Chelsea have lost more games than they have won in the Premier League this season and are once again in the middle of the table, just as they were last season under manager Graham Potter. With the club languishing in mid-table coupled with their recent 2-1 defeat at the hands of Wolves on Sunday, Chelsea is still putting on the horror show that fans endured last season that saw the 5 time Premier League champions finish in an embarrassing 12th place. Former Liverpool and England striker Peter Crouch said it was "unfair" and placed the blame for Chelsea's current problems solely on Mauricio Pochettino. The Blues are mid-table at half-time in the Premier League for the second year in a row, with more defeats ( than wins (6) in the league. With 22 points after 18 games, they are level with AFC Bournemouth and Wolves, who won 2-1 at Molineux on Christmas Eve. This comes as manager Todd Boley has invested nearly £1bn in his squad since becoming owner of the club 18 months ago, signing Benfica's Enzo Fernandes for £106m and Moises Caicedo. This was despite signing a high-profile nine-figure deal, including the £115m signing of the Reds from Brighton. Much of that spending was incurred before Pochettino took over as manager, but the Argentine is still tasked with building a winning team from a vast squad, which has so far proved difficult. Despite leading the Blues to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup, Chelsea have clearly underperformed in the Premier League. There have been rumors of dissatisfaction with the way Chelsea's season has gone, but Crouch says it would be misplaced to place the blame solely on Pochettino. The former striker said on Peter Crouch's podcast: "I don't think it's all his (Pochettino) fault. If you look at their managers over the last few years, ( Graham) Potter as well, there's a lot of turmoil going on behind the scenes and I don't think you can really judge him based on what's going on at the moment. Manchester United have been enduring a terrible season in 2023/2014, and as such, many of the club's players are not happy. It is being reported that a very experienced senior player wants to leave the club as he has seen playing time become very less under manager Ten Hag. According to L'Equipe, Raphael Varane (30) is dissatisfied with Manchester United's decline in the hierarchy and therefore, he is open to leaving the team. In recent weeks there have been increasing reports of Varane's possible departure. The Frenchman is under contract with the Red Devils until the summer of 2025, but has played an increasingly peripheral role under manager Erik ten Hag. A restructuring of the squad is reportedly being planned as Manchester United struggle, with Varane reportedly one of the assets the club is looking to sell, possibly as early as the January transfer window. Varane said he intended to finish his career "either at Real Madrid, Manchester United or Lens". L'Equipe newspaper reported that Varane was unhappy with his relegation and was open to stepping down. His options are not endless, and sources close to him denied reports of a possible move to Saudi Arabia to the French publication. Varane has previously said he would end his career at either Real Madrid, Manchester United or Lens. According to L'Equipe, a return to Les Saints et Ores is therefore possible. But the acquisition could be financially difficult for Lens. Hello guys, I'm a 25 year old male and close to over 6'2 inches tall. Right from childhood, I've always had this thin physique that has made me look very lanky. Infact, I've never experienced what it feels like to put on weight or be fat 😁. Over the years, i have done a number of research and it i read that i have the endomorph body type or something like that, but i really want to bulk up so that it will fit my height. I can't afford to go on a diet or eat 5-6 times a day as suggested by the internet, but can i get bulky if i join the gym? |
"Social media has made it possible for people to ' express their opinions ' without getting punched in the face"-Mike Tyson When I came across that quote by the legendary boxer Mike Tyson, I couldn't agree less with him. Social media has given people the chance to be rude, annoying, and disrespectful with their words all in the name of opinions. I mean, why would you write something about someone you wouldn't tell them in person? Few weeks ago, the news of the passing of American legendary singer Tina Turner was a sad moment for the entertainment industry across the world and people were paying their tributes. I saw a lot of RIPs on several social media platforms for days. Then during the same time I saw a post on Facebook made by a self-righteous Christian claiming that Tina Turner doesn't deserve an RIP as there's no way she would rest in peace because she practiced Buddhism in the later part of her life (That was what he claimed, I don't know how true this is). He said she would definitely rot in hell. I was shocked and annoyed at the same time when I read it. I mean, why are people so mean and insensitive just because technology has made it possible to just sit behind a screen and type stuff from the comfort of your home? |
Ever since I was old enough to understand things, the word "honesty" and it's importance has been hammered into my ears anywhere I found myself: family gatherings, church, school, society. The thing people always say about being honest is that either it is just the right thing to do (from moral perspective), or it is something that pleases God. However, there's something that baffles me. I mean, what of the times where you'll need to hide a vital information to protect something or someone? Are you being dishonest at that point? I have seen respected men in the society in religion and in other institutions do things a person full of morals would describe as deceit and dishonesty which seems to work out fine for them at the end. On the other hand, I have seen honest actions turn out to be foolish actions. What is does it truly mean to be honest? |

Oluromantic:Getting the opinion of a physiologist is good but is it important for exercises like just pushups and squats? |
Liballo:If it takes that long to get relief is it then ok to exercise everyday? |
I have been doing some push-ups along with other forms of exercises lately. But whenever I finish performing reps of pushups and squats, I feel very weak throughout the day. Like, my joints, triceps, and other parts of my body that took the intensity of the exercises hurt. Could this be because my body is not used to it or what could be the cause? |
I'm a 25 year-old male and a student in the university. I have always been taller than my most people my age right from my childhood days. By the time I was eleven years old, I was slightly taller than my dad who is very close to 6ft. I have always been teased about my height for years and it seems that the older I get, the more awkward it becomes. I have a very straight and skinny physique as I have never experienced what it means to put on weight (at least not to a noticeable extent). I feel very awkward walking around shorter people though I don't show it. Sometimes the kind of clothes I wear do not help as they make me look taller. Please what advice can I get from you guys in terms of how to look better as a very tall person and how to improve on my physique. |
ademasta:No. But what has it come to do with this? |
Hello guys, there's something I have been observing about myself lately which I don't quite understand why it is so. I lose interest in girls quickly as though we never met. Like, on several occasions, whenever I meet a girl and we talk and end up exchanging numbers, I stop calling and texting them after a day or two because all the vibes that made it happen dies down very quickly. Is this mood swing? The worst is that if I get to see you everyday and we don't have much in common to talk about or I'm not very close with you, things will get very awkward and we will start behaving like strangers to each other. I know my introverted nature can be very overwhelming at times, but I don't want to think that I'm becoming very proud or overthinking things. What could be the cause? |
Hello Nairalanders, there's something I need an advice about because I don't seem to understand or how to go about it. I have a very introverted personality and my relationship with girls hasn't been very great. For some reason, I get turned off by girls who I think are just as introverted as I'm. I mean, I hate it when I have to be the one to always initiate a conversation and brighten up the mood even when my social skills is not very good. I have friends who are really extroverted and seems to make girls giggle everytime which makes me envy them. These guys say whatever they like and girls seem to like it. What have I been doing wrong? Because most times I don't usually know what to say to girls when I meet them as my head usually goes blank which makes things quite awkward. The other thing is that I'm a very tall person 6'4, which sometimes seem to intimidate girls even whenever I try to be friendly. Whenever I try to get a girl's attention, she would just hurriedly greet me and pass as if that's what I wanted. Please what do you guys think I need to improve on? Is it my way of approach or are there some social skills I need to learn? |

The hypocrisy in this country is too much. A little kid got lynched for stealing cups of rice while the politicians that have stopped this country from becoming a better place by looting publix funds are being celebrated. There are somethings we do in this country that even the devil will take jotter and write some notes down to learn. |
