How is my baby doing, hope she's better now? Pureed food can either be mashed or blended, some avocado pear can be too strong to be mashed with fork depending on how ripe it's unlike banana. If your fork can't mash it, you can use the mortar or blend it biko as far as your blender is good and free from orishirishi.

Pawpaw... blend with hand blender, banana and all other fruit too because I also find it not smooth when I mashed my banana with fork so I use hand blender

I just saw this little mortar on Jumia, maybe I'd hold on until I order it, I also saw the hand blender, the little ones sold for 1k ish. I think I'd just go with the mortar cuz it's easier to sterilize plus those hand blenders are not strong at all. Anyway until then, avacado would hold on cuz my spoon is just not cutting it, literally

Hubby was sprawled diagonally across the bed, passed out. I woke him to lie down well so that I can lie down, and as soon as he got up, he picked up one folded wrapper that was lying on the bed, threw it up twice and caught it, then hugged it that's what he does with the baby so I believe he thought he was holding her . I laughed until I almost cried then I collected the wrapper baby and told him to go back to sleep that the baby is asleep lol. This child would not drive somebody crazy.

This is so my baby. She's rejected all the baby food I've bought so far including formula. I've noticed she just doesn't want sweet food, she prefers food that tastes like adult food. Did u try putting crayfish in the millet/soybean combo. My baby loves August secrets foods especially when I put crayfish, but she won't eat it if I add formula. I think you should just cook whatever it is she likes to eat.

add oats to her meals. once a day or every other day. It has fibre and adds pooping. Also this combo :millet + soybeans + guinea corn..it's also very awesome and conquers constipation. If you can also find Gerber rice with DHA + probiotics, it's amazing

I just started giving my DS water last week. He also spits it out or spoils his mouth when he tastes it but yesterday I squeezed half of a whole orange and added it to the water. He gulped the whole 60ml in a twinkling of an eye.
His poop was softer afterwards unlike the semi-hard one he poops when he takes apple puree.
He clocked 6 months yesterday. I plan on using water melon henceforth so we will be doing oranges once in a while.

Thanks I'd try a little orange then, since orange worked, why do you still want to try water melon. I can't even say if my baby likes or hates water. If you take away the bottle, she'd cry. She would keep drinking a whole drum if you keep giving it to her, just that she would keep swishing it around her mouth and finally open her mouth to let it pour out. When you are done with that whole drama, only like half the bottle would be in her belly while the other half would be in her clothes- soaking through her bib. You must change cloth every time you give water.

Pear juice works. Also try to space the solids...not more than 2 solid meals a day for now, then make it a bit watery

thanks. BM supply drastically reduced the four days she was Ill cuz she didn't want bm at all so it was almost like I weaned and started again. Had to give more solids then cuz that was all she wanted and when she got well and wanted to bfeed again, it wasn't filling her cuz the supply had reduced. I'm gradually scaling back on solids now that breast is running well again. I think I'd make the solids three times a day sha cuz she's a foodie.

Please is there any thing else apart from water that I can give baby daily to avoid constipation. I try to give her water but she just plays around with it and spits out most of it. Or Is there anything I can add to the water to give it a more encouraging taste. She's finally pooping now and it's hard and she's straining too much

Funny enough I judged the doctor from when I heard him calling for patients, he's new cos I've never seen him before, and told the nurse to take my file to a guy that I like. Unfortunately he got called to attend to an emergency and another nurse packed his files to distribute. Imagine my shock when I heard my baby's name from his mouth

U know once they start solids, they may not poop as often as they used to. U sef think am Na... If u change ur diet from tea to AKPU, ur digestive system sef go gats adjust

Watch out for the consistency of the poop... Hard and in pebble form could mean she is constipated. Else she is fine and just not ready to poop.

Give her WARM water first thing in the morning
U can try pear puree ( but b sure the diarrhoea is gone b4 giving this)
Oatmeal is milder to digest as compared to rice n co.

In summary, she needs to poop first b4 u can ascertain Dt she is constipated.

Biko my baby did not poo all through yesterday and today. She had diarrhoea when she was sick and that just stopped on Friday, since then she hasn't pooped. Won't be bothered if she was still EBF but I just recently started giving her semi-solids atleast four times a day, I also try to give her water a lot tho she plays with it and half end up on her bib. Anyway, thought she should be pooping everyday now that she's eating other foods, at what point do I begin to worry?

So Bobo has Malaria and infection. And we were given meds including Lonart 20/120. That's how they said I should give him 14 mls a day AT ONCE!!!! I asked like 4 times, babe who dispensed the drugs said it's correct. I checked the leaflet in the box, it says 5ml in the morning, 5 in the evening which makes more sense to me. Mamas who know pls advise. My baby is 7 months plus and 9.5kg

Maybe you should google this and also ask your doctor. I know there was a phase where my baby started sticking out her tongue but it was just a passing phase and not from birth
