Let’s give it a try. So, one day there is a pan-African referendum.. In this referendum the posed question is: “Should African Union de-legalize all kinds of foreign aid, including financial, material and other?”. Few hundred million people say “yes”. Now it’s officially illegal to help Africa. Now, fast forward few years. Let’s see what happened. What changes into better: 1. With lack of the humanitarian aid, Africa gets rid of humanitarian money-driven wars and catastrophes. TV and internet suddenly got lesscatastrophic. No more black kids being hugged by Angelina Jolie on every other billboard. No more UNICEF asking you for money blackmailing with of all the people who “would die without you”. They can’t send money to Africa, so they ceased working.* *Ok, in fact they just abuse Asia and South America more now. Interestingly, it seems like indeed there are fewer catastrophes happening. Maybe because Africans address them themselves, with local knowledge. Situations like Goma camp happen less. In Goma, Western humanitarian aid was, in fact, financing the Hutu army - responsible for genocide. Less hunger. Yes, you hear me right. Like in Ethiopia, where the regime was creating situation of catastrophe to get rid of the opposition and get rich on the customs imposed on the humanitarian aid. Fewer warlords who are indirectly financed by the humanitarian aid they can prey on. 2. Amounts on the accounts of some African assholes stop raising. With lack of aid in general many inter-governmental shady deals disappear. It’s impossible now to hide corruption under developmental aid. You could even make a case it made African governments less dependent! 3. Remember the pretentious hippie-looking jerk, who was all about telling the chicks how he was helping in Africa and showing shiny amulets? Good news, he’s gone. No more Western NGOs (or MONGO’s - My Own NGOs) buying off land or getting money from i.e. Europe just to finance lifestyle of their own workers (having operational costs at 40–50%). No more sending lost, naïve, but rich Western kids to Africa just so they could steal jobs from locals. Finally the job done by those hippies is done by Africans, for a market price that fuels the economy. Cutting the aid and the influx of volunteers saves Africa from a lot of parasitic relations and helps to make its economies more rational. Same goes with: 4. Most of the senseless projects (which don’t take into account local environments and, in fact, worsen situation, instead of making it better) disappear. Now, local authorities more often prioritize their actions based on their own assessment of needs, not on “what do they give money for now?”. 5. Lack of material help revives small enterpreneurship. Remember the granny who stole your old shoes and clothes to send them to Africa? She has to do bingo now. In result, a lot of small businesses appear in Africa. Turns out, now thousands of people are making shoes, tailoring clothes, and make a good living out of it. It seemed it was impossible before, right? It’s better than that! The money their customers spend stays in Africa. All you had to do is stop sending your old shit there. Culled fro Quora |

Asperger Syndrome: A mental condition that makes it difficult for a person to form relationships, and can make them very interested in one particular thing, also known as Asperger's, is a developmental disorder characterized by significant difficulties in social interaction and non verbal communication along with restricted and repetitive patterns of behaviour and interest. Although not required for diagnosis, physical clumsiness and unusual use of language are common signs, usually begins before two years old and typically last for a person's entire life. The exact cause of Asperger's is unknown. While it is partial inherited, the underlying genetics have not been determined conclusively. |

Shopping online can be a lot cheaper, more convenient and less time-consuming than buying on the high street or market. Tips to take while you shop online # Make sure that the site you are buying from is trustworthy. Stick to well known websites, and if in doubt check out user reviews. # When you come to enter your card details, ensure the website address starts with https:// (rather than the normal http://). This means the page is encrypted so no one can read it and steal your data. # Use a credit card instead of a debit card; Credit cards can be safer choice for online shopping; If someone manages to intercept your financial information online, they can do less damage and you have more resource than if you'd used a debit card. This is for two reasons: i. Credit cards have spending limits, while debit cards which are directly linked to your bank account- do not ii. You can dispute fraudulent charges made to a credit card without being out-of-pocket the amount in dispute, but money withdrawn directly from your checking account by a debit card is much more difficult to recover. *Consider using a credit card with a low credit limit specifically for your online purchases. Few Nigerian banks offer credit cards. # Print or save a copy of your orders; It's always a good idea to keep documentation of your online purchases. Most retailers will send you an email or refer you to a webpage with a confirmation of your purchase; this page should include a purchase receipt and a confirmation number. Print or save the confirmation and keep it until you receive your order. # Use strong passwords for shopping account; Often, one of the most critical security steps is the one we give least attention to- our passwords. Passwords can be the best security defenses we have, but if they are not created properly, a hacker can easily guess them For any online shopping account you have, be sure to create good passwords. |
