But I’ve been trying to put him on my breast for 2 days now and he keeps rejecting my breast . I just end up giving him formula. Now my breast are so full and hard and very painful. It’s even leaking. But still he won’t suck. I really want to breastfeed him. What can I do. I tried pumping with electric bottle pump
Today but that thing is too slow . I need your expertise please

You just have to keep trying before he gets too used to the bottle. Always offer him breast first when he's hungry and keep trying for a while before u finally offer formula. And keep pumping for now, even with the slow pump so that your breastmilk production doesn't reduce.

At the bolded is what I used to know and expect of newborns but the thing is she has jaundice so was advised to feed her well so she can poo, but I think the poo yesterday is ok.

Ok biko make sure the jaundice is really gone before you relax. I thought there was supposed to be another text to confirm its gone.

Ok, didn't know they say that for all babies. I was told at the hospital to do something like that for my son cuz his blood sugar was low at birth but I fed GB on demand. I used to look forward to those hot water massages that MIL would give her to knock her out. And she would always wake up to eat when she's hungry. They grow out of that phase quickly enough anyway.

Don't wake her to feed. You're supposed to be looking forward to those after bath sleeps, its the only time to do you. Leave her to sleep as long as she wants, she will always wake up when she's hungry. She still thinks she's in the womb, she would soon outgrow this stage and you'll miss it. And she'd start putting on weight then.

Since she's taking water well, it's possible she took more BM than formula in recent days and her body has utilized all of it so no poop.

Thank you ma, she can't claim it is from my house cause I bought it late last night and only opened it this morning to prepare breakfast, she was comparing it with the weevils in the semovita a customer of hers bought and said she told the customer to sieve it, was she implying I sieve weevils or whatever those insects were from the cereal before I feed my baby? That really pissed me off. I'm reporting this to the estate authority and the whatsapp group since she could even bounce the call on me cos it was my sister I sent to return it. I don't even buy things from her unless she's the only one available but I'd avoid her completely henceforth.

Ewoooo this is serious. She is even proud of her weevils. That's really bad then, I like the steps you're taking already. Narrate your case in the WhatsApp group and mention that she compared it to the weevils in semovita . Nothing somebody would not see in this world. Which cereal is this biko, in case I'm missing something?

Pls what are the actions I can take in this matter.
I bought cereal to feed my son last night, this morning while fetching into his plate, I saw live insects moving around in his plate obviously from the tin of cereal, I took videos of everything. I am still too shocked to say much about this. What action can be taken pls. I first tried returning it, but the seller refused collecting or exchange or refunding me.

I don't think there's really anything you can do, it doesn't seem like a factory fault. It's between you and the shop owner. Maybe it was damaged during transportation or storage and ants found their way in. But the shop owner would claim that the ants could have as well gotten in in your house so it's really just your word against his. I don't think there's really anything you can do now except avoid the shop cuz of the owner's poor customer services and next time check that seal is still intact before buying.

Yeah, just pet him and if he runs temperature give paracetamol. This particular immunization doesn't usually come with much drama, its the next three that are the tough ones. If your son is still not acting okay in 24 hours, take him to the hospital.

To my lovely e family here, My Prince Charming arrived last night nov 4 weighing 3.4kg via emergency c section as the cord was tied around the neck after being in labour for 2 days and I didn’t dilate more than 2cm but I saw hell. At first I was leaking so I was admitted . Then my water broke last night but still no dilating. My boy is the cutest thing ever. Both mom and boy are doing absolutely great. Have to heal now

These doctors work hand in hand pharmaceutical reps trying to sell new drugs. You're right to ask first, read the leaflet well before taking and if you don't like it, ask to have it changed at your next appointment.

Your best bet now is to work someone who is very familiar with getting letters of administration and who knows people at the probate, the downside is that they would charge you heavily for their help.

I believe the kids can sense that something else (the belle) is beginning to take your attention and naturally they get more clingy. Nights with GB were really bad when I was pregnant, remembering it now sef gives me goosebumps. One fake pastor even came and prophesied that she was crying so much at night cuz she was seeing things, there's no how the pastor could have known she was crying at night so I concluded it was a normal thing that happened to babies her age with pregnant mums. My only regret is that I indulged GBs shenanigans for so long, my entire third trimester was one long sleepless night.

We finally exiled her to go and share a room with little cousin, that one sleeps like a log, so once GB saw that nobody sends her night drama anymore, she started to sleep through the night again.

Me wey think am keeping this Pregnancy a secret even my mum is mot aware and she keeps calling everyday and praying for me(plan telling telling her next month ending though), the only people that know about this is myself, hubby , our pastor, people here(faceless forum) and my TTC sister(faceless forum also)... Biko do as your hubby suggested, you don't need the stress because you'll be seeing them almost everyday. Had one annoying man in my office then that was bent on telling everyone I was pregnant because he noticed it early. This is how I used to respond to him.

Him: You're pregnant
Me: You're the one that is pregnant.
Him: Hormones are disturbing you
Me: It's you that hormones are disturbing.
Him: This your pregnancy is up to 4months, I know because I have experience.
Me: It's your own pregnancy that's almost at due date, can't you see your pot belly.

People always want to show off their experience when it comes to spotting pregnancy, as if anyone is offering prizes. And them wanting to be the one to announce it to everyone is what's really annoying.

There's Heinz baby cereal for 4month olds, id attach a picture. Any other cereal you buy, make sure it's marked 4months+. You can also occasionally give pap with plenty formula, maybe just before bed to knock her out

Just came back from antenatal and the Dr said things that got me worried,he said my baby is quite small for the age.. Actually it's too small and was asking if I'm sure baby kicks... It was even annoying me sef, me that as I'm typing, baby is kicking... So he asked if I've done scanat all, I said twice.... He said if by the next time I come, he doesnt like what he sees, he will ask for another scan... Now I'm abit worried... Anyone with similar issues? Is it OK? Do I eat more? Rest more? Sleep more? Or remove my mind... Pls don't ignore o... I'm 22wks...hd a 4.7kg baby n he said I don't look like u had a 4kg baby.. I just tire.

What's your baby's weight, they usually have a chart where they would compare your baby's weight to the ideal weight to tell you how far behind it is. You can Google up the chart then do a scan and compare by yourself too. This doctor sounds like someone that likes raising false alarms sha because I don't see why he couldn't do a scan right away and settle your mind before you leave, instead of turning false prophet.

Inukwa , you did not explain the job description well. For the next one, explain that you're looking for house keeper but that she would also help you hold baby sometimes. She is supposed to be permanently stationed at the kitchen or wherever the bulk of the work is, then called into your room occasionally when needed. You can pay her a little higher than the normal salary cuz she'd b combining chores with baby. Always discuss salary well. This lady now would be watching tv like she's doing you a favour until month end when she'd hit you with the bill.

Is he divorced? How does he have two boys and no wife? What does he do for a living? Maybe you should date him for a while and get to really know him first before making any serious commitments. No one has to know you're dating him for at least the first one year, you guys can do long distance then you visit when you have long breaks and vice verse to get to know more about him. After which you can decide to make more solid commitments or break it off

Mamas pls who has her baby received rota virus vaccine this October from a primary health center? If yes pls which phc is that? I have checked ambode phc and some others and they said the stock is finished.

In March or April this year, they told us they've stopped getting it for free at PHCs, I don't think it ever came back since then.

Sorry, you boil a full kettle of water, put in a bucket then put like two lil drops of silverbird. Carry your baby, cover your head with towel, let him inhale. You can also leave a drop or two of silverbird on your pillowcase, so that baby would inhale it. Don't let it come in contact with his skin. All this is just for temporary relief tho.

Your baby is very young and it might be infection in which case he would need antibiotics, take him to hospital so he doesn't get worse at home.

Not always, it might start on the day the baby is born or even before that. The more the baby sucks, the more it increases, so a lot of babies breastfeed from day 1. But if yours doesn't come in early, you'll have to buy formula for newborn (e.g NAN 1) and feed the baby while still letting him suck.

Pls mamas, I'm worried about the tear I received, being a first time mum and being that my baby was too big 4kg I received a tear down to my anus, ..in fact I received both vagina tear and the tear down to my anus .

Which brings me to my worries, its been almost two weeks and the tear/skin down to my anus has not started gluing back together. I'm healing and feeling less pain, .and the stitches have almost completely come off but that line down to my anus is still very much open.

Has anyone had this type of tear before? ..when can I expect it to glue back together? Does it ever glue back together? I'm just scared!

Congrats, and sorry about your tear. I haven't had such, so I can't really answer, hopefully a mama that has experienced something similar would come and reply. How do you mean its still very much open, was it not stitched? If you think something is off with it, go back to the hospital and let them check it out.

Good day all. Experienced mamas, please I made some observations that I need clarity on. So, I'm currently 34wks FTM and around 27wks, I noticed 3 new "tummy movements" which baby is still doing till now.

1) A slow pulsing movement that lasts about a minute and then continues. I noticed later that it happens wherever baby's head is at that time and its not hiccups. ( I guessed baby was sucking her finger in those moments) Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

2) Sometimes, my entire belly will vibrate vigorously for about 30 seconds and then stop ( It is described as a seizure-like or shivering movement) Please, what is that? I browsed and many other mums have enquired into it but no one really has a definite answer. Its definitely not hiccups because its not rhythmic and women who claim to have experienced it during pregnancy say their babies are grown and healthy.

3) This one is like a fast pulsing movement and it happens wherever baby's head is too. Like she's shaking/ pushing her entire head while still moving other parts of her body. ( I knew I'm carrying an active baby since the 15th wk when I started feeling movements ) I just wonder what baby is doing.

Please, who has or is experiencing such and has answers? Thank you.

Lol that's the baby getting older, he's bathing, brushing, dressing up, partying, and getting ready to come out. Some of it might be Braxton hicks too.

Don't cover her too much when the weather isn't cold. And buy baby tribotan for the rash, use very little at a time for her neck
