Quilox Club CEO, Shina Peller was on thursday attacked by political thugs during an APC Campaign in Oyo state.

According to him, his mother and wife escaped being injured as the thugs attacked his convoy.

Since I got actively involved in politics, I have preached against political violence, and this is often reflected in my utterances and acts. The ugly incidence that occurred yesterday during the Oyo State APC campaign in Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency saddened my heart.

After touring the three other local governments in my constituency, we returned to Iseyin with our leader, Governor Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State. The governor addressed thousands of people gathered and even promised to grant our yearning for the establishment of University in Iseyin.

However, to my dismay, my convoy was attacked on my way home, and cars destroyed by some political thugs. My mother and wife almost got wounded. Why should any politician go violent on the opposition if truly such a person is driven by the desire to serve his people purposefully, and not for selfish interest?

One of the major reasons I am into politics is to ensure unity and peaceful coexistence of my people, as I have realised that disunity contributes greatly to our underdevelopment. Unpleasant news like this is bound to discourage many like me who are truly driven by the desire to serve our people positively from venturing into politics.

Here is a moment the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha allegedly gave Imo State school children N500 and some N1000 in Orlu, to go home and tell their parents to vote him in the coming election.

In the video going viral on social media, the daughter to the governor who's the wife to Uche Nwosu, was seen compelling the pupils to sing praises to the Governor.

This is coming days after the executive governor of the state, flagged-off his campaign to represent Orlu Senatorial zone in the red chambers of the National Assembly.

The campaign flag-off ceremony was massively crowded with youths, children and adults of Orlu zone and other solidarity groups across Imo state.

Internet users who reacted to the latest act, backlashed the governor and his team for engaging in such.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two men for allegedly initiating primary school pupils into a deadly cult gang known as ‘the Awawa Boys’.

The police said they rescued children whose ages ranged from six to 16 years, including a 16-year-old girl, from the cult gang. The rescued children are currently undergoing psychology tutorial at the command’s Gender Unit. .

The police said it was a Guardian and Counselling teacher at the Egan Community School, who uncovered the cultists’ initiation ceremony plan. .

The teacher was said to have noticed a particular incision on the lower jaw of some of the students and decided to ask questions about it, to which one of the children confessed that any school pupil or student seen with the mark was a member of the Awawa cult group. .

Consequent upon the discovery, the teacher raised an alarm and the school authorities reported the matter to the police. .

During interrogation, the girl confessed that she did take the rest of the children for initiation, and that the symbol on their jaws was that of the Awawa Boys.

A Nigerian lady, identified as Kachi unfortunately landed in a hospital after her 'Zanku' Dance went wrong.

In a video going viral online, Kachi was warned severally by her roommates, but she turned deaf ears and continued with the dance until she mistakenly missed her footing and destroyed almost everything in their room.

An audio probably a throwback or recent, have emerged of the DG of President Buhari campaign, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, pouring encomium on Olusegun Obasanjo.

This is coming after the former president, made a press release of the President Buhari's administration and how things are falling out of place under his watch.

The Northwest Zonal office of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the recent visit of Atiku Abubakar to the US as an exercise in futility.


Alhaji Abdulmanaf Mohammed-Daura, the Zonal Organising Secretary of the ruling party made this known in an interview with newsmen in Daura on Sunday.

He said the visit would not add any political value to the PDP presidential candidate or stop President Muhammadu Buhari from winning the presidential election with wide margin.

According to him, about 85 per cent of the electorates are solidly in support of the re-election Buhari because of his administration’s considerable gains in critical sectors of the national economy.

“Our voters are Nigerians not Americans and are ready to give another mandate to the President.”

Mohammed-Daura further expressed optimism that the APC record overwhelming victory across the 36 States in Nigeria, because “our party has impacted positively nationwide.”

Internet users are currently expressing their anger online after two white female daycare workers were seen in a disturbing video abusing a black child in front of other children.

According to MTO, the video was released from a Lubbock Texas daycare.

In the video, one of the female daycare workers can be seen in the footage filmed by her colleague grabbing a child by her hair in front of other children and forcing the exhausted toddler to eat instead of putting her down to sleep.

The women reportedly livestreamed the incident to their friends, who then recorded the abuse and shared it online.

A middle-aged woman, Bola Obamoyegun, whose two sons are currently serving terms in prison for armed robbery, has been arrested for aiding her third son, Dele Obamoyegun, 27, who is also a robber in Ekiti State.

Dele was arrested along with five other suspects for alleged armed robbery, murder and cultism, while his mother was nabbed for “conspiracy, armed robbery and receiving stolen property.” .

Mrs Obamoyegun admitted to newsmen that her sons are serving terms and also admitted that Dele is her son. According to Ekiti State Police Commissioner, Amba Asuquo, the six-man robbery gang, to which Dele belonged, also allegedly admitted to killing a member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr Michael Adedeji. .

He gave the names of the other all-male gang members as Idowu Sunday aka Longer, 25; Adeniyi Wumi, aka Wumi Woro, 23; Leye Ojo, aka Danku, 26; Akindahunsi Damilola, aka Akure, 22; and Olaosebikan Babatunde, 48. .

40-year-old Hon Adedeji, a PDP lawmaker that represented Ekiti South West Constituency II, was shot in the head on August 10, 2018, at GRA, Ado Ekiti, and died a few days later.
