go to Afo villages and towns all over Keffi & Nasarawa LGAs, and count the number of Christians & Muslims, Christians clearly outnumber Muslims 70-30!
Apart from the Egbura people in Toto LGA, no other indigenous ethnic group of Nasarawa state is muslim majority among the about 30 ethnic groups that make up Nasarawa state. The Egburas are not even the majority in Toto LGA, the Bassas who are the majority there are 95% Christian.
So, yes, it is true! No LGA in Nasarawa state is muslim majority, it doesn't exist, but meanwhile, there are LGAs like Karu, Akwanga, Kokona & Nass Eggon that are up to 90% Christian. your talking sense is if you from Nasarawa State |
Politics › Re: Which Parts Of The North Are Christian - Dominated? by ggood: 3:28pm On Dec 14, 2020 |
Nowenuse: The problem with Nasarawa started in OLD PLATEAU STATE!
Plateau Christians wanted to carry the muslim minorities along in everything cos we never knew these people were evil. Then in old Plateau state, every deputy appointment was meant for Lower Plateau (Nasarawa) people and it was always given to a muslim. It's not as if Muslims were more in lower Plateau, but just for the sake of carrying everybody along.
So by the time Nasarawa state was created, all the big shots in the state were Muslims! They formed a muslim clique (led by Abdullahi Adamu) and since then vowed that by hook or crook, a Christian will never rule Nasarawa state. wow your Right ,. one Old man in Lafia told me the same thing you just said |

[quote author=Nowenuse post=96959849]Let me help you out, as an activist for northern Christians and minorities.
Benue, Plateau, Kogi, Tararaba, Adamawa, Nasarawa and FCT are clearly Christian majority states.
KADUNA state has more Christian Indigenes (60%), but over the years, so many Muslim immigrants from other state has diluted it and it's now like 50-50.
Gombe, Niger & Kwara states are at least 40% Christian.
Borno, Bauchi & Kebbi states are about 25% Christian. The southern parts of these states are majority Christian.
Katsina state is about 15% Christian. About 6 LGAs in the South of Katsina state (Kafur, Malumfashi, Funtua, Bakori, Kankia & Dutsin-Ma) are heavily christian. Most of the rural areas and villages in these LGAs are Christian.
Yobe & Kano states are also indigenously around 15% Christian. However, Boko Haram seriously displaced Yobe Christians from around Potiskum area and now they may be less than 10% in the state.
For Kano state, so many other Muslim immigrants from other states and Niger republic have seriously reduced this figure. However, LGAs like Tudunwada, Sumaila, Rogo, Bebeji, Shanono & Doguwa (all in Southern Kano) have hundreds of Christian villages.
In Jigawa & Zamfara, there also exist Christian communities (like full fledged Christian villages) e.g Roni LGA of Jigawa has Christian villages. However, in both states, the Christian population should be around 5%.
Sokoto is the only state in the North where I doubt it is possible to find entire villages that are originally majority Christian. [/quote[/
