But seriously, you can get through the whole pregnancy without doctor getting to shook hand inside but on labour day, they can't proceed without it, but it's not even a big deal compared to labour.

One of the things I hate most about labour is them inserting a catheter to drain urine, I hate it so much. Just zero your mind that they that the vj is no longer yours for the day, things would enter and come out , just keep your eye on the prize.

Am not a mum am here on behalf of my wife, she didn't know anything about Nairaland, as a first time parent to make a complain about our 18 months old hyper active son, hoping to find a remedy. This guy has turned an once quite house to a commotion hall, i say commotion becouse no any other word to define his headache causing behaviors during the day time, he has so much bruises gotten from all curiosity adventures, this guy can can strangle a cat, put press iron or heater in wall socket, place pot on fire, sweep the room with broom, jumb on the bed, on the tv and fan , wash his cloth, bath himself witth any available water dirty or colored, go under the jeep ,just name it and its there. The only way to stop him was thru the cane and i read somewhere in this forum that using cane will make him stubborn in near future .all me my wife want to know is Plss at what age hyper active child stop these behavior.

You haven't even seen two yet, he's acting his age sha, you would shout until you grow grey hair, but it's the age. If you flog him for bathing in dirty water, it won't stop him bathing in dirty water next time he sees it. I don't think their brain works like that at this age. Just keep away from things he shouldn't be playing with, try to occupy him when he's bored. By 3 he would start moving on to other things.

Good morning mamas, pls is it advisable to buy a baby cot. So many people have told me it's a waste of money, that they don't sleep in it. What do you guys think? I am thinking getting those small foldable beds with mosquito nets though so baby can co sleep with me.

Baby would sleep wherever you want them to sleep, it depends on how you condition them. Personally tho
I think it's a waste of money and space to buy a cot except you live in a really spacious house as opposed to an apartment. Buy a graco playpen instead, the baby can sleep in it as a newborn and when they finally stop sleeping in it, they can play in it until when they're toddlers, and the good part is that you can always fold it up when not in use, its really portable.

2. Also her face complexion is lighter compare to her body and she has tiny rashes there. None on her body. I always wipe with wet clothes or wipes after her feeding session.

3. I do use breast pad due to leakages. Can I use diaper wipes to clean before and after feeding her? I've been cleaning with water but won't be that easy wen we start going out.

1&2: I think that's just her complexion, it would blend out as she gets older. What kind of wipes are you using, stop using wipes on her face, maybe just the wet towel. You can buy baby tribotan for the rashes.

3. The cleaning before and after breastfeeding is unnecessary.

Hey, strong cough and cattarh in babies is often caused by infection, take him to the hospital, they would run tests and prescribe the right antibiotics.

Just use a nailcutter, preferably a small one. If you don't have the heart then ask his dad or omugwuo people to do it.

It's all about the mind, don't anticipate pain. The doctor is not going to insert his finger where there's no space to put his finger, so it's not like he's going in there tearing flesh. The worst that can happen is that your hp would be on fire when he's done because of the discomfort, but the more relaxed you can be the more efficient he'd be.

I use boots cuz they're cheap but my kids didn't really use bottles. Hunniesuzzie. Try to introduce the formula at least 2 weeks before creche, it might take some practice before he learns to accept it

It's normal to have doubts especially for a baby as young as yours. Just try to find a good creche. If possible find one close to your office so you can drop by during the day.

Once you find a good creche, they would take care of your baby. You just have to tell them how you want him to be fed and changed and they would do that. The worst that can happen is that they may not carry him every single time he cries, but that would make him less clingy, making it easier for you at home.

I'd suggest you avoid 'one man business' kinds of creche. Find one attached to a school and make sure the creche is located in such a way that other people can see what goes on in the creche (not tucked away at the back of the school with no cameras). The nanny there should have an assistant or two depending on how many kids they're handling. Check for ones that have rockers, swingers, play pens, things that can keep your baby comfortable all through the day, since he doesn't move around much for now.

I don't know which one is the normal sebamed but if it has nothing about babies written on it, then don't use it for them, I learnt that the hard way . You can use Aveeno.

Both my kids also got a rash when they were a few days old, I used baby tribotan for it but even if you ignore it, it would clear on its own too after a while.

Congrats and welcome. Sebamed is very good, one of the best you can use for your babies, though they're expensive and you have twins, but if you don't mind the price...

Same as for food. Stack her plate high and ensure she sits in front of you eating.

For her classmates stuff I think you should do something firmly , make an appearance at the school or something.

These matters just tire me it’s why I’ve refused to have a help anymore! I can’t be growing grey hair from training another person’s child who doesn’t want to learn!

I think she would finish those crates and wait for more, she's not normal. I've finally found something that kinda scares her, which is threatening to send her back to her father.

You should be happy she eats a lot, as long as its healthy food and not junk.

About the hyper activity and scattering, she's just being her age. Try to sha set a regular sleeping time every day. My daughter is the same way both with the eating and playing, but she sleeps mid day- 2 pm or more everyday. Even the days she doesn't want to, i make her lie down and cry while i tap her back until she sleeps, that's the only way to get any sanity during the day, plus she gets cranky if she doesn't sleep.

Is there no way to control it, manage it or stop it because there may be moments when they may be alone and I'm wondering if baby won't start getting scared of her. Just thinking out on how parents manage siblings relationship.

She's two so there's only so much I can do. I don't let her do it when I'm there, so she's taken to doing it when she sees that they're alone. She's seen him as a rival since he was born, but I think as she grows older and starts to understand that he's her brother their relationship would change. I think she's taken to just screaming at him because she knows she can't hit or push him, but she'd outgrow it.

I have done all I know to do, bite him back, hit him back, said no, even scolded him but he seems to forget n do it again... Very painful bites for that matter, n now when u want to hit him or when I loose it n scold him, I see fear all over him, he blinks several times n then starts to cry.... N goes really quiet... I need to pull him back again to make him jovial or something... I'm just worried so he doesn't go about biting people in his crèche but how do I do this without crushing his confidence(for lack of a better word)? Scolding abi shouting at him is making him act somehow(on days I don't spank him out of anger) Pls I'll be waiting for experienced mamas to help me chook mouth

Please don't beat him since he doesn't seem to be doing it on purpose. You've not witnessed two, where he would think he can get everything he wants by beating and biting. For now just keep scolding him whenever he does it, that's how I shout for my son when he bites my nipple. Don't start beating when its unnecessary before he would turn odeshi

Please I need advise.
I went for scan yesterday (on my own just to see how the baby is doing). Everything is okay except for the placenta position which is.. Placenta: Posterior Fundal. I asked the sonographer if there is need to go to hospital before my appointment day 17th of this Month but he said no need that it may change position before that day.

I am worried with what I read on google about it.
Has any one experienced this before? Is it something to be worried about? Is it normal? Is there anything I can do about it?
Am a FTM.

Secondly my first appointment the doctor(woman) that attended to me I didn't really like her service. She didn't ask me anything except for my LMP and then she gave me my card to collect drugs. I was given calcium,folic acid and iron and also an injection on my arm.
I didn't know what to ask as well because it's my first time.
I am going again this month please is there anything I need to ask?

For the placenta, I don't think there's any need to worry about it until at least January, you can scan again by then and see if it's changed.

I think the placenta issue is one of the topics you should have discussed with your doctor. Also try to gather up all your questions during the month and save them for your next appointments. The doctors just scan through your file, and if there's no issue of concern, they would just do the mandatory physical checkup and try to dismiss you asap to free up time for other patients, especially for 1st appointments.

During my first pregnancy, I used to purposely prolong my antenatal sessions by asking things like:

'When is my next TT'
'How is my PCV'
'Where is my baby's head now'

I cannot spend two hours in the waiting room to comman spend one minute with the doctor.

Anyone can write anything on the internet. Mike knows next to nothing about Nigeria so I find it hard to believe that he ever went to school here. He was in the garden once with Venita in the afternoon and he was guessing that the time was 8pm or something, Venita had to explain to him that Nigeria doesn't have the midnight sun thing like the UK does.

I believe he's at least half Nigerian tho and he loves being Nigerian. Maybe he did an ancestry DNA test that told him he was high percentage Nigeria, or his mum told him he was Nigerian without giving him any more details.

She broke Biggie's rules multiple times and she was disqualified. What happened to her is her responsibility and she should stop behaving like a child and do the stupid interview and go home. Her family has been waiting for her since morning because of her refusal to oblige to the interview. Doesn't she have any sympathy for them? What sort of stupid person is this Tacha sef? And the whole talk about using her to make money is bullshit. What money are the organizers to make from an ordinary interview? She kept breaking rules from Day 1 and they kept putting up with her, using her to make money until just a week before the show. You can't just ignore the fact that biggie and his sponsors obviously used her. If I'm her I would not say a word at that interview, let them go to court. Show business is a cruel world.
